I asked them to transport my daughter's bunk bed and her desk from our old townhouse to the new one. They took the bed apart first and put all the screws in one little bag, so nothing got lost. The desk drawers were wrapped, and they even asked which side of the room she wanted the desk on. When they put the bunk bed back together, they tightened every bolt. read more

Before the move, I figured taking my framed posters would be easy, but it turned out to need more attention than I thought. The movers brought soft covers for the frames and laid them flat so the glass wouldn't break. They arranged them inside the truck with enough space, so nothing touched or rubbed together. They loaded all the bulky, weird-shaped items like the lawnmower and power tools expertly into the back of the truck, maximizing every bit of space. I highly recommend these movers, especially for apartment dwellers. My building requires you to move out by 1 PM, which is a stressful deadline. James and his crew of three were already set up and working in just a few mins before their scheduled arrival. They cleared out my entire two-bedroom apartment, which was fully packed, in less than just a few hours. They did not scratch the walls or bump the elevator once. This was the worst experience I've ever had with movers. I would never recommend New Destiny Movers to anyone. They were very polite and responsive while we were searching for movers, but once our belongings were picked up and payment was made, everything changed. The original quote of $1,300 was increased to $2,000 due to extra fees that were never disclosed beforehand. After payment, they stopped responding to calls and everything went to voicemail. When we finally reached dispatch, the representative was rude and unprofessional. We were repeatedly told delivery would take 3-7 days, including when signing the contract. Instead, our belongings were delivered more than 15 days later, and they then claimed they were "legally allowed" up to 20 days. At delivery, they charged even more money, claiming the apartment was far from the truck, which was not true -- the truck could park right in front of the building, there was an elevator just a few steps away, and the apartment was right next to it. They also LOST two of my XL boxes and have not been responding to our calls about it. Extremely unprofessional. On top of that, they demanded full payment before unloading and pressured us to sign paperwork stating everything was received in perfect condition before we could even inspect our belongings. Several items were not in good condition. I've used multiple moving companies before and never had such a bad experience. This is by far the worst moving company I've dealt with. read more

I decided to shift my design studio to a shared workspace downtown, and I needed help moving 3D printers, filament spools, and a drafting table. The company I booked handled the printers with care, securing the knobs and packing them so they wouldn't shake during the ride. The table was taken apart neatly and reassembled once we arrived. They wiped their feet and wrapped the furniture in extra plastic. My cream-colored carpets were saved. They worked in the wet weather without a single complaint, just focusing on protecting our home. We relocated our backyard furniture set to our first home. It included a long outdoor table, six chairs, a grill, pots and some decorations. The movers cleaned the bottom of the grill tray so it wouldn't dirty other items during the move. They wrapped the table legs so they wouldn't scratch the truck. At our home, they lined the set on the patio exactly where we planned. One thing that slowed them a little was waiting for us to sweep the patio first, but they didn't complain. This moving company was absolutely terrible. To be clear the movers themselves were great but the business personnel and especially the owner Rebecca was awful. I had a long distance moved and decided to use New Destiny Van Lines because they were (a) a company and not a broker (b) a small woman owned firm. But the personnel working for the company made the move a lot more stressful. For the following reasons: 1. They did not quote me correctly. On the day of the move, the final price went up 50% which completely blew my budget. However, I had no choice because the move was time sensitive. I needed to move my stuff that day. I was also told that I would not be charged a long carry fee which, of course, that was a lie. I was also told that they would pack up and wrap my furniture. However, once the movers arrived they said that they do not pack/wrap furniture and that everything would fall on the customer. These were a few examples of several unpleasant surprises the day of the move. It was so botched that one of the personnel called me to apologize for not setting realistic expectations. 2. The owner is completely unprofessional. To be honest, unprofessional is an understatement. This woman has the manners of a toddler. Every time I was on the phone with her she screamed at me, cut me off, was not understanding, and blamed me for problems within her business. She does not have a good pulse on her business. Her employees would tell me one thing and she would say the complete opposite of the businesses policy. She also set protocol and guidelines that her employees did not follow. From my conversations with her, I understand why there is such a big disconnect. This woman lacks leadership skills, professionalism, and respect for her customers. 3. She tried to move my things on Easter. One of her driver texted me at 2 pm on Saturday saying they would deliver my stuff on Sunday (which is Easter in this scenario). Easter is an important religious holiday and I was not going to be home due to previous engagements. Additionally, the banks were closed Saturday evening and Sunday. I told her this and she again screamed at me for not being available. She was completely and totally unprofessional. NO customer should ever be treated like that by an owner. She has no respect. Overall, the movers themselves were great and we had minimal issues. But the salesperson and owner were deplorable. read more

