The nail tech here started using the electric nail filer (nail drill) on my nails to get the polish off, but I explained that my nails are super sensitive to the heat that comes off those machines, so I prefer to have my nails wrapped in tin foil and nail polish remover to get the polish off. She said that the electric filer, was the only way to get the polish off, that there was no other way to do it, to which I explained, "I undersand it's your preference to use the nail drill because it's faster, but it's not the only way. I've had my nails done with gel powder for nearly 5 years and you can wrap my nails in polish remover." She argued with me again and said there was no other way to do it. I decided to let her use the drill since I was already there and needed my nails done for an upcoming event and within minutes, was pulling my hand away in reaction to the heat--I explained again that I wished my nails weren't so sensitive to the heat, but that they are. She then spoke with her coworkers in a different language, and she insisted again that there was no other way, and I repeated myself that there was another option and didn't understand why they wouldn't just wrap my nails in polish remover. Stubborn and argumentative, I ended up leaving with a half done set of nails. Seems this salon doesn't understand the concept of supporting the customer's needs. I won't be back.

I hadn't looked at my nails closely told the technician that it was ok to just file my nails. She noticed that I had broken one nail and suggested that she cut my nails a bit so that they'd be even. I agreed and my nails look great. The shape is perfectly oval and the cuticles are super smooth. My pedicure was great too. I was offered something to drink during my pedicure. The space is very clean and everyone is friendly. It's always nice to walk into a new nail salon and be treated like a long time customer. Next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to come back.

My nails stay healthy, and I've never had an issue with irritation or any other kind of yucky bacterial issues like other salons you read about. I absolutely LOVE the employees, and everyone is so sweet--and they just remodeled this year so the salon itself is beautiful! I normally work with Peter, Amy, or David but the entire team is very talented. I've read on here little tiffs here and there, so here are some tips to keep in mind: * the sander is used for cuticle removal, then the tweezer tool, so there isn't the traditional cuticle tool that other salons use; the sander and tweezers are less painful and do a great job * if you don't want to pay extra for the long lasting regular polish (silver top) you can bring in your own polish at no extra charge * if you visit (I believe) three or more times you're offered your own box with your own nail file and buffer--mine last a year each so it's well worth it * after eight visits/filling your customer card, you get a free mini-service, like eyebrow waxing, or a paraffin dip (there are others I don't remember) Like I mentioned, I love this salon and everyone works so hard. For years they offered ANC for only $20 while everyone else was already charing $35+, so cut them some slack on their new prices. Support your local businesses :)

Both came with a nice shoulder massage. The basic mani came with a hand massage too but I think they didn't have time during the gel mani. Mind you I haven't had gel done since pre covid and I have thin nails but she still gave me 2 tips using ANC instead of gel. I thought this was weird since my old place used to build it up and didn't so powder ANC for tips. Also, my old place used to be great at cleaning up cuticles on the sides but none of the new places bother, this one as well. My biggest complaint is; my old manis I used to push to 6 weeks. This one chipped after 1 week exactly. I was very disappointed.
