They poorly packed my stuff into my two storage units. Some things broke or were smooshed. They stole extra $40 from me and gave me a poor lie for why they did it. They had to send me a $40 check after I called them out on it. Their boss wouldn't believe me and defended them, almost to the point of scolding me for accusing them of stealing... only for their lead mover to apologize to me with a weak ass lie. Edited to elaborate, since Susan continues to be in disbelief and refuses to think it's possible her employees would do such a thing and to make all of you potential customers aware of my experience: I counted out my cash out loud maybe 3x. The lead mover saw that I had multiple $20 bills amounting to hundreds of dollars. I laid some of the $20s in piles on my vehicle dashboard and counted out the cash to the amount that I owed, rounded to the nearest $20. When I gave him the money to count, he gave a fake sigh and shook his head and said I was $40 short. I didn't believe him and asked him to count again. He said I owed $40 more. So, I gave it, but I felt lied to. After that, I still tipped them smh. I shouldn't have. He left and I recounted all my money. Now I was short $40, meaning if we subtracted what I owed to them from what I withdrew from the ATM and also subtracted the tip, I should not be missing extra $40. I did the math multiple times and brought it up to Susan and the company. They accused me of lying and trying to steal from THEM. Susan said "it's only $40! I'll just send you a check. It's only $40." (Mover's name here) later texted me and apologized and said he got confused. He said when he counted the money, he set the $40 aside in his sock because it was tip. That's why he asked for $40 more. That doesn't make sense? When he counted the money in front of me, he never put any money in his sock. He just counted the money and looked me dead in the eyes and said I owed $40 more. I also didn't include tip until AFTER he said I owed $40 more and we settled what I owed first. Susan, the reason why I didn't pick up when you called today (8/10/26) is because you showed me months ago that you are argumentative and not interested in listening to me or believing me. I already know you're gonna argue like before and probably pressure me to take my review down. I took months to post this review because I knew you'd do this, call me and claim I'm lying or have your business confused with another. But if you thought that, if you truly couldn't find me in your data base, then why did you call me just now? Looks like I was in your data base after all.

So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!

They kept me informed throughout the process and were extremely trustworthy and personable, especially when I had to run out of the house to handle something leaving them alone and when I ended up having more items than originally planned for the move. I am extremely happy with the results and will definitely be using and recommending them to friends and family in the future. Thank you Carlos and Jonathan for your help! Overall, my move was a little over $800 (took about 5 hours with 2 movers for a local move from a 3-story townhome to a 2-story condo ) and I gave a generous tip considering the amount of work they did. Services: Furniture disassembly and reassembly, small furniture moving, wrapping pictures, mirrors and frames, moving storage boxes.

I reached out…read moreto a few places for quotes and Serena responded quickly with an estimate and a clearly explained breakdown. The estimate was in line with the other companies I reached out to but they were the only company that provided a time estimate, and that was really helpful for me to feel like I could truly get an idea of my likely final cost range (assuming I didn't add anything major to my moving list). Booking was easy and done entirely online and then via email and text message for confirmations. My movers were Luca and Alpha. The called about 40 minutes before the start time to let me know their ETA, which was actually about 10 minutes before the arrival window started so we were off to a great start. Moving day is always nerve-wracking and adding strangers into the mix can be unpredictable, but they both took the time to introduce themselves by name and were so polite, kind, and calm right off the bat that it was a huge relief. We did a quick walkthrough of the house and they asked for clarifications or more information at times, which was great because I felt like they were really listening and paying attention to my comments and concerns. Then the move itself was smooth and uneventful. I didn't have any concerns about my furniture because I saw them wrapping everything up securely. At one point, a screw came loose from one of my table legs. Alpha found me to ask if I knew about any issues with the legs on that table. I told him it was a second-hand table so I wasn't sure, but asked if it was a big issue. He said no, and that he could put the screw back in, but he wanted other make sure I knew it had happened. I know that's partially because they don't want to be blamed for something they didn't do, but I still appreciated that they called it to my attention right away so there weren't any issues or questions later, and that he was able to fix it for me. Once we got to the new place, they took the time to ask where I wanted specific furniture or boxes to go in my new place so that I wouldn't have to move it all to a different room later. They wrapped up just a little ahead of the estimated time and it was super convenient to pay with Venmo. All-in-all it was a great experience and I'd use them again if I'm moving in the area.

