Met a friend for lunch at 11:30p on a Wednesday afternoon. The line to order wasn't long and however two of the four counter workers were taking phone orders. I didn't have to wait too long before one of them got off the phone and I was able to place my order. Once my order was placed I was handed a # which you place on a holder when you select a table. Servers bring your food to you but you get your own drinks at their drink station. Newk's has some of the best iced tea around! I get 1/3 sweet with 2/3. It was only a short wait before a server brought my hot roast beef sandwich and chips. You have a choice of sides and can pick from chips, pasta salad, cole slaw, or fruit salad. Not sure what kind of bread they use here but it is so good! With a crispy crust and soft inside, the roll was warm and just perfect! I came here with friends for our Christmas get together. It is very kid-friendly with booster seats and things even toddlers can eat. This was a must as we had a toddler in tow with us. I had been to a different location with coworkers so I was cool with trying this location as well as something new. Luckily I found a sandwich I liked, the Pesto Chicken Sandwich. It was a bit dry and I think it may be because of the goat cheese. I may substitute out goat cheese for another kind next time. I suppose the mustard would've helped with that (but I asked for it to be left off) so I could also try this with honey mustard instead of regular mustard it comes with. The pizzas looked interesting as well and I'd like to try one next time. It's a decent place and I wouldn't mind returning. On Tuesday I called Newk's in Collierville, TN to inquire about catering needed for an event in Moscow, TN on the following Saturday. I was told their catering was done through ez cater., provided with an 800 number, and instructed to call them. I was also advised they would not be able to accept any additional orders for delivery on Saturday and told another Newk's location might be able to fill the order. I thanked the gentleman and called ez cater. When I spoke with ez cater, I explained that I would like to have box lunches but was told by the Newk's location I called they would not be able to accept any additional delivery orders for Saturday. I was instructed by ez cater to submit the order for what I wanted on the ez cater website and if it was not accepted by Newk's location in Collierville, they would get back with me and discuss other options for meeting my needs. I did as instructed and received confirmation from ez cater for the acceptance of my order by Newk's. We received no further communication from ez cater or Newk's until WE called on Saturday and learned our order would not be delivered and told that if we wanted the food, we'd have to pick it up. When we arrived at Newk's (at the time the food was scheduled to be delivered in Moscow) the order was not ready. We waited an additional 30 minutes for the 24 box lunches to be prepared. read more

Went to eat during lunch and it was so crowded. My food didn't come for almost 20 minutes. The positive thing was my salad was good. Don't go after 12pm because the service gets impacted and slows down because it can't keep up with the orders. The other times I've been there before 12pm, my food came in 5-10 minutes. Be mindful when going there if you have limited time getting back to work, because if it's after 12pm, you will be late getting back. The staff really tries and I give them an "A" for effort but I saw so many unhappy folks waiting for their orders. I will still go back but I will go before 12pm. Placed an online order for two pizzas, 7/28/2022 Houston Levee Location. One bbq chicken for my daughter and one supreme for myself. The pizza was brought out curbside in a timely manner. Upon opening the box my supreme pizza was burnt. I honestly don't even know how they decided it was okay to even try and give it to me. So, I kindly went back in ( a bunch of teens ) appeared to be running it .opened the box and asked for a remake, they obliged. Waited for the remake which was pretty fast. Checked it out still was more burnt than what I get from the Germantown location anyways took it home my husband noticed the olives were missing and the basil. With that being said don't think I'll be revisiting that location again. Not sure if the oven is not working properly or what. You know you would think when you have to go into a place, order face to face with an individual, that they could get your order right. Well folks, this place is no better than any fast food place in Memphis. My order was simple too, just two sandwiches and a cup of soup. They gave me one sandwich I didn't even order and the other sandwich was wrong. I love this place. Plain and simple. They have a variety of sandwich, pizza, and soup options here and also a nice touch of dessert options as well. I've been to Newk's at least three times, twice at this location and once at the location on Poplar. Both are nice with exceptional customer service. I highly recommend the chicken pesto sandwich or the spicy chicken pizza. The chicken pesto sandwich is my all-time favorite on this menu. On my last visit, I had the spicy chicken sandwich (see picture). Although the pizza was good, it was little dry more than my liking for a pizza. I guess I'm use to the chicago-style pizzas and I seem to compare all pizzas to that standard. Prices here are very reasonable and it's safe to say that you can get a meal and a drink for under $13. The restaurant is filthy. We came at opening and there were old macaroni and cheese containers under our table plus old food everywhere as if they did not sweep before closing or opening. Worst experience I've had at this location. I use to go to Newk's all the time and every time, this location has been slowly declining. We walked in during the slowest time of the day. As we were looking at the menu, all of the employees were standing around, talking and gossiping about things that shouldn't have been heard. As we were ordering, the young lady was not very engaged with assisting our order. We even had to repeat it several times. After paying for our (small order - two salads), didn't receive a receipt. After waiting for about 10 minutes in an empty dining room, a gentleman came by and asked "if we had ordered yet?" Not only was that the downfall, the salads we ordered were both overly and disgustingly dressed. They were both so overly dressed that we couldn't even eat. This has to be the worst Newk's I have been in anywhere. The service is continuously extremely poor. I placed an online order. I show up at the time stated. They say it is almost ready which is fine. I do not expect it to be ready exactly at the time. 3 young girls working. Two were making orders then start looking at their phones. The third takes an order from a couple that walks in and places an order. She completes their order and they leave while the other 2 do nothing and I am still waiting. A man comes out from the back and I hear him ask if the sandwich I ordered had been made to which I hear the two on their phones say no. I just ask for a refund and leave. I only go here because it is close to my house. We have literally been the only ones in the place and it still takes 20-30 minutes to get our order. I never go in to this location that most of the employees are looking at their phones. I have been in on a Sunday afternoon at 2 or 3 in the afternoon and most of the tables still have dirty dishes from people having been there and the employees are just standing around.
