I have been going to LR Nail since last summer. I stumbled across it during a google search and they did a good job so I kept going there. The place itself is super cute. It has a pink color scheme, pretty chandeliers, and a nice waiting area. There are an array of colors to choose from and usually a lot of nail techs working. I tend to call in and request the same guy but even when he's not available, my experiences are usually positive. They're clean, efficient, and professional. I also think their prices are reasonable. I get ANC dip powder with added extensions for $45 (pre tip). If you add on a shape it's an additional $5 and an additional $20 for chrome. With chrome, I would suggest asking for additional coats and attention with the gel polish that seals it, as chrome tends to chip around the edges (at $20, it's worth trying to avoid that). Also highly recommend booking an appointment ahead of time. The wait to be seen (even with an appointment) can be length. I've waited 30 minutes some days. So book ahead, be on time, and communicate with your nail tech! I don't usually get any elaborate design, just one solid color and sometimes chrome. My dip nails generally last me 3 weeks minimum. I prefer going back in for removal to keep my nails healthy. read more

I tend to do my own nails, but every now and then you just need to treat yourself to a professional job. LR nail is always my go to. They don't seem to have a website so you will need to call to make an appointment. I believe they accept drop ins, but the place is very popular so I would suggest making an appointment to ensure they can see you. The space is large, clean, with a casual vibe. I had the day off so I went right at opening at 10 AM. In fact, they made my appointment for 940 before the place officially opened. This was a random Thursday morning, but by 10:15 there were multiple people there and by the time I left the place was packed! Prices are reasonable although they do always try and upsell you on the pedicure. A few times I have treated myself to one of the more expensive pedicure packages and they certainly are nice and include a leg massage. This time I stayed relatively basic and the total for a regular manicure and mid-level pedicure treatment was $60 before tip. They are efficient and I was out of there within an hour. One thing to know is they are very timely, I would suggest getting there at least five minutes before your scheduled time so you have time to leisurely look over the polish colors. read more

Came here for the first time with a friend for 2 manicures and pedicures, both gel. First of all let me just say, the setting and decor here are gorgeous, pink everywhere, cute couches and chairs, just amazing. We were sat quickly and given plenty of time to choose from their many colors. The pedicures were lovely and the staff completing these even set timers for the massage and paused them when they had to walk away for a moment. The staff here are very attentive and detail oriented about the service they provide. Even going so far as to bring over water and mints for us while getting manicures, which were of course the main event. We had high expectations for nail art coming in, and these guys delivered!! If you've ever tried to do nail art on your own you know how painstaking and time consuming it is. LR Nails puts in the work and effort to ensure their customers get the level of satisfaction they came in for. I would give this establishment 5 stars aside from the fact that they could not execute one nail or the design I requested (middle nail of bloody nails, scream face mask). That being said though they gave 110% effort, redoing it multiple times until we landed on a different design, and enlisting the help of different persons to attempt the design. This was my first time at this salon and I will not return. They pretend that they do not understand or speak English so they can suggest services to you and charge you bogus amount at the end. I told them over and over that I wanted the same style that I had in my manicure and that I also wanted pedicure. They quickly suggested combo and said that you will save money. I insisted that all I needed was a simple pedicure with gel polish and that my hands I wanted powder and the color is pure white. they proceeded to to do whatever they wanted to do and at the end told me that I needed to pay extra $40 for the power nail. I am shocked I just did argue because combo was $76 if I pay cash and $80 if I pay card. I did not want to argue after a long day of work. do I decided to allow them to do my nails with no powder. never again. now I have my fans with color that I don't care for. customers be aware. make sure to pin them to the exact cost for the services because at the end they always try to suggest services that you don't need just so they can make and extra dollar. I found myself in the middle of Albany in need of a manicure stat. Of course, I turned to Yelp to lead me to nail nirvana and ended up at LR Nail. It's part of a stripmall and we easily found a spot right in front of the entrance. It was a Saturday afternoon and pretty busy, but there was enough staff to accommodate us right away. I was going to go for a gel manicure but saw ANC, the powder nail method, was the same price ($30). I never tried it before so decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. They had SO many colors to choose from. Way more than I've seen at other nails salons as of late. It took awhile because I had to take off my gel and then go through the whole ANC process. I was happy to see that they didn't charge to take the gel off like some salons do. All in all, I didn't LOVE the powder method and actually found it a little painful, but I don't blame that on them. My manicurist, Sam, was friendly and gave a firm, albeit quick, massage afterwards. My friend got a regular manicure which was only $12 and quality as well. It also last 4x longer for about the same price. $32. My pedicure is regular with design for $35. Bring pics for designs. They do a good job. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday evening. My friend was getting a mani & pedi. They started on her pedi and after waiting 45 minutes to see if someone would go start her mani, I spoke up and was informed they don't do the services simultaneously. I take issue with this because 1) I wish they had signs stating or inform you when you make an appointment. Time is money and I would have chosen to go to a salon that does the services at the same time if I had known. 2) They were literally doing a mani pedi simultaneously on the girl sitting RIGHT NEXT to my friend, so don't feed me that bullshit. 3) Simultaneous is the norm. The owners (?) pretended like I asked for something out of this world. I asked politely (we confirmed by another customer) and was met with mockery. 4) This is pure greed and indicative of their quantity bd quality mindset. They just want more customers in the salon but don't care about the actual service they provide. Beyond the customer service, the guy who did my nails was not good.
