Was in town to take my mom to an appointment and she suggested this restaurant, which she had dined at before. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and seated right away. Our server took out order, but it took a while to get our food. My mom's order was filled correctly; however, mine was not. I had ordered the Goodness Gracious - an egg white omelet with spinach, onions, mushrooms. Though the order was listed with feta cheese, I specifically indicated that I didn't want the cheese. However, when we received our order, it had feta cheese. When I indicated that the cheese was included, it seemed as if I caused a problem for asking that I receive what I actually ordered. Unfortunately, when I received the entree without the cheese, it really seemed as if the order was halfed (like I had half an egg). The order certainly wasn't as filling as the first order. Additionally, the server was not attentive. I did notice two folks who came in about 30 minutes after we did, and the server was at their table every five minutes checking in. I had to get the attention of another server at least twice because our server wasn't checking in on us in a timely manner. Basically, I was not impressed. Friendly service. Dark roast coffee was good not weak. Bacon was poor quality and overcooked . Pancake had black specks. Need to clean the grill. Eggs were scrambled good not overcooked . Grits ok. Place needs a makeover . Gets a lot of people and looks run down. The service area should not be in the main dining area. A very lively brunch/breakfast place, it was very busy but we were seated within 15 minutes. The host was very welcoming and a great first impression to our visit. Our waitress, Tamika was extremely friendly. The food and drinks were pretty good. I recommend the caramel cinnamon smile if you like sweet coffee. I got a Belgian waffle with bacon and i ate every bite. My partner and I were shocked by the affordability for the amount and quality of food we received. We only paid $25 for both of our meals and left with very full stomachs. My only con is while I understand it was busy, it did take quite a while (nearly an hour) to get our food. read more

Stopped in after checking out of the Airbnb for a good southern breakfast. My mouth had been watering for biscuits & gravy but they were out of them. WHAT...???? Completely disappointed by our service this morning. After ordering it took well over 30 mins to receive our food. Then upon taking the first bite it was obvious that it had been sitting somewhere as the temperature was lukewarm. After completing our meal we stacked our plates as a sign that we were finished. It took 15-20 mins and me finally flagging down our waitress to let her know we needed our ticket. She proceeded to check on other tables before attending to us and then tried to joke around before handing us the machine to pay. This waitress needs a lesson in customer service. read more

Awful. The shrimp and grits are nearly inedible. No flavor, half the shrimp weren't deveined, the sauce was just wrong. The biscuits and gravy weren't much better. Waited for a table because it was crowded and we were super excited to eat here. The waitress was obviously stretched thin. Many tables were empty by the time we were sat as the breakfast rush ended. Our meals took 30 minutes and no one notified us it would take that long. Tried before the meals came twice to cancel the order and the waitress did not comply or bring the manager over. As a result a member of our party (me) got very sick due to not eating )a medical condition). The manager said they DO NOT tell customers how long food takes because people won't stay. They have great shirts for sale and I bought one for $15. The ladies at the front welcomed us and answered my questions about the shirts. The menu is a variety of comfort food and I felt at home. This style of restaurant is one I love. Family and God first. The coffee is good and it's serve with a real smile. I'm glad this place survived the pandemic. It would have been a loss to this community. From my observation this group works well together which makes the customers relaxed. I asked for my eggs med we'll and I got over easy. Eggs aren't all that hard to make. A gentle tap on the yolk and if it wiggles leave it on the grill. The cinnamon swirl French toast is delicious. A dense bread with lots of flavor. They offered coffee and water to go. I would come again and I'll look for another franchise at our next stop. read more

When Waitress gives you the bill on the machine they quickly manipulate it to charge the highest tip instead of allowing the patron to select the amount. Further, they stand there and hold it to mildly intimidate! Ruins the meal to be forced to tip the highest amount. Food is good. read more

We live in Atlanta and are down here with a family member visiting the hospital. We found this place on Yelp and decided to try it...wow! It did not disappoint and we were pleasantly impressed. My bestie got up Saturday and said let's go to breakfast. My response was where....IHop? She said no lets go to Eggs Up Grill. Ok bet I never been there before. As soon as I entered the place I knew I would like it. It was one of those down home comfy cozy places. The menu is extensive. I tried to get some pics of it however when the table next to us was served I knew what I wanted right away. I ordered the potatoes. The plate is huge. It is made with Sausage crumbles, onions, bell peppers and cheese topped with two eggs any way you like it. I also ordered a side of bacon. It was the read deal. Hickory smoked thick sliced bacon. You can tell all of Albany goes to this place especially on the weekends. Everybody was visiting each other's tables and having fun. The server was very nice and accommodating. It was exceptional. I will gladly visit this place again and wished Atlanta had Eggs Up. It's more on my level than Thumbs Up. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the steak and eggs. I have been seriously disappointed at many places for the same order. The Steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. I asked for A1 sauce but did not use it. Great steak. The grits. Garlic toast and eggs also did not let me down. Great meal! This is a nice place for breakfast or brunch. Go early on the weekends they fill up fast. For good reason. The other meal was the chicken biscuit club. The biscuits are very soft and fall apart while trying to eat it but still a great sandwich. Good service very friendly. A lot of regulars come frequently. The manager walked and greeted all of the customers. I love the feel of the restaurant. Eggs Up is a pretty decent breakfast spot. The reason I gave them 4 stars is because they can be hit or miss when it comes to customizing your food. I don't live far from this place, so I typically eat here about once a week. Most of the menu comprise of breakfast and lunch items such as burgers with a heavy emphasis on eggs. I've tried many items on the menu and most were good to great. The Patty O'Sullivan (egg, cheese, and corned beef hash omelet) and the Red, White, and Blue waffle (waffle with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries) are my favorites. Many of the breakfast entrees you can have either grits or home fries as a side. The only major negative for Eggs Up Grill are their limited operating hours as they are only open until 2:00 PM. I've literally been here at least a dozen times in the past three months and only had one minor bad experience with a delay in my online order. So overall service is prompt and wait times are pretty quick, especially early in the morning before the lunch hour. read more
