We contacted and requested quotes from several companies in the deck build/remodel business, and ultimately selected Montgomery decks. Constantine and Tudor provided the most professional and comprehensive proposal, without any inflated costs or unnecessary premiums, suggested aesthetic enhancements to the design that resulted in a more attractive deck layout, and provided reasonable financing options. Once the permits were obtained and the necessary deck supplies and composite materials were delivered, the Montgomery crew went to work immediately on the demolition of our old 2-tier deck, and the build of the new single-tier expanded deck which was completed within approximately one week! The crew was professional and courteous, kept us apprised of their progress throughout the entire process, and ensured that all of the necessary build work was completed down to every detail, including coordinating the inspections with the county. We feel very fortunate that we came across Mtgy Decks, couldn't be happier with the product or the experience. Out of 8 cos we asked for proposals, they were the most responsive and professional BY FAR. Their lead man came to see the property, took measurements AND drew diagrams. That evening we received a detailed proposal that included 4 CAD drawings of the proposed deck - NO ONE else did that! The others submitted estimates via text or email with total dollars, sometimes broken out into materials and labor. MD's cost was in the middle of the others, so we accepted immediately. They returned in 2 days to talk materials [we wanted Trex for low/no maintenance], colors, designs, final details. Within days the materials appeared in our driveway and work began. Our deck was finished a week later. The project mgr kept us informed all the way - no work today bc of rain, delay bc of materials on order, etc. - which I appreciated, having been involved in govt. contracting previously. Montgomery Decks was so good we've asked them to repair/replace the 2nd floor deck on our rental townhouse; we had 2 other estimates that were less than inspiring. After many experiences dealing with contractors who don't show up, show up late with excuses, and generally behave erratically, it was a PLEASURE to work with such professional people. Tudor and his team were great. We had Montgomery Decks completely take down our old wood deck and replace it with Trex composite decking. We had another contractor fall through and Tudor was able to come out and give an estimate soon after I contacted him. They were the most reasonably priced and I felt really good about him and the company after our initial meeting. They were able to handle everything with the permits required by our city government and our HOA was incredibly impressed with the 3D renderings of our what our deck would look like. As soon as we got the permits issued from the city they were able to start and the final deck looks amazing! There was a small issue with a screw sticking out after it was done and Tudor came out personally and fixed it himself. Overall, highly recommend! read more

Tudor and his team are the best!!!! I recently brought home with no deck and really wanted a deck. Shopped around for quotes for deck contractors and the original one I was going to go with involved a whole long process since they didn't specialize in new decks and the other ones were extremely high and had a wait list. Montgomery Decks was the last contractor I was looking at and nearly canceled my consultation because I forgot. Once I met with Tudor I instantly felt he was genuine and serious about his business. Additionally, Montgomery Decks does price matching and complimentary lights for deck. Only was concerned about timeline but he gave me a general timeline. Once I signed the contract, the PM, Constantin came by to discuss timeline and initial measurements, biggest hurdle starting was getting permits. I ended up getting permits