I used New Destiny Van Lines for a long-distance move to Nashville, TN, and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience from start to finish. I provided them with a startup inventory of the items I needed to move and was instructed to reserve my building's freight elevator for 7 AM -- they didn't arrive until 9 AM. From the moment they showed up, the move felt rushed and disorganized. The person supposedly in charge clearly wasn't managing the team effectively, and I even witnessed one of the movers kicking my $2,000 sofa in an attempt to separate the pieces -- completely unacceptable and disrespectful. I also had an IKEA bed, which I've moved before without issue. This time, they made me sign a waiver saying they'd disassemble it but wouldn't be liable if anything went wrong. Not only did they completely destroy the bed, but they also lost the screws necessary to reassemble it. When I contacted customer service, I was told they had "offered me three options" -- but I was only ever presented with one, so that felt dishonest and dismissive. To make matters worse, the lead mover was clearly annoyed and short-tempered the entire time. He got into a heated argument with my building's concierge and kept trying to drag me into it by asking me to agree that the concierge was rude. It was wildly unprofessional and put me in a very uncomfortable position as a tenant still living there. Once in Nashville, I realized my TV was missing. When I called customer service, their first response was to blame me -- saying I should have updated my inventory (even though they use a sticker system that clearly isn't foolproof). Eventually, they claimed the TV has been shipped to me, but it's now been almost a month no update and no delivery. I texted them July 11 with no response. I called again July 14 and finally received a refund for the bed screws -- almost a month after the move -- but only because I called them about my TV. I was told I'd get an update soon regarding my TV, and unsurprisingly, no one has followed up. UPDATE: I got a call July 24 from the company asking if the driver had called me, so I told them no. So they told me that I would get a call in regards of my TV getting delivered. I let them know I had a work trip coming up, and they told me it should be delivered before then. Few days went by the driver called me and he told me he was going to get there July 27 and that I had to be waiting for him between 2-7pm and that since he was driving an 18 wheeler and my building wasn't accessible I would have drive somewhere and meet him to get the TV (which honestly after having to wait 6 weeks not acceptable, but also I wasn't going to be in town since I was leaving for my trip). After I told the driver that he called the company and said he was going to park and walk over to my building and deliver the TV and leave it with the concierge. Fast track I just got back from my trip and my TV is a complete LOST and DAMAGE, and now I have to file a claim with them. Honestly again this has been a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Bottom line: poor communication, careless handling of furniture, unprofessional behavior, and a complete lack of accountability. I would not recommend New Destiny Van Lines to anyone looking for a stress-free, reliable move. You deserve better than this. read more

New Destiny Van Lines LLC out of Dallas was hired to move me from Houston to Ocala, Fl Mach/April 2022 at a cost of about $15,000. Original price price quoted and paid was about 6,555. Move was in two pick-ups. First pick- up be knowing to me my items were taken to their warehouse in Dallas. Second pick-up with my items still in their position I was told sn additional 8,286 was needed. I was never given inventory sheets for second pickup or inventory sheets for delivery. Over 50% of my items disappeared and never arrived in Ocala. About $8,000 in items gone plus charged an additional for what? Company refuses liability. read more

