Mimi, the owner, made the correction and exceeded my initial expectations. The woman who initially did my manicure was apologetic and kind upon seeing me the second time, with no awkwardness. I have never seen such calm and focused multitasking skills. Mimi has over 30 years of experience, and it shows. While meticulously painting the "ballerina slipper" white across the tips of my nails, she's answering phones, greeting customers, and being an attentive mother. Sunshine is not a hoity-toity spa where the polish is organic, the wallpaper is made of hemp. Sunshine is a family-owned business and family, is the heart of their business. We understand that nobody is perfect, and sometimes the quality of a service doesn't turn out as expected. We didn't hold that against them because mistakes happen. Over the past month and a half, we had to return multiple times to have the same problems fixed. Each time, we were assured we wouldn't be charged since they were correcting their own work. Yet when the service was finished, they acted as if those conversations never happened and charged us anyway. That's not how loyal customers should be treated. Maya and the management showed no accountability, no appreciation for long-term customers, and no integrity in how they handled the situation. Instead of standing behind their work, they chose to nickel-and-dime a loyal client after repeatedly fixing issues they created. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and money.
