Passing through and stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. My family skipped the buffet and ordered one of the specials (that was suggested by the cashier, who was helpful.) So, I have eaten here years ago and it used to be good. I don't know what has happened but we stopped for a meal while on vacation and management is lacking. Man left as we came in stating he had been there 45 minutes. They didn't cook my son's order until being told three times. The management and cook were arguing. Very fond memories of Mazzio's. My wife and three children lived in Clinton 30 years ago. Weekly, we visited our favorite Italian pizza restaurant. We brought our Mazzio's cups and enjoyed free drinks. Terrible, awful, horrible, no good, very bad - as in the worst ever - service at this location. We called for a pizza and were told it was a 40 min wait. FOR PICKUP. They "were a little behind." Ok, so I went 40 min later to get our pizza and waited another 25 min to actually get our pizza. I know why they were behind. Complete lack of focus and discipline by management. Staff lounging around, no one telling customers what was going on or how long to expect a wait, no apologies. It was AWFUL. They claim they never received my order ... and that there is no such thing as a Mazzio's app. They claim they have no way to refund my purchase. My sister went to pick up an order I placed online, and when she arrived all she got was poor customer service. As soon as she walked through the door she was met with attitude. The first person my sister encountered stated, in a harsh tone, that there wasn't any orders under my name. My sister then went outside to call me which during that time the order was found, but instead of letting my sister know the staff just stood inside all staring at her. After getting a copy of the order I placed, my sister went back inside and was told by the staff that they did have the order. Mistakes happen, but what I don't accept is a lack of proper customer service to those who are paying service. The least they could have done was apologize for the mistake, but I guess that is just too much to ask for. To add to this review: I am disappointed with the food. I grew up in MS and had fond memories of Mazzio's Pizza, but this was not the Mazzio's I remember. This is the first time having Mazzio's in over a decade as I just moved back to MS and I see that the food is not quality made anymore. So sad! read more

The food is fine, although to be fair I pretty much always order the same thing, and I don't eat here often. The staff is fine. However, last couple of times I've ordered delivery the pizza came with a decent amount of the topping on the side of the box. The buffet at this location is definitely lacking. The salad bar is decent, but the actual pizza and pasta is sub par. When my brother and I braved this location a few months back, the men's restroom was in complete dishevel. Apparently there was no door on the stalls and there was feces piled in the toilet. I haven't had the stomach to try again yet, and I'd definitely recommend you save your money for something else. read more

My favorite thing here is there salad bar. Has just about everything on it except jalapenos, but I understand that is not a common salad item! I highly recommend the southwest ranch dressing. The pizza is pretty darn good to! read more

Simply poor management. During lunch on my last 4 visits they either ran out of pizza on the buffet or came really close. I brought my children here and they had run out of pepperoni pizza once again. Had to wait 10 mins to get one on the buffet only to get 1 broken slice as there was a line to the door to get pizza. I just do what others do after paying close to $30 to feed a family and get poor service....take our money elsewhere. I grew up on Mazzio's as it was one of my go to places when visiting my Dad. However, things just aren't the same. The quality and cleanliness are lacking. The salad bar was not tidy and clean. Patrons had left their drinking cups on the bar. I wasn't crazy about my pizza, but the prices have been steadily increasing. The restaurant needs to be updated, but I know it is hanging on by a thread. They've closed all their Jackson locations, but I'm not surprised. read more

I called it in and the very polite young woman who answered worked it out with me, and even though the were out of my preferred crust I felt that it was going to be a fair solution. I hate to be this person, but I was so disappointed with the overall food and service at this location. I'd never tried pizza from Mazzio's, and I was really excited to try it out. My pizza was supposed to be ready by the time I arrived, and I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes. The place is full of teenagers or young looking college students. No offense, because we all need jobs but I think it needs some structure. It really seems all over the place. Some girl was wiping the salad bar, and she was wiping the droppings into the bar. It was quite gross. All she had to do was wipe the droppings into her hand and throw them away. Not quite sure what was going on there. There were toppings all over the floor as well. A quick sweep could've fixed that problem. They were very nice, but it needs work. Once I got home, I had two slices of pizza and found a hair in the second one. I was too disgusted to eat anymore by that point. Also, I noticed that the checkout girl had very long hair. If she is going to be in and out of the kitchen, it should at least be in a ponytail. This Mazzios is awful. I placed an online order that included a salad. Due to COVID-19, the employee prepares your salad. I go in and pay for a $34 meal and I gave a $2 tip. I asked Kierra was the salad she was preparing for me. She ignored me and finished preparing the salad. She handed it to the cashier to place in my bag. I stated Im allergic to tomatoes I cant have that. She doesn't address me at all. The GM Wayne comes out and tells me that I should have called to make changed to the salad and the site not allowing customizations has nothing to do with him. I told him I was allergic and asked could it be remade since I cant remove/add to the salad.. he said no. Then i asked for a refund on the order, he said i would have to go through the site for a refund. I asked for corporates #. I get to the car to call corporate and the line is busy.
