MPC is the best cracker thin pizza in Collierville. I love the cheese sticks and tried the Hawaiian and BLT pizza. Both were good but I ordered a side of ranch for the BLT and the Hawaiian was so delicious with their pizza sauce. This was P2 and my first time trying Memphis style pizza. We were in town for a friends wedding, and were craving pizza before the festivities started. For some reason, there were 8 or so pizza options all within 1-2 miles of each other, consisting mostly of pizza chains. So when we saw Memphis Pizza Cafe and how it's been voted best pizza several years running, we wanted to come check them out. Walking in, we could tell that the space is family friendly and welcoming. We opted for two pizzas and chose the toppings we wanted. The wait was a bit slow, and we received our food after about 20 min. It seemed as if they were slightly short-staffed which may have explained why. But the pizzas came out fresh and hot much to our delight. We learned that Memphis style pizza is really super thin crust pizza. This was a welcomed surprised as we aren't fans of eating the crust (it's just bread). This allowed us to eat more of what we ordered without feeling guilty about consuming too many carbs. I think one of the best parts about our experience was how affordable the pizza was. We paid about $18 for two pizzas, which still gave us leftovers. The quality of the pizza is better than pizza chain pizzas but cheaper too! We'd be happy to go back to try our their other toppings and enjoy watching another football game with the TVs they have set up. read more

There's a stuffy thing about Memphis pizza cafe, but the food and service are consistently good. The dining room is unassuming with paper menus and vinyl tablecloths. Come as you are and seat yourself. On a Wednesday afternoon near their 11a opening time, there were a few tables already seated. I sat at the bar and ordered a soda, slice of veggie deluxe pizza (yes! They sell it by the slice!) and half Greek salad. The salad came first and was loaded. Delicious! The pizza came a few minutes later: thin crust, similar to what you'd find in NY, and toppings are abundant. I had to eat it with a fork. Service was fantastic from beginning to end with several employees and the manager checking on me throughout my time. Customer service is awful for people of color. I've often visit this exact location and in the past week, I experienced the worst customer service experience since ordering food at this location. While picking up my order, a male cashier made a comment to another male cashier stating to remove the tip jar from the front and that I wouldn't tip anyways. That was totally inappropriate and I've always tipped even if the service is lack luster which is typical for this restaurant. That was my absolute last time supporting this establishment. First of all the service was great. I have no complaints about anything except the food. The food, though... hoo, boy. My partner and I both ordered 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich. I got Caesar and meatball, they got Greek and roast beef. We didn't discuss the food until we were on the way home, and the partner said, "Was your food good?" We agreed that both the salad dressings were too sweet, which is not a major sin. But we also found both our sandwiches to be dry and tasteless. The bread was overdone, nearly burned on both. The roast beef was thin, dry, and flavorless. The meatballs were dry and bland, there wasn't enough sauce, and what sauce there was was too thick. Ordered two pizzas and a salad for pickup. Over the phone they said they would be ready in 45 minutes and I arrived on time, but once I got there the salad had not even been assembled yet. After around ten or so minutes my order was ready to go. Since the pizzas had been sitting out and getting cold, they had to be reheated. But once the pizza was warmed up, it was absolutely delicious! Their pizza has a very flaky thin crust. The pizza with the garlic & chicken had an amazing amount of flavor! I gave the collierville location another chance to redeem theirselves after finding a hair cooked into my pizza . ok I get everyone there has long hair but why ? Is it getting into the pizza ? but after I get another pizza the pizza looks like shit the crust is burnt it's over cooked and really taste like cardboard.I really like their pizza but when I called back to give them a heads up on their pizza I get a rude mgr that said I looked at it before I left that's bullshit btw but i just found another hair in my pizza .. It's been since 2014 when I last gave these guys a shot because on my first two triosvI was very weary of the food and service. However today everything was actually pretty good. My server was very attentive and she made sure everything was good from beginning to end. The food was actually pretty good. The Greek salad came out quick and was nice and tasty. Finally the ultimate cheese pizza had a nice thin crust.that was