The owners, managers...Petty, unprofessional and money hungry. The only positive experience was the actual movers that drove, wrapped, packed, loaded, delivered, unwrapped and set up my things. They were super hard working guys (except for the one delivery guy who wore flip flops and cut his foot and was bleeding. Not super hygienic. Poor guy) but why would you send him to do the job. The company should at least provide them with proper gear. As far as the company, the owner actually told the delivery guys to drive off with my things because I didn't have $75 that was being charged for walking. Even though Byron had actually used the Google Earth to see exactly where the drivers would park, etc. "NO HIDDEN SURPRISE FEES" ---MY ASS. I paid the company almost $1,500 up front so that there would not be any surprises and make it as smooth as possible and strategize my budget. I tipped the pick-ups guys $100 and company was cry over for $75. Byron, Gilbert, and Tom are only polite when you're signing over the contract and giving them their money. All of them yelled at me- I even recorded it (will upload later). Bryon literally told me "You'll get it when it gets there" and hung up the phone in my face after I complained about not having my things for over a month. I was reassured my things would arrive by a certain or date in California when I made the booking- when I called the day before my things were still in Dallas and they told me legally they had 21 days based on the contract. The CONTRACT THE CONTRACT THE CONTRACT. So basically don't believe anything they assure you or sell you prior to booking. "Yes we put 21 days because we have to, but we will make you sure you get it by the date". LIES. Totally doable. They could've sent my things like they said they would so that it would get here when they said it would. But instead, I had to call just so they can tell me that my shit was actually still in Dallas and would be another 21 days like I signed in the "CONTRACT". My stuff got here today (literally a month after it got picked up-- AND with additional fees- after telling them I was only going to pay what was confirmed to be the remaining balance based on the super clear arrangement,....all they did was talk over me as they RE-EXPLAIN the "CONTRACT" as if I'm stupid. Gilbert & Tom basically told the movers to LEAVE and take my stuff because I didn't have the $75 and would then charge an extra REDELIVERY FEE LOL! After everything they had already put me through. Paid a week at a hotel in Santa Barbara waiting for my furniture. Ended up paying over $2,000 extra due to their lack of communication, shitty customer service, and false advertising. I can almost GUARANTEE you if it was a MAN-- they wouldn't buck up like they did. BUT how dare A WOMAN speak UP about their incompetence. Never received an apology- they were so worried about having the last word and F the customer. So here you go gentlemen. UNPROFESSIONAL IDIOTS RUNNING DESTINY VAN LINES. MOVERS BE AWARE 30 DAY REVISION: Everything stayed in storage Sept. 2019...In Oct. 2019 NEW Destiny VAN LINE delivered my FURNITURE and house goods from storage. I was parked at the storage unit RIGHT BEHIND the moving truck. I took a picture of the guys reloading the truck, Jeff seemed offended.. Said he never had anyone sneaking pictures of his guys loading and unloading. My only REGRET, I didn't have a better camera and I didn't video the whole thing. I have some missing items, scratched and dented brand new (6 mo or less right out of the box) refrigerator, washer and dryer, a set of stack tables delivered upside down with the shipping tape still wrapped around the bare finish (tap pulls off finish) & scratched because it was placed on a bare wooden floor UPSIDE DOWN. Instead of dismantling the bed rails, they moved them still assembled, bent the rails. One set was savaged, but not the other. WHEN I contacted Jeff at NEW Destiny Van Line, he said he needs a date and time stamp on my pictures. Unfortunately, my older camera doesn't have that capability. THEN he SIMPLY SAID WHY I WAITED 30 DAYS... HECK, it takes most people that long and LONGER to unpack a whole house. For the broken things, he said we didn't pack that... OK, cool. He did say that prior to me obtaining his moving SERVICES; so I've have to eat the cost of cracked and damaged CHINA and other breakables. I will have to live with, If I saved by packing myself ... But the rest, it's all on NDVL. I'm stating facts...MOVERS BE WARE!! Aug. 2019 NDVL.... Jeff is awesome to work with and professional. (I have to admit I gave them 4stars in the beginning. I moved out of one location to storage. Now, I'm moving from storage to a new location. I bet I've call 10 to15 times changing moving dates. All Jeff ever says is "We got you." We've had a really good experience with New Destiny Van Lines for our move from Dallas, TX to Irvine, CA. We took the full packing and moving service, and the crew went above and beyond to make this move as stress free as possible. Jeff was great in setting up the whole package for us. It was followed by an in-home assessment. I received a quote based on the inventory that was assessed in-home. I did quite my share of shopping around, and the prices were hard to beat! The professional and a welcoming experience also made this an easy decision for me. The crew arrived early in the morning on the move day. We went through the various rooms and provided instructions on the specifics. The crew really didn't need instructions repeated - they got all of it right the first time! The team was even able to coordinate and adjust their logistics to pack and load my stuff directly into the truck that would go to my destination (avoided intermediate load/unloading - good for your furniture!). The driver was great - called me a couple of days before and let me know his arrival window. He even gave me tips on how to save curb space for the long truck to park when he arrives to quicken the unloading process. The unloading crew was amazing as well. Took really good care of assembling our furniture and ensured nothing was left behind. Overall they made our move a really good experience, more importantly a stress-free one. read more

