Nice people but gave me the worst dip manicure I've ever had. Super thick, completely uneven shaping, no cuticle treatment, and the ombré is harsh. I tried asking the guy to reshape etc. during the appointment and he was not really receptive to feedback. I paid $55 just to go have to get them redone somewhere else today! read more

I really enjoyed my experience here, all the staff were incredibly friendly! Which is why it pains me to say I do wish my nails came out a little better. I felt like maybe my nail tech just wasn't experienced in what I asked for (cats eye gel.) He dragged the magnet on my nail multiple times without fixing the smudges. We walked in around 1pm on a Saturday just wanting to be pampered. I had already read reviews and assumed we would have to make an appointment for later in the day. We made our appointment for a double pedi at 5pm and came back on time - maybe a little early. They did a beautiful job greeting us, Ivy even remembered what we wanted done. Our service began on time. Three stars because my tech acted like his life depended on finishing my pedicure in 30 minutes or less (and he did - 27 minutes, well done you). He set a 30 minute timer on his watch and then proceeded to scrub and jostle until the end. There was no tranquility or relaxation to be had. I was immediately just... disappointed. I understand that a salon that is booked out will have to set limits in order to be consistent and stay on schedule (there was no customer after us - he began cleaning the shop) but this service was robotic, lackluster, and maybe even a little nerve-wracking as I was hyper-focused on his timer as well. New owner and although she is extremely nice, i 10/10 DO NOT recommend going here. Not only did I get a terrible pedicure ( that i was still charged for?) but my nails arent even the same COLOR AS MY TOE NAILS. Im so unhappy with how both my nails and toe nails came out, despite i asked the owner to do my ANC nails (that were actually gel) because the woman who did my pedicure rushed it and cut my toes several times, the owner was extremely sweet & took her time. This is my favorite nail salon I have ever been to. You need to make an appointment because they're usually pretty booked, making walk-ins impossible. I go every 3 weeks with my mom to get a pedicure and ANC manicure. They girls there are all lovely; Ivy, the owner, usually does my nails, and she is fantastic. My mom goes to Kim and she loves her as well. They always do a great job with my nails; they have a wide variety of colors, and it always lasts the full 3 weeks. They always have something amusing on the tv in there. If you need a place to get your nails done in the Troy area, I 100% recommend making an appointment here! read more

I'm not the kind of person to always have nice nails but occasionally I like to pamper myself. I haven't found a place that was exceptional enough to come back to. But I think that's about to change! I was able to book an appointment a few days in advance. They had a cancellation so someone called me and asked if I wanted to come in earlier in the day. I only booked my appt for an anc manicure, but with the earlier appointment they were able to squeeze me in for a pedicure too! It was super nice of them to accommodate me! What was usually a warm welcoming place to get your nails done has changed to the complete opposite, cold and unwelcoming. Apparently Ivy moved to Texas and never posted anything on the company Facebook about it. Nothing like walking in and seeing all new faces working. I thought OK, that's fine, I'll give it a shot. Horrible pedicure, and ANC. I was there for 2 HOURS!! I have never been at any nail salon for that long getting everything done. The water for my pedicure was too cold, the girl next to me was too hot and it was quick and not pampering at all. I was a loyal customer of Ivy nail spa for quite awhile. I will not be back. I never review Nail salons because I'm never really wowed by them...but this place is the exception. Ivy did my nails, it did take longer than I expected, but she was a true perfectionist. I go ANC, and as anyone who gets ANC knows, it's a delicate line between looking natural and looking thick and goopy. She did an incredible job. Unfortunately I did not get the womans name who did my eyebrows, but it was honestly the best wax I've ever had. Same thing as the nails, took longer than expected, but she was a perfectionist. Do not go here these people are the worst. My girlfriend went in to get her nails done for an upcoming event that she had. The people working at this store proceeded to give her a color different from what she requested then broke her nail and refused to repair it correctly and finally spilled nail polish on her pants ruining them. After all that they made her pay full price despite her arguments. These people are scammers and I have already filed a complaint with the better business bureau. If these people never get another customer again it would be one to many. Just horrible! I hope these people get sued! read more

This salon was absolutely horrible and Unsanitary. I scheduled an appointment for a pedicure and a full acrylic set when I got there they got me set up for my pedicure, I feel that it was extremely rushed, The man was done with my pedicure in 15 minutes or less whos I find to be very rushed. Then when I went to go get my nails done I specifically stated my appointment was for acrylics they sat me down with a man who then did ANC on my nails. They started off by he didn't let me wash my hands first, which in any salon I've ever been to they have you wash your hands before they start doing your nails. He did not bother pushing my cuticles back,which they definitely need to be pushed back started to file my nails and then glue tips on that didn't even fit my nail correctly. After he had the ANC on my nails he started filing them with an extremely rough bit and cut my cuticles multiple times. It has been less than one week since I got them done and they're already lifting. And they were starting to lift less then a day after they were done. Now I understand nails aren't always going to look perfect, but it doesn't hurt to at least try to do them correctly. I will Not be returning I feel as tho I wasted my money. And I made sure to tip well even after I felt my nails weren't don't correctly. I don't have any pictures of them right after they were done,I do have pictures from one week afterwards which I do understand that after one week they are going to grow out a little but this was not one weeks worth of growth it's because they didn't bother pushing my cuticle back or putting these on correctly. I should have bought a set of press one from Walmart, they would of looked the same or maybe even better read more

