When picking up my takeout order I was not given utensils and walked in to the takeout counter to get some. There was an employee standing there having a funny conversation with someone they knew. Stood there a while to get help but he continued to have conversation with her while there was another person in line behind me as well. Just totally ignored. Newks is where I love to go for Pizza. The cauliflower crusted Pizza. I do avoid the pizzas with Chicken simply because on pizza, thr chicken's usually dry (over-cooked). If I get a salad I order the dressing on the side, simply because I don't like my salad drowning in dressing. But you might like that. Terrible customer service, the cashier spoke maybe 3 words while we ordered. Those words consisting of i'm not sure, and when a normal person working cashier would go ask a manager or a fellow employee for help to answer a easy question, she sat there and asked if there and did nothing. This is especially frustrating when all i asked was if a few items on the menu are gluten free, and no one had any idea. I have celiac disease, so this is a health concern not just a preference. I have been to another location in Dallas Texas and the customer service was fantastic. This franchise needs to retrain and rehire there employees if they want to stay around. I find it inexcusable that a health concern is not taken seriously by your staff. I wish the best, but will not be returning. I am from north Mississippi, where both oxford and Tupelo locations are outstanding. Never an issue. Ever. Always great food. A couple of weeks ago, I called in a pick up order for a pepperoni only cauliflower crust pizza. I was hung up on after waiting 15 minutes, so I called back and put my order in. Upon picking up, I had a pepperoni pizza loaded with tomatoes. I called back and explained that the pizza was not what I ordered, and was not good. I told them I wanted a comped pizza. They offered that and a gift card. Fast forward to today. I call in a Newk's q cauliflower pizza, and I explain the precious scenario. They told me I could speak to a manager when I arrived. While waiting, I get a phone call from the male manager at this location. I'm in the store at this point. I hang up and speak to them in person. I got a free drink, dessert, and my pizza. The female manager and staff were wonderful, BUT, the pizza was wrong AGAIN. I bagged it in the bag I was given which was also too small, so all the toppings slid off of the pizza. The pizza was pepperoni and basil. I have no words. I am so disappointed that I won't be able to consider this an option for dining out anymore. I won't continue to pay for orders that are wrong. The two stars are only for the female management. Someone needs to learn to LISTEN more, and give less attitude on the phone. Until then, adios. There are many more Newk's I can drive to! read more

From this one: Not particularly loaded down with customers, it took about 25 minutes for a to-go-order, with others being served while I waited, even though they arrived more than a dozen minutes after me. This alone would be forgivable, but my sandwich had almost nothing on it, the soup (lobster bisque) had nothing but the liquid (I assume it's supposed to have -something- else in it), and they were so careless with putting it in the bag that it landed upside down and broke the seal, so half the soup spilled out, soaking and eventually ripping through the paper bag as well. We got knocked down a notch after waiting 10 minutes at the register before anyone came to take our order. After ordering I went to the bathroom and MY GOD it smelled like a bottle of Brian Fantana's sex panther cologne exploded in there. The culprit of the odor was a giant puddle of shit water flooding the sink area. DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS IN THIS JOINT. We get salads with chicken added all the time and it used to be grilled and flavorful...now it's just tasteless. The sandwiches are better, but I don't eat many of those. I did go at closing time so that may have an effect on it. The staff were slightly on the unprofessional side, but that's only with each other. I worked here around september 2019, Managers do not train new staff enough at all. I didn't even know there were roller wheel carts I could use to push around the large containers of salad. Several times I came in and my coworker's clothes smelled of mildew. Many of them hadn't gotten a new work shirt for over a year. Items in the salad line are supposed to be changed mid-day but they never were, people who had worked there for four years had only gotten fifty-cent raises. My coworkers were always chit-chatting. People would frequently leave during rush hours to go out to smoke, and everyone always rushes to close down their stations when it's closing time. Also, the salad line does NOT work like subway, you have to order what you want and don't want at the cash register, you can't point at things and say "I want this." Because of that I was reluctant to make this rating but something needs to change with this location. I haven't been to this location in more than a year, and unfortunately it has declined in quality drastically... with staffing issues and the pandemic, some decline is expected and forgivable, but unlike most places there seemed to be plenty of staff, and the customer service wasn't an issue, it was the food quality... I ordered the Cobb Salad, a former favorite, and it was over dressed and soggy, with a big slab of thin, leathery, dry chicken uncut and uncuttable, hidden on the bottom of the bowl. Y'all... we almost didn't come here because of bad yelp reviews, but as we drove by the parking lot was full and we figured all those people couldn't be wrong. I had the French dip with broccoli cheese soup and it was amaze balls! The root beer with cane sugar is really good and the prices were reasonable. My wife had the turkey sandwich and the grilled vegetable soup. When she took her first spoonful of soup her only words were "Oh My God." Pretty good Newks location. I frequent this location often. Always fast service and nice servers. Even when they have gotten my order wrong they have been receptive and quick to fix any mistake. Newks food is more about convenience and quickness. I do love the sandwiches, which are always warm and toasty. The salads are usually too drenched with dressing so I ask for it on the side. All in all, not a bad place to eat for a quick, filling, and cheaper lunch. I've been coming here for years and will keep coming. read more

Look, around Clinton there's not much to eat out and very few places to really go enjoy a quality, fresh meal. Newk's is one of those places. I LOVE their broccoli n' cheese soup, so much that every Thursday they serve it, me and my roomie make a point to come here and specifically have it. It's creamy, heavy and delicious. The chili chicken pizza is quite delicious but spicy, not your typical pizza. The pesto sandwich is very good, although it can get quite bready. Another favorite of mine is the chicken Caesar salad, huge portions of chicken and greens. One tip for the salad, is get the dressing on the side, they give way too much. I love the sweet tea here, and they have a nice selection of unsweetened, Splenda, and sweetened. The cakes looks horrible and honestly I don't think anyone buys those things. They sit in a glass container near the cashier and I don't think they've ever changed them out. Gross! read more