Friends, save yourself the trouble! I wish someone was there to write an honest review about this company before we booked them. There were several other options that were a little higher in price, but now I wish we had went with them. New Destiny Van lines makes it seem that they're a great, professional company. They kept repeating to us, "We want to make this the best move ever!" Well, I can assure you, this was the worst experience ever. We moved from Texas to Kentucky. We were told that they have 14 days to deliver our stuff on time, but it "rarely takes them this long." Sam, the man we were talking to, made it seem like they would be able to deliver our stuff in Kentucky within a few days because they "strive for the fastest service possible!" And "they're early birds!" Well, they took the whole 14 days before delivering our stuff. We were irritated, but let it go since we agreed to that in the contract. However, they lost several things/boxes in our move. We just had those things delivered today- a full MONTH after we moved. We moved July 21st and received the remainder of our [lost] boxes today- August 21st. Not to mention, they delivered these lost boxes in horrible condition. Tape was falling off and items were literally falling out of the boxes. It looked like the movers carelessly tossed our stuff around. Our $1000 couch was broken in the move as well. The frame in the back looks like it was somehow busted. I also had a set of pots/pans that I paid over $500 for that have been broken. This was a high quality set that my husband got me as a Christmas gift. Several handles were completely ripped off. It's very upsetting that we paid thousands of dollars to this company and have had to deal with this many problems. The movers have refused to accept responsibility for these terrible things and instead just sent us a $50 check for "the inconvenience." $50 does not cover the damage that this company has done. I'm normally not one to complain, but this company was terrible and I would hate for someone to go through what we did when moving across the country. If they don't make this right by covering the cost of a replacement couch, then we will be contacting the Federal Motor Carrier Association to report this company. read more

Several of my expensive items didn't make the journey from Texas to California. A couch, a collection of Bowie knives and 3 Yeti ice chests. Kenny told me my sister gave the ice chests to the movers and that was a flat out lie. If not for the pictures taken I'm sure I wouldn't have had any chance of getting any of my stuff back. I did recover 2 of the 3 ice chests. Didn't have a picture with the 3rd ice chest so no mystery why it didn't show up. A leather couch with 2 electric recliners appeared a month after we were told it didn't exist. Kenny actually told me there was no couch and then a month later I'm treated like the bad guy because I'm not happy with his company. My extensive Bowie knife collection was all boxed up so no pics were taken so it is till in the wind. Do yourself a huge favor and don't use this company. Way too many movers out there to get taken advantage of. I learned this lesson the hard way. read more

I moved from Texas to NJ. There are a few things I want to warn others who are considering using this company for long distance moves. 1) Their sales person did not disclose alot of other extra charges for moving long distance until the movers got to my apartment. Also, they did not send anyone to do a walk thru of my things which should have been a warning sign in the beginning. 2) Also, their long distance delivery is pretty bad. If I put the delivery date as May 1, I expect my things to be delivered on this date. Sadly the sales person promised my things will be delivered on this date but my things arrived two weeks later. 2 weeks later! Thankfully, I was able to borrow air mattresses and other necessities from friends in the area to get by. But it is so ridiculous that this moving company did not plan ahead to have my things delivered on time. Imagine if I did not have friends in the area then what was I suppose to do? 3) I would not recommend this company for long distance moving. They overpromised and woefully underdelivered.
