HG Flooring

My husband and I are 100% satisfied with HG Flooring. Here is why:…read more 1. Responsiveness - They came out quickly to do the estimate. They answered all texts and emails in a timely manner. 2. Patience - They answered all questions and explained the process to us. They were in no rush to finish the job. Their concern was doing it well. 3. Professional - This company showed up on time every day. They all appeared to enjoy their job as they smiled, laughed.....and I could hear them downstairs happily singing and enjoying each other's company. The employees were kind and explained every step to us. 4. Timeliness - Never late. In fact, they were always a little early. 5. Affordable - This is NOT a cheap process. Keep in mind that there is a lot of labor involved in refinishing a floor. It takes a hours to complete. And when you have the caliber of employees that they have, you've got to pay them well to keep them. And these guys are worth keeping. So no, it is not a cheap job. But I feel like I got more than my money's worth. I could go on and on about how much I recommend this company. Two of my neighbors inquired about their work. I told them I will let them check it out, so hopefully they will get even more business in my area. They deserve it.

Not only was HG flooring a great price, but their team did an excellent job with installation. We also had them repair/replace a section in our kitchen that had some water damage, and you cannot even see where they installed the new flooring. Everyone on the team was courteous, and highly skilled. I cannot say enough good things to say about them. I will certainly use them again for any future jobs.

Maryland Carpet & Tile

Had an excellent experience with two projects. Initially, we only needed carpet, but then we…read morerealized we would also need to demo/re-pour a bad self-leveling concrete install (by our contractor). Separate teams handled the projects, and both were excellent. Big shout out to Jacob for coordinating everything, and to Alen for his outstanding help on correcting our subfloor. Alen and team removed over 1000 lbs of dust, kept it clean, prepared the floor and sealed some cracks, and the final result was exactly what we needed for our gym flooring - flat, strong, and clean. Then the carpet installers came and knocked out the remainder of our basement, and did an amazing job on the transition from carpet to gym flooring. The carpet was spotless and the seams were practically invisible. Can't recommend Maryland Carpet & Tile enough! They were friendly, accommodating, and the prices were very reasonable.

Everything started out smoothly. Jacob arrived to my house and we discussed the project we wanted…read moredone. Replace laminate flooring with carpet for the majority of our basement. Carpet was supposed to go all the way to the pillar shown in the picture. Jacob explained that due to where the laminate was installed, they were able to get very close to the pillar, roughly 1 inch away. We agreed to this and a quote was received and approved. When the installers arrived, I explained to them everything as I explained to Jacob, including installation up to the pillar. They asked if they were doing the stairs too, and I said no. This should have been the first red flag of miscommunication. When the work was done, I noticed that the carpet did not reach the pillar as we have discussed. It was roughly 2 vinyl planks away (over a foot away!). The installers told them Jacob only told them 17ft installation, not to the pillar. Which was odd, since I specifically told the installers that it should have gone up to the pillar. If there were some confusion, why did they not ask me about it? At this point, it was too late to fix. Jacob arrived and confirmed it as supposed to go the pillar, and further confirmed that it was too late to do anything. By failing to remove all the vinyl planks up towards the pillar, this also caused the end of the carpet to not be able to be tucked under the laminate. Now there is an area of the carpet that sticks out as well, also shown in the picture. Finally, our basement has a step down area. By removing the laminate, it exposed a gap in my baseboard. I would have hoped that the installers would have asked us how to proceed, rather than just ignoring it and proceeding. So now I have more imperfections due to the carpet installation. At the end of the day, the carpet was mostly installed as we requested. Just wished that the communication would have been better. Now I am stuck with imperfections in my basement. The ironic part is, the leftover roll of carpet they provided me would have been enough to cover the area they failed to install.

My wife and I have hired Renaissance Floor and Carpet for three projects over the past few years:…read morecarpet installation on the stairwells and upper floor, hardwood flooring installation on the main level and waterproof vinyl in the basement. Overall, we are very happy with the quality of the work and the customer service provided by Amir. The carpet and waterproof vinyl installations both went smoothly. The crew worked efficiently and finished the jobs in a couple of days. The hardwood flooring project took a frustrating turn, but Amir ultimately resolved it to our satisfaction. The crew installed the hardwood in summer 2023 and shortly afterwards much of it shrunk and developed creaking. After a lot of back and forth with Amir and the manufacturer, Renaissance replaced the problem areas. My wife and I appreciated Amir's professionalism and integrity. Our townhouse's flooring is now so beautiful thanks to Renaissance!

INCREDIBLE WORK AND STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I cannot say…read moreenough good things about Aaron, the owner of AG Construction, and his entire crew. Aaron is attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He called me back almost immediately and was at my house the very next day. I received several other quotes, and AG Construction came in with the lowest bid--but what really sold me was that Aaron also had the best visit. He took the time to listen and discuss what I wanted. He never tried to upsell me. He was respectful, honest, and immediately put me at ease. His communication throughout the entire process was outstanding, and there were absolutely no surprises. The hardwood floors in my kitchen, dining room, and living room had not been touched in more than 15 years. With kids, pets, heavy traffic, spills, and everyday wear and tear, they were definitely showing their age. With Aaron and his crew's guidance, I chose a lighter stain that truly brightened the rooms, and the finished floors look incredible. His crew arrived on time, sanded and refinished the existing hardwood and did a beautiful job. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the new shoe molding was a great finishing touch. I was also extremely impressed with the care Aaron and his crew took to protect my home. They did extensive prep work to contain the dust, carefully blocked off the work areas, and used equipment designed to collect as much dust as possible. Before applying the final finish, they thoroughly cleaned everything, and when the job was complete, the crew did a great job cleaning up all the trash and debris. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Aaron's customer service is truly unmatched. He was responsive, punctual, transparent, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the result. He and his crew delivered great work at a great price, and the entire experience was far better than I expected. If you're considering having hardwood floors installed, sanded, or refinished, I would highly recommend Aaron and AG Construction. It is rare to find someone who combines excellent craftsmanship, fair pricing, honest advice, and genuinely great customer service--but Aaron does it all.

Did not level the subfloor prior to installing the LVP. Over time, the LVP hás molded to the imperfections in the plywood sub-flooring. 5. LVP transition broke because threshold was not supported from underneath. The house is old and that was the excuse used at every obstacle. Maybe he's better with perfect scenarios not older homes.
