I am new to carlisle and in search for good chinese food. I think I found my spot! Asian cafe has the best chicken wings at a reasonable price. Their whole menu is at reasonable price. Their menu has a large variety to choose from. Even thai food! I was even more excited to see they have cheesesteak egg rolls

Grabbed take-out for my gf's birthday from here and was blown away. I walked into the restaurant not knowing what to expect. A new restaurant is always an unknown territory, after all. The food was ready when I got there: 2 appetizers, and 3 meals all out in a big paper bag all done in 20 minutes. On the drive home, the delicious smells coming from the bag made me feel like I was driving a car full of flavor and I was happy to be a part of it. When I got home me and the birthday gal were salivating over everything. Egg roll cheesesteak, chicken rice soup, sweet and sour chicken, beef fried rice, and house special mei fun; and we chowed down. This was all done on the 4th of July. Asian Cafe is definitely on the top of my list now, and I can't wait to go again!

I'm very impressed with this restaurant. Ordered the chicken broccoli over the phone and it was ready within minutes of me picking it up. Had never been there before and found it just by looking up Chinese restaurants in the area that were on the way home. Though I only wanted take out, it looked like there is no area to sit down to eat ( maybe just at this time during the Covid pandemic that is lingering). In any case, they have one of the best system setups to be safe from Covid. There is complete plexiglass shielding from ceiling to floor between the order/cooking area and customer area. They have a drop pipe to give them payment and double plexiglass mini doors are used to provide you with your order. Excellent caution system. It looked more secure than a bank. The employee was friendly too and the one meal was enough for two of us. The food was savory and perfect. The only one negative aspect of this place is the outside from the parking area doesn't look very appealing ( kind of very bla and plain, almost as if they are closed up). Also the waiting area isn't very welcoming. But aside from that, kudos to their staff, owner and manager!

Ordered House Lo Mein, shrimp fried rice, boneless ribs and Szechuan String Beans. They didn't even deliver the lo mein. Instead they brought spare ribs. The order was over $40. The worst shrimp fried rice in my life. And I order Chinese food at least once a week elsewhere. Tried this restaurant out of desperation. Next time, I'll just starve.

This place is awful. Not real Chinese food. I ended up getting food poisoning from eating their chicken.

This evening we went to another location but were so put off by the hole-in-the-wall appearance and the unfriendly person behind the Plexiglas window -- not to mention the circle what you want on the menu and slide it underneath to her -- that we went to Great Wall which we intended to be the second restaurant we tried. Anyway, the wait was about 20 minutes from when we placed our order and we got take-out orders of Hong Kong Chicken and "kum po" which is what's on the menu. These were both combination meals that included pork egg rolls and pork friend rice. We had no complaints about the food -- it was hot and tasted great. I thought it was more oily than most Chinese food but otherwise fine. I had also requested the Kung Pao be extra-extra spicy but there was very little heat. The Hong King Chicken had pineapple, peppers, onions, broccoli and chillies in a ginger sauce and was great. I ate my entire meal; my other half was stuffed after eating half. Good food, reasonable price, reasonably quick service, and we really appreciated how friendly the person was at the counter -- she waved and welcomed us in when we arrived -- versus the grumpy looking person who ignored us at the other place.

So after all these years I finally came back to Carlisle just so I could have that dish again. The ramen with the savory meat, the crisp veggies, the creamy avocado, and crunchy peanuts make for a perfect bowl of ramen! Plus, their milk teas are also great! The staff here is friendly and the restaurant itself is set up nice! I love Issei Noodle, and I hope I don't have to wait another 8 years to go back!

Total came out to approximately $43 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Pretty good. There's something for everyone, possibly even vegans. I'm uncertain whether they have vegetable broth, but they have options that are vegetarian. There's pho, ramen, rice, curry, meats, and tofu. - Quality. Pretty good. The chicken karage was not overly breaded, crispy, had a nice flavor. Lt was not overly salty and served warm. My tofu miso ramen was not overly seasoned, which I appreciate. One of my pet peeves is when noodle soups are too salty, because it detracts from what the natural flavor should be. My miso ramen had a nice seasoning. My husband really enjoyed his red curry. He said it had a slight kick of spiciness with a slight taste of sweetness from the coconut milk. - Portions. Pretty decent size portions to get you full, not stuffed. Good value for money. - Location. Centrally located in downtown around other shops and restaurants. What's not - Service. Among the 4 in our group, 3 of us had something wrong with our orders. My ramen arrived with no tofu. When our friends received their orders, it was completely wrong (I.e., they were given someone else's order). There were also mistakes in the dishes they actually ordered. Given all the errors, everything was delayed and took longer, which was frustrating. - Payment. You're expected to pay your tab before actual service, which includes tips, as well. Hubby and I aren't fans of that, especially given all the mistakes that our group encountered. - Parking. Since it's downtown, it's mostly timed and metered parking in the area. - Time. They close at 8pm. Our group was the last ones in the restaurant, which surprised us. As such, I asked their staff what time they close. When they responded 8pm, I asked them if our group should leave. The staffers told me that my group was ok, which we appreciated. However, we didn't stick around. Just be prepared that this is not a place you can continue to hang out in. Final answer Willing to return, but not a first choice.

The restaurant is small with some communal tables. Parking in downtown Carlisle can be challenging. Be sure to check the hours.