Honestly I expected a lot more from a place with 4 stars. I got a gel pedicure that was mediocre at best. My nails were barely filed so they all ended up looking like shapeless blobs. Sloppy polish application, I had to try to scrape the edges with a file at the base of my nail bed once I got home to make it look better. They don't do anything extra like cleaning under the nail or applying the hot oil to your heel so if you're looking to treat yourself I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Made an appointment. Got there 5 minutes early. Waited 50 minutes before they started on what I requested...full set ANC. She started doing acrylic. I questioned her and she said it was better for the gel polish I wanted, which is ridiculous. I asked if she couldn't do gel on ANC? She made up excuses. She basically did what she wanted NOT what I (the paying customer) wanted. I know she could tell I wasn't happy but instead of an apology she made up more excuses of how I can get fills with acrylic but not ANC. Which okay...but that's STILL not what I wanted. I was and I still am, upset with the service. An apology would've went a long way...not excuses to just do my nails however she wanted to. I've had numerous people recommend this place for nail art. I decided, along with a friend, to give it a shot for a manicure and pedicure before vacation. The gentleman who did my pedicure did not listen to a word I said. Firstly, he used what was clearly labeled "top coat" for the base. As a result, the next day in the pool, my pedicure was coming right off. Pretty expensive for one day wear. I tried to tell him but he blatantly ignored me. Then, at the end he smudged one of my toes and tried to add another coat of color over the top coat, and then more top coat. Um. No. This time, I refused to move until he removed and re-polished. After that, no fewer than 3 people conducted my manicure. I requested a design on my thumbnail, and again, as soon as I hit a swimming pool the entire design peeled off. And this was ANC! The kicker? The entire process took about 3.5 HOURS. Absolutely not, never again. read more

I went to this nail salon for the first time with my mother and daughter, I had a fairly nice experience. Which is why we decided to come again. Boy was I in for a surprise. Ivy is the best! I think she is the salon owner, I'm not sure, but she is so nice and made my mother and I feel very welcomed. I wish I could say the same for the guy that did my nails. He kept talking to the other nail tech that was doing my moms nails, laughing and snickering most of the time. I really didn't mind that they were speaking in a different language and speaking to each other. What bothered me was the way they kept laughing, giggling and snickering. So not cool and unprofessional. It started to make us feel uncomfortable! I got gel nail polish and He didn't do a very good job. The polish finish was bumpy, lumpy and sloppy! It was not neat at all. He got the nail polish all on my cuticles. It looked bad! He's done my nails before, I know what he is capable of, he did a nice job the first time. I think this time he was not focused like the first time. the laughing and joking with the other nail tech was a distraction. He was not paying attention on what he was doing and rushing to get me out almost like he didn't care or didn't want us there. We got the hint..Way to treat your customers. I didn't complain, I just sat there took it all in.. accepted it and just told myself that I would just never come here again or recommend it. The sad thing is my mom and I really like Ivy. The two women who have done my nails always check in with me throughout my manicure to make sure I like the color/shape of my nails so I'm getting what I asked for. I was able to get an appointment very quickly at Ivy and the woman that I spoke to was very nice. The location was clean and convenient to get to. I also thought that the woman that did my nails was nice. Unfortunately, I was not happy with how she did the ANC manicure. Sometimes when you get ANC, the technician applies so much powder that it makes your nails appear dome shaped. This happened here. I repeatedly told her it was too thick, and she made them a little thinner, seemed a bit annoyed by my request, but they were still too chunky for my taste. The photos don't truly capture it, but even by the cuticle they were very thick. I've gotten ANC a lot so I know it's possible to make them not dome shaped. At the end of the appointment she kept asking if I liked them, and at this point I did just say they were fine because she said there was nothing more she could do. She was nice enough to tell me if any of my nails broke because she thinned them so much that I could come back to have them fixed. Many picture reviews online did not appear dome shaped, and it looks like the owner did them. If going here, I'd probably recommend booking with her! read more

I went to New Orleans early March and the one thing I was so very much looking forward to upon returning was a pedicure. Well covid happened. So here I am 137 days later getting my much desired, and needed, pedicure. I called to schedule an appointment as that's how they are also enforcing social distancing. I arrived 2 minutes early and noticed the sign on the door that stated to wait at the doorway to be greeted. I was greeted verbally right away and as soon as I said appointment she asked if it was for a pedicure. She then took my temperature, and directed me to go straight to the back and wash my hands. There are partitions in between each desk workstation, floor markings with tape, plastic dividers from the ceilings for you and your nail tech, and also a heavy plastic liner (think a really sturdy shower liner) for your pedicure chair and the one next to you so you can have sense of safety, and social distancing throughout your whole visit. So as I'm in the chair now I'll have to come back and finish my review. This is pretty lengthy, but so far I have had nothing but a great experience and will leave 5 stars for now. So I ended up getting a signature pedicure (I believe) with gel for $51. I believe a regular pedicure is $26. I'm ashamed to say that for the condition my feet were in $51 was nothing. Kim was my tech and she was amazing. I feel like a brand new woman! She wasn't pushy in asking if I wanted a special pedicure package, and that's appreciated. They only do appointments, no walk ins, but if you're interested hopefully you get in as fast as I did, its well worth it. read more
