Stopped at New York Nails as my 10-year-old has been asking for a real manicure. We walked in and the staff was very attentive. We were able to walk in and have a manicure right away. The ladies were so nice and careful, since my daughter didn't want her cuticles worked on, and she wanted nail art. The salon seems clean and neat, there is a television to watch while you wait. They fixed a blemish in the nail polish after her nails were about dry. Then my younger daughter decided she wanted a manicure too, and they did a great job with hers as well. ANC manicure with removal of the previous set from another salon. Definitely a family owned business that could take me as a walk in appointment. I was hoping the shape would be more round to match the previous finish but that's my own fault for not asking them to be rounded. Finish is nice and thin, which I appreciate, but I do hope they don't break/crack. read more

This place is amazing! I got to school in Albany but I'm from Western NY so I haven't really gotten my nails done around here. There was no wait, as soon as I got in I was seated and able to pick a color. Especially since it was a Friday afternoon, I was surprised but happy about that. I had acrylics on that I got done back at home in January so I was really in need of a change and had never tried ANC powder before. The price is amazing!!!! $25 and my nail tech did an amazing job. Really paid attention to detail and even gave me a little back massage while my nails were setting which was nice. The color selection was great which made it hard for me to choose, but I ultimately chose this red which I LOVE. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future as long as I'm at school here. I love this salon. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Lisa is my go to girl, she is fantastic! Her pedicure leg massage is to die for!!! Once the salon was able to open again due to COVID they kept the salon pristine, I always felt safe continuing my anc and pedicures. read more

I wish I could do 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. My friend and I came in to get a 25$ pedicure listed on the wall. When we sat down we were chose to choose a pedicure from the laminated sheet that had about 5 different types 7-75$. We shoes the 15$ one and commented how we were surprised it was 15 not 25$. After they were done drying the nail guy proceeds to tell me I owe him 40 F***ING DOLLARS. He then informs me that the 15$ pedicure that I chose was actually a message even tho he told us to pick one, keep in mind I've never been there before and they knew we asked for the 20$ pedicure.. they laughed at us the whole time when we explained our side and trying to figure this out. If you can't do something dont lie and say that you can and make me waste my time traveling there to be disappointed. I called for calgel, which is impossible to find I this area. I know it isnt a common thing so i called specifically asked for this product. They told me that they do. I called TWICE, and both times they said yes. I arrive there to find out that they dont even know what I am talking about. ITS CALGEL!!!! GO STUDY IT. ITS YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!! Not only did they lie but started to drill down on my nails and it started to burn! I asked them not to use the machine because I have sensitive nails but clearly they dont listen to anything the customers say. I asked for calgel, no calgel. I said no machine, they drilled away with the machine (with the most coarse tip). I said no cuticle, they drilled the cuticle. Why do you have ears!?!?! This is such a horrible place. And the guy who did my nails is so rough and had terrible hands. Looked like he belongs in construction not a nail shop. Then the nerve they had to charge me TWICE!!!!!! Once for my calgel takeoff and second charge for polish takeoff. You guys are the biggest rip off. This place is a SCAM! read more

NEVER GOING BACK ..... THE OWNER WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE! I've been coming to this place for a couple of years now -- however, today was the last day that I will give any money to this business. Don't get me wrong -- the nail technicians there do a good job and they are reasonably priced -- but the OWNER was the one who I paid and she INSISTED on taking her employees' tips and not letting us give it to them directly. THEN, she proceeded to mock me and express her dissatisfaction because she thought that my tip wasn't large enough. Not only did she embarrass me in front of the entire salon, she embarrassed herself with the way she acted. I responded, "OH, you would like MORE?" and she actually said "Yes." The entire scenario was embarrassing and completely TACKY. I like the workers there, but the OWNER completely turned me off today and I will never go back. I can only hope that the nail technicians who worked on our nails today actually get the tip that we left. read more

I have been coming here for about six months now - it's the only nail salon where I'm completely comfortable. They are very friendly and always helpful in describing their services. After simply getting a basic manicure I now get the SNS manicure and it's just the best. They are very professional, clean and accommodating. I came here on a whim one weekday night, when my usual nail place was closed. I'm so glad I did because I walked out with the best pedicure I've ever had! I did upgrade to the spa pedicure ($45 rather than the regular $25), and it was worth it. While my feet soaked, a lady put a minty mask on my legs and wrapped them with saran wrap. The mask got stronger with time and it was very 'refreshing'. They also used a nice scrub, including a callous remover, and a 10 minute massage. Then they spent a lot of time on my nails, especially cutting, filing, cleaning up the cuticles, and a parafin wax for the heels. I've never had someone pay that much attention to my toes before - it felt really nice! They were NOT rushing through it. The polish looks great and shiny. I got a shoulder massage while my feet dried. Everyone was super friendly. As I was leaving, the owner lady came by to check to make sure the nails were dried and looking good...that was a really nice touch. This is my new go-to nail place! read more
