Growing up in Leesburg, Georgia (where there is so little to do), I spent a lot of my teenage years and time home from college hanging around Albany. Particularly at Harvest Moon/ back then it was downtown in an old department store. Amazing food and bands and youthful antics! It's very, very different from what it once was. Back then. Many years have pasted since the restaurant moved closer to Whispering Pines and the Westover-ish area. The food is good. Pizza, calzones, salads, and assorted appetizers. The draft and bottle/can beer selection is appropriate for Albany. Or what you would except. Our waitress was very efficient, engaging, kind, and friendly. I appreciate her excellent customer service. Harvest Moon is obviously a place to be in Albany. The options are limited . I no longer live here, but it's easy to see that it is so much a local bar scene where everyone knows everyone. Edit: I don't understand not having an updated draft, bottle, canned beer list along with the food menu. Not asking for updates every day but it's nice to know what is and isn't available. While visiting family in Albany GA we went to this local family owned restaurant. Menu had a lot of Italian and sandwich options. Restaurant was clean and service prompt. I got a sweet tea which was easy on the sugar. My wife got the $4 peach margarita which was yummy and a little strong : ) For apps we split the onion rings with a mustard sauce on the side. They were large and crunchy yet light. We also got the small order of smoked nachos. Was enough for two with ok flavor. I got the meat lovers Stromboli and loved it. Could only eat half. My wife got the French Dip. She enjoyed it but said aujus was a tad light. Our guests got the fish tacos and çhiçken salad with sweet pickle relish both ended with empty baskets. Pizza is actually pretty good. Onion rings are meh and not worth it. Solid eggplant parm, but I'd stick with pizza here and not much else. Cheap margs during happy hour, taste strongly of mixer but they get the job done. read more

My wife had the Heated Hen wrap & I had the Besto Pesto chicken sandwich on sourdough. Both were EXCELLENT! Large portions, great presentation, competitive pricing! The atmosphere was spot-on, with classic rock playing on the jukebox. It was crowded with locals when we arrived at 2:30, but we were seated immediately. Stopped at Harvest Moon on a recommendation from a friend, en route to AL; lunch crowd, let indecisive millennial Ortho office staff go first since they have only 2 hours for lunch; eventually my order (lil piggy queso (lpq)) was taken and paid for...thinking it'll speed the process. 45 minutes pass (no lpq); move to the bar to allow more customers an opportunity to graze; 20 minutes pass (no lpq). After querying the waitress, WOW! Order up...got to the point of no turning around, out of Albany. pulled over to eat mah lunch. Was I ever focked! An award winning presentation on a 3 layers of lettuce, 9-13 tortilla chips, pulled knuckle meat with 2 plus cups of sour cream. To the LLC owners, members of your management staff, whew! We were staying about a half hour from here and came to Albany to visit the local brewery and decided to visit Harvest Moon for dinner. We chose it because they touted a variety of craft beer which we ended up finding out wasn't necessarily true for draft but we easily found something to drink. Based on the vibes of the place we weren't sure what to expect but the food was good! It was like bar food but taken to the next level for creativity and flavor. No aujus for French dip type sandwich "prime example." Food was almost ready and waitress tells us. So changed to wings instead and then the kitchen puts out ticket to back at the end of the line instead of making it then. Waited over an hour for our food. As always this is a great place to eat. The biggest problem I have is deciding what I want to eat. I went with the chicken parmella sandwich which was a good choice with ample amount of chicken tenders in the roll. The server was very attentive. He got us in and out quickly. There was a very loud group beside us and before we even had to say anything our waiter addressed the table and told them to quiet down. Harvest moon was recommended to me by so many people around Albany and i could see why. The food is good quality and great flavor. The service is pretty good as well aside from the bartender exploding my beer haha I got the spinning salad as my appetizer and it was delicious. It had beautiful fresh spinach,bacon, portobello mushrooms, and parmigiana cheese topped with a delicious crispy onion ring. It was delicious. As my entree i got the pizza. I had ham and onions on my pizza and it was really good. The crust was delicious and cooked perfectly. All in all this was a solid place that I would definitely return to. read more

Was a perfect venue for 4 adults and a dog to sit on the patio and share appetizers. I had a peach margarita as another reviewer had recommended and it was potent and delicious! We shared Little piggy nachos which were my favorite thing of the night. The pork was sweet and covered in cheese. I went here for late night food, because in Albany, Georgia there really aren't too many other options. They have a lot of live music going on so they charge cover but since we were just there for the pizza we were let in without having to pay. It's a small space so there's really no way to escape the band-not that they were bad but it was definitely LOUD! In a space this small and a music that loud it's hard to think much more get the attention of the bartender or waitstaff. The pizza was just okay, especially after waiting so long for it. I think if I gave it another try earlier in the evening things would be better. read more

I love Pizza....I mean I really love pizza....and I love non chain restaurants! We hit the mother lode on this place! My tellers didn't steer me wrong. I can honestly say that this could be in the top three pizzas I've ever had. Dough was perfect toppings fresh and plentiful! Husband had the French dip with the cucumber salad.
