I was shocked to see the poor reviews on here for this place. We've ordered from here twice via Grubhub because my wife is a big fan of their coconut chicken, which is not something you see on a lot of local Chinese menus. Overall the food is solid. It tastes pretty much how you would expect from a Chinese takeout restaurant. They put more wontons in their soup than most places. I don't know that it's any better than similar establishments closer to me on the west shore, but it's not any worse, either. read more

We ordered from here for dinner tonight, but were thoroughly disappointed. After clearing up the unnecessarily complicated technical difficulties with our home address and their GPS, we ordered fried chicken wings, honey wings, steamed dumplings, cheese fries, and chicken and rice soup. It took 30 minutes for the food to be delivered and we live less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. The driver honked outside to indicate he was here, and then proceeded to knock on our neighbor's door when I clearly stated the house number and turned the porch and Christmas lights on. I went out to sign the check and retrieve the food, and the deliveryman impatiently held the bag in front of me while I was still signing, then turned away without a word and handed the neighbor a menu with a cheerful "Happy New Year!". Did I do something wrong? Fast forward to unboxing the meal, and everything smelled off-putting-- the dumplings especially (which were drenched in soy sauce that had opened and leaked in transit). I ate a single french fry and instantly regretted it... it was cold, hard, and most definitely old. My mother ate a plain fried wing and didn't mind it so much, but when she bit into the honey fried wing, it was break-your-teeth crunchy and tasted strange (for a more accurate, albeit colorful, description... like wet dog) and could not finish it. The steamed dumplings just smelled wrong and were completely soy-sauce-logged. And the chicken and rice soup was a let down, as it was more like canned Campbell's than comforting, homemade chicken and rice soup I've had elsewhere. In the end, we called to notify them of our experience and were told to deliver the remains of our meal to the restaurant in order to receive a refund. Ordered delivery to our hotel room. Took about 45 minutes to arrive. It was easy to notice there was no MSG in their food. Things were a little bland, but tasted good once the soya sauce was added. The egg rolls were not that good compared to others that we have eaten. Chicken chow main was ok, but the bean sprouts were over cooked. Sweet and sour chicken was good. There was not too much batter on them which is a fault that many other Chinese food places do. Chicken with broccoli was also good. I have tried this place twice and both times the food has been HORRIBLE!!! It is bland and flavorless. The wontons were overcooked and inedible. It is as though the cook is inexperienced...I could probably cook better Chinese food than this and I'm Puerto Rican!!! Save your money....go somewhere else. read more

First off person who answered phone to order was rude took order told me 35 45 mins hung up, i had to call back to finish order to get soup that came with it get told no out of. So i pick another before i say can i pay with card hung up on agian. Well almost hour later food shows up driver is rude starts howling and barking at my service dog and glareing at her. Tosses recept at me i try to point out extra charges just get told pay pay. Um why is 11.66 order all of a sudden 15.66 hidden fees i was not told about when i ordered. Told him i dont want food with extra fees im not paying fees i was not told about. He stares blankly. I pay hand him 66 cents he says no no money um ok hand him 20.66 he gives 66 cents back hands me 4.00 back. um no you owe me 9.00 and heres 66 cents. He drops it on floor tosses bag of food at me and rushes out door. I call place back few times no answer. Foods cold rice rock hard and soup i picked was wrong and watered down. I feel like i was robbed by there driver and gas fee hotel fee forced tip you dont tell anyone about till to late. Dont order from here is all i can say. read more

Even though I said, "Never again."... I did. Much better than last time. The food was hot and crispy (tee hee, see my first review). The General Tso's was tasty, the Mai Fun was good, the steamed dumplings were great. We'll probably order from here again; why is there such a dearth of good Chinese takeout restaurants in Harrisburg? read more

A bonus star because they deliver to the Freightliner dealer! Hubster ordered his standard "roast pork lo mein, no vegetables". When asked, "how is it?", the answer was, "pretty good, but the pork is a little weird." Strange flavor and texture was all I could get. Not too helpful, but, there ya go. I ordered the pu pu (poo poo more like it) platter and 2 orders of steamed dumplings. Their assorted appetizer selection is extensive...3 chicken wings, 2 bbq ribs, 2 skewers of meat, 2 crab Rangoon, 2 shrimp toast, 2 spring rolls, and 2 fried shrimp. Great variety. Rangoons were sweet, almost dessert-like. The Spring rolls were delicious. The ribs and skewers were dreadfully over-cooked, almost leathery. The fried shrimp and shrimp toast were also over cooked. The steamed dumplings, however, were some of the best I have had in a long time! I was really surprised!. They do stick together, but if you can peel them apart, yummie! I'm glad I got 2 orders! Don't want to be at a dealership getting work done, but, if I had to be, I'm glad it is this one, because I would definitely get these steamed dumplings again! read more

They charged our card 3 times with different amounts totaling over $200. Now they aren't answering the phone.... it's been 2 hours. GPS says we are 7 minutes away! read more

I actually enjoy the food here and even though it is a bit on the expensive side I think it's worth the price in comparison to the average American Chinese restaurant. The delivery service was on time from what they said over the phone and it took less then five minutes to order over $30 worth of food (again, it is expensive so it is decidedly less then what you would get elsewhere) but when you have quality of good food over quantity of terrible food then it works out. YUCK and double YUCK. I wish there was a 0 star option. So much for supporting the "locals" if you can call this joint local. We tried one more time to try this place, because I THOUGHT they had good fried honey wings. I was WRONG. First of all, they are literally right down the street, and they acted confused when my daughter gave them our address. After much difficulty and confusion she placed the 28 dollar order, for fried wings, honey wings, a side of sweet and sour sauce, steamed dumplings, cheese fries, and chicken rice soup. The delivery guy went to our neighbors and banged on their door after honking rudely out front. The food smelled like a wet dog and tasted like it too. The wings were the WORST after one bite I spit it out. The fries were cold and congealed, the soup looked like pee and tasted greasy and canned. The dumplings soggy and wet, we didn't even try them. I called to tell them the food was simply inedible. After being passed off to several people and the one person says the best they can do is another order of wings. I'm like "heck no" I want my money back!! She says that I'll have to bring the food back for a refund but indicated not a full one. I pulled my boots on and purposely strode into the gross smelly restaurant and plunked the bag down. It felt like a zombie apolocolypse as the deserted place was hellish looking and reeked of gas. They took their time coming over to me, a woman who took the items out for inspection, called the cook guy over who looked at me blankly and I said "the food is BAD, no good" thankfully she refunded the order and I walked out. The food was good, but the service is awful. I tried delivery three times and the orders all took over an hour to arrive. I had two delivery drivers: one was completely lost (I watched him literally running by my house) and the other (who delivered twice) called from the Street and told me to come out to the car. After that I began picking up. I placed an order online for a specific time. They called me repeatedly to come pick it up two hours before it was scheduled. read more