Several of my belongings never arrived,…read moreincluding my bicycle, several high priced electronic items, two large palm plants, and other personal items altogether worth several thousand dollars. Here is what matters. Building staff at my old apartment confirmed that my bicycle had been left on the loading dock, and they held it for me to pick up. Yet when I reported the missing items, RADA told me its crew said, with complete certainty, that nothing had been left behind. That was wrong, and I had a witness who could show it. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, the company dragged this out for months. It asked for documentation, then for surveillance footage, then for receipts and proof of ownership. It ultimately fell back on the position that without video it "cannot simply assume" its crew left anything behind, and that it "does not admit liability." A missing video doesn't turn a wrong statement into a right one. I replaced several of the missing items immediately, same models, and I kept the receipts and original packaging. I sent a final message laying out the full timeline. RADA never responded. This isn't about the money. It's about a company that was proven wrong on the one item we could verify, and still chose to deny, delay, and then go silent rather than take any ownership. If that's how they handle a bicycle with a witness, imagine your claim without one. If you're considering RADA Express Movers, I suggest you reconsider. Their flat out denial of any wrongdoing will leave you feeling helpless in the event that some of your items go missing too.

Moving day was made far easier with the best moving team, "Bay, Garcia and Nahun." We were so fortunate to have had their help and muscles. Bay's communication keeping the move on time was outstanding. Upon arriving at the "Public Storage" facility at Seven Corners in Virginia, my daughter and this patient moving team were welcomed by a serious issue not previously disclosed. The elevator was out of service, and the storage unit was on the third floor. The gentleman could have requested a reschedule right then, but no. The BoxStar Super Stars jumped into action. They moved my daughters one-bedroom apartment out of the storage unit and into their truck in record time, including a very heavy sleeper sofa, down three flight of stairs in a narrow stairwell. From the storage unit, they moved her belongings into her house, placing every piece of furniture with expert care. We estimated a three house move time and despite the elevator snafu, Bay, Garcia, and Nahun delivered on time. Working with BoxStar Movers was perfect. The whole BoxStar team is absolutely wonder, polite, kind, and so many great words to describe them. Thank you all.

The items were mainly consolidated into main areas, anticipating that it would make it easier for the moving crew to quickly pack and move the items to the trailer. They were here for over 9 hours, packed the truck half full vertically, but filled the 28 foot horizontally. This is something I would expect from college kids who have zero experience as you get charged every foot horizontally you take up in cross country moves. So now, not only are we out $2300 for these movers, we are out an extra 3k because they used twice the amount of space that was actually needed if they had done it correctly. Military and families and federal employees- go anywhere else. This was an absolute disaster.

Under Pat's guidance, both crews on Sunday and Monday respected our requirements for shoe coverings and masks. On the day of heavy furniture lifting and transport, shoe covers were not used for safety reasons, which we fully understood and respected. Pat also kept us informed of each day's arrival time, and the crew showed up right on the minute. In 40 years of military service and countless moves overseas and stateside, this has been the best moving experience I have had. Pat even made sure we knew which of Fort Meade's many entry gates to use, including the "jackpot gate" he's happy to tell you about. This is only the first leg of our cross-country journey, and we look forward to the same professional service at our destination. Teamwork, attention to detail, professionalism, timeliness, and cleanliness are just a few of the qualities Mr. Pat Patterson and his crew displayed. We had previously sent an email after your restoration guy visited and are still seeking a resolution, but unfortunately, we have yet to receive a response. The lack of communication and effort to address this matter is unacceptable. We have been incredibly patient throughout this ordeal. It's almost November now, and we were moved back onto the property in June. Since then, we have been without essential items and have had numerous broken items. In some cases, I have had to pay out of my own pocket to replace necessary items. We genuinely hope that this issue will be resolved and that we will receive compensation for the inconvenience and damage caused. If not, we plan to seek legal action. This experience has been one of the worst we have encountered, and it is completely unacceptable. We had hoped to support a veteran-owned company and were confident that we would be treated fairly, given our shared veteran status. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.
