This is always our go to place whenever family comes to visit us because it is the most accommodating and the place with the most selection for the picky eaters in our family. Overall, the food isn't too bad. I've had better sandwiches, better pizzas, better salads, but for their price, you get what you get. Their dessert is good though, so I would recommend getting some. The service is nothing to rave about. They don't go above and beyond; they do what they can to get their job done. As long as they're not rude, I have nothing to complain about. We have Newks in Alabama, but I have to tell you we've never had as positive an experience as we did at your location today. The young man at the front was so helpful, friendly, and positive. I asked to replace the chicken for salmon on your summer salad, and he made it his business to problem solve and also explained to me that I would need to pay an additional cost for the salmon. A gentleman noticed that I had put my cheese aside and came by to ask could he take it away and took the time to clean the table as well. The bathroom was very clean, and the restaurant was super clean and welcoming as well. I know that this type of service is not normal and that the management team must work very hard to be sure to hire good employees and to properly train them in how to treat guests. I had a wonderful experience at this Newk's Eatery! Because of COVID-19, all employees wear masks, tables are specked out, and hand sanitizer provided throughout the restaurant. Their pizzas are the perfect size for one person. I had the Spicy Chicken Pizza, and they weren't kidding about being spicy! My wife had the Newk's Q Pizza and it was phenomenal! I had never been to a Newk's before so I wasn't sure what they served or what was good there but I was pleasantly surprised! I came a couple times while I stayed in the area and both times were great! I love the little condiment bar with pickles, roasted garlic, croutons, breadsticks, and so so much more that I can't remember. I wanted to get some of all of it! I ended up getting the ceasar with salmon and the turkey sandwich and both were really good and I would definitely recommend them. The second one however, I had to ask about twice, spoke to the "manager," who told me I had to "wait for to go orders," after I received my first order. Hm. My food was brought out about 15 minutes after, making it about a 45 minute wait. Watched cooks and waiters stand around and the food bar get cleaned while I still didn't have food. Would've gone elsewhere if my grandmother didn't have to have food to take her medicine. Absolutely inexcusable that my food was either forgotten about or simply never made.
