Our server was Heather, and she could not have been any nicer or more attentive. She really went out of her way to make sure that we had a nice time and recommended walking around the restaurant and checking out some of the other spaces that had been remodeled interestingly. If you visit, make sure you do that. It's definitely worth your time. There were three of us in our party and we each ordered a different meal. The first meal was the salmon and green beans and the salmon was very good, the green beans with some of the best any of us had ever had. The second meal was the hamburger steak with onion gravy, and mashed potatoes. Also, a very good meal. The gravy was really tasty and the potatoes were done very well. The last meal was the chicken fettuccine and it also was good and very filling. One thing to note is all of the portions are pretty large, particularly the hamburger steak and the fettuccine both of which required take-home containers. My only complaint about the entire experience was paying the bill. There is a cash price and a credit card price. This is a pain point for me personally. I generally don't do business with companies that charge a fee to use a credit card and I'm not sure I would return to this particular restaurant partially because of that and well partially because I don't live in the state of Georgia. My feeling is if you feel you need to charge that extra fee, then don't take credit cards. I don't think that's fair to customers to have to pay that extra fee just for using a credit card. I'm really only pointing this out because this is the third time in a week that I've been to a business where they're charging an additional fee and I feel that if as consumers, we don't start pushing back on this, we're gonna see this continue in more and more businesses out there. I understand that they have to pay a fee to take a credit card, but what they're not taking consideration is, if they didn't take credit cards, their business would be severely impacted as well because not as many people would go there for that reason that they don't take credit cards. OK, so now that the negative stuff is out of the way, Ill repeat and say that this really is a great restaurant for the reasons already discussed. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was tasty with large portions. it was only that issue of the credit card fee that really put a damper on it for me. Alanta (my niece) goes to school there and we were so excited to shop, sip, explore and eat at Fancy Girl Farms! We all ordered the fried chicken and all were smart enough to split plates (since we were all driving hours home that same day). I'm a Southern girl, raised on fried chicken, so you should pay attention to this review for that reason, if no other.
