During our late afternoon stop there was only one other customer. The staff were quite friendly. But sitting at the bar we had a direct line of sight to the door that leads to the kitchen. This place is such a hidden gem! Covid folks: they just renovated the outdoor patio (pictures) with tables and cute date-y spots that feel kind of private. It's my new favorite summer spot. The food is awesome (pizza, burgers, tacos, handmade pasta) and the portions are huge for the price. Awesome service! The waitstaff is really good at getting a lively vibe. The meals are reasonably priced and quite tasty. This place is what it is: part bar, part restaurant. It's very casual but the food is upscale. This place doesn't look like much on the outside. The bar had some people there but we were the only ones in the dining room. With that being said, it was one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. He had the stuffed salmon and I had the cavatelli broccoli. Everything was made to order and delicious. This was the first time we called in here since the change of ownership and noting the chef / owner was Chinese, and it was Chinese New Year, thought we go for it. New Harvest is a great spot. My husband and I went on our first date here and just recently went back after a long hiatus. It's a bit of a dive, but the food and atmosphere are both great. They often have live music on the weekends, which is also a nice touch. The bar is usually packed. Our first time here - it was simply amazing. The panco fried shrimp as an appetizer is ridiculously good. We each had the special tonight which was a stuffed pork loin with spinach & ricotta. I have had many dishes from New Harvest, and all of them have been constantly good. My mother and her husband have enjoyed many dinners here, and I have never heard them complain. I will say I liked the old menu better than the one they have out right now, but have not yet had a meal I didn't enjoy. Portions are generous, good drinks and price is good. Best restaurant in beacon falls/Naugatuck area. I would however, skip on the paper table cloth on top of a perfectly good white linen table cloth. read more

Right of Rt. 8, exit then it's on the left about a mile. Hard to see so look for the sign. Doesn't look like much but go on in, the food's great. Beet salad and seafood chowder both great. Except for the soup, everything is made to order by owner/chef G. Leg of Lamb, 'Pork Chop' (at least 4" thick), Scallops over Risotto, pasta noodles with sausage and broccoli were all outstanding. Fried Oreos with ice cream and hot fudge - who woulda thunk! G has had this business for 3 years after a 15 year experience in US restaurants. Wow. We were in town for a tournament and were looking for something decent to eat. It was early evening and it had been a long day. Then we waited a long time just for drink orders. We had to ask for bread, and were told first that they didn't have any. When we pointed out the table across from us with bread they said they would check. They came out with one small plate of bread for 5 adults and 5 children. The food was fairly average (not awful, but not great or worth the wait). We were there for nearly two hours most of it waiting for food or tracking down the two wait staff and packing our food to go. read more

I cannot find a single bad thing to say about this joint. The customer service is absolutely fantastic and the owner is super personable. From the outside, it just looks like a little shanty restaurant but its nice inside. Friday nights are karaoke so its a great place to go make a fool of yourself. A nice restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The food was so-so. I think the owner has created a menu with too many options and I think he waits until you order to even start cooking anything. So, I'm sure it's freshly prepared. But you end up waiting a long time for your food. I ordered Wiener schnitzel with dumplings. I know this is an unfair comparison. But I've had this dish in Austria. The dish at New Harvest was a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this dish. I think the owner would be better served to focus the menu on a few GREAT dishes. The only complaint would be the paper that they have over the nice table cloths. In my mind, if your paying over $20 for an entree you shouldn't have paper on the tables when you can see perfectly good cloth table clothes under neath! All in all a very good meal. This is a poor example of a restaurant. We had called 30 days in advance to host a group of 25 folks When we got there only 1 waitress and the owner were present. Kind of strange. We arrived at 6:30 and were not served until 9:30. The food was subpar and in some cases smelt bad. I did not finish my dish and my wife did not even eat hers because the seafood tasted nasty. My partner and I had dinner tonite at New Harvest Restaurant in Beacon Falls. The food was excellent. I had the fish tacos as an appetizer. They were delicious. My partner had the Caesar salad which he really enjoyed. They had a special of a bottle of house wine for $17. We tried the Chardonnay, and thought it was very nice for the price. For our entries, I had the grilled scallops served on parmesan risotto. And he had the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both main dishes were excellent. All of the food was fresh and served nice and hot. This I small intimate restaurant, with excellent lighting and tasteful decor. On this Saturday night the bar was crowded and noisy with Uconn fans enjoying watching their team battle in the final four game. We were told that on a typical night the bar isn't quite as loud. The prices are Very reasonable considering the quality of the food being served. Appetizers were in the $8-$12 range, and entrees were $17-$22. Dinners included a choice from several soups and salads. The service by our waitress Nicole was perfect: friendly, efficient, and attentive...but not intrusive. Great job Nicole! Overall an excellent meal in a nice comfortable restaurant at a VERY fair price. It would rival dinners in we have enjoyed in Hartford, New Haven, or New York, at fraction of the price and nice and close to home. read more
