I have never been to a place that messes up your order and then when you call in to address the issue after driving 18 miles home hungry. The manager attempts to discuss how I the customer is wrong because I could quite the right ingredients of the salad I wanted. Smh. My family and I went to Newks on Sunday November21 around 2:30 pm. First time. When we walked in the girl that took our order didn't seem very interested in taking our order, she was not friendly and pleasant at all. when I was telling her what I wanted, she was leaning on the counter scraping a label off a cup. Mask under her chin. While waiting our order, she was combining her hair at the counter. Keeping her hands in her hair. Very unsanitary. The food was very good what we ordered I'm glad she didn't have to touch it, some one else bought our order. I hope she's not there again because she will NEVER take my order again. I thought it was ok at best... I ordered the chicken salad. My croutons were stale and the serving size for a carry out was mediocre. Great atmosphere and clean inviting establishment, but I probably won't rush back for another meal. read more

Went three for lunch. Had the Shrimp PoBoy and the Tomato Basil Soup. Absolutely delicious!!!!!

Excellent place. Do yourself a favor and give it a chance if you have the opportunity. The shrimp po'boy is absolutely amazing.

Hubby had the roast beef sandwich, Mom had the veggie pizza and I had half an Italian sandwich and a bowl of broccoli & cheese soup. It was excellent! And I enjoyed the extras at the front of the store; pickles and hot peppers! The service was wonderful! I hope this place stays great! Food is quick and very tasty; and I would give 5 stars BUT it is extremely noisy with lots of activity. You order your food at the register, and then they bring your meal to u after u are seated. Actually it reminds me of a school cafeteria with the noise, a constant number of patrons refilling their glasses, and people walking around . If you want a relaxing place to talk and visit, this is not your restaurant. I will return but not during the noon hour. Take-out is a quick service they offer. read more

I had the pepperoni and I am not a pizza fan at all but this was absolutely delicious! It had nice big pieces of pepperoni and Roma tomatoes and the sauce wasn't to heavy which was perfect! I tried the lobster bisque too and it was really good for a fast food style establishment! We took home some of the chicken salad to make sandwiches w and it was delicious as well! I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to go back and try some of their specialty sandwiches! read more

Friendly stafff, delicious food, great prices. Huge plastic cups for drinks, which is personal favorite for me, as I love a large ice-filled cup of sweet tea. First time here so we got their special Newks sandwich and special seasonal sandwich. Paid over twenty dollars for two sandwiches and 2 grapes, 2 pieces of cantaloupe. The food was sub par. My seasonal sandwich was dripping in oil and the other sandwich was dripping in sauce that was inedible it was so overpowering. We had to go home and eat lunch after. read more

This has been one of our favorite places to eat but it's going down since it's been like an icebox the last few times we've come. Last time we sat outside & another couple said they were out there because it was too cold inside. Seems like a waste of electricity to me. Honestly the food was pretty good, basically the same as any other Newk's I have been to but I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. My husband and I witnessed a woman that seemed to be an owner or manager being so rude to the other employees that we moved tables to be further from her. She was yelling at a young man that was working at the register in front of us and other customers. We then saw her being rude to another worker in the kitchen (where she was very close to food without a hairnet). As we were leaving, we asked for her name and found out she is middle management and is named Sherry. Sherry ruined our experience. read more

Newk's has a roast beef sandwich that is served on a delicious french bread--one-half of what could be a terrific French Dip sandwich. Inexplicably, however, they don't offer an au jus with it. Similarly, they have a variety of very good layer cakes, but no coffee. Cake without coffee and beef without au jus? What were they thinking?! read more