cooked just right. Finally the young lady who took care of us thanked me for my service (I was wearing my USS Nimitz hat) and then proceeded to give me a 40% veterans discount, nice touch. I will be returning. I've been to Memphis Pizza Cafe, probably three dozen times at multiple locations in my lifetime. I love that they are local and was always convinced Midtown baked the best pies, but Collierville has replicated everything you love about the original MPC location. I ordered 3 pizzas for carry out. All were delicious. Ordering online was tricky, so I ordered directly by phone. The gentleman that took my order was extremely polite. My order was ready in the 35 minute window and correct. Did I mention that their pizza is uniquely delicious? I recommend their ranch dressing with all of their pizzas that aren't sweet or just to have a treat. The BBQ chicken and Hawaiian stand alone with their own sauce without ranch. That's just my preference. Their ranch must be homemade with Hidden Valley. It's almost identical (a little better) than when you make it at home with the HVR packet, milk & mayo. I recommend their ranch on the side even if you don't use all of it for your pizza. They give such a generous portion, you can save it for your veggies and salads. Or have one of their salads? They have really good salads too. MPC's crust on all their pizzas are light with a slight crunch, never too greasy. I'm not sure how they do it. Also, everything reheats perfectly at home in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes. If you have to use the microwave, it's okay but the oven is superior to reheat so it's not stodgy. The Cafe Supreme- It comes with Mozzarella, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, onion, green pepper, beef, sausage and mushroom. The sausage is crumbled and not bulky which I like. The ingredients are well distributed. Good stuff! BBQ Chicken - It comes with Chicken, BBQ sauce, cheddar and mozzarella. They could bottle the BBQ sauce and sell it separately. It's that good. Pepperoni - They have the ideal balance of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Great for all, but especially picky kids. Their sauce isn't chunky, their crust is on point and it reheats well in the oven without all the grease and oil from the cheese and pepperoni. All of their pizzas are affordable and you can buy by the slice too. read more

Doesn't matter which location we go to. Consistency has always been spot on with MPC. Whether getting the pizza or salads or anything from the menu...they keep it consistent. I key in on that because, all too often, many other restaurants that expand fail to measure up to their original location. MPC succeeds where so many other restaurants fail. Oh...my tip? The half size salad is lot more than you think it's going to be. If you're sharing, go for a full salad, but half is plenty for one person! Their Greek salad is great! Their Hawaiian salad is great. I am disappointed that despite signs saying masks are required (and they are in Shelby County) some of the cooks in the kitchen were not wearing masks. The pizza is average at best, the toppings are a lot for a pizza place and probably gets people here, but not the best quality. It's like sbarros with smaller slices I guess? I had a slice and salad meal came to $7.02 and after waiting 15 minutes for my receipt I quickly left a 10 and asked for the receipt. Waited another 20 minutes until the waitress finally asked if I wanted something ... I was like yeah the receipt and while you're at it I'll take the change too. I want to send a special shout-out to Kristin and Mike, servers at the Memphis Pizza Café-Collierville, TN. They went above and beyond to make my 4 year old son's birthday party a success! I called a few days ahead to see if I could reserve a table for my son's birthday party (on a Monday night). They said they didn't take reservations, but that it wouldn't be a problem to get a table for 17 on a Monday night. Sure enough, when I arrived, they had the tables all put together for the party. That's when the above and beyond effort started. My son's birthday party was Star Wars themed, so when they saw me arrive, both Kristin and Mike offered to help me put all the balloons and decorations on the table, which they did! They then offered to put the birthday cake and ice cream in their fridge and asked if they could get a couple of pizzas ready for the kids before they arrived at the restaurant. By now, I was wowed and inspired by the service and initiative that these two young people showed (without me asking). But the thing that moved me to tears was when my son and his friends walked into the restaurant, they started blasting Star Wars music to go along with the party theme! I am so incredibly touched that these two young employees would go to such lengths to make my son's birthday party special! I know Kristin and Mike will go a long way in their careers with this type of attitude and care for their customers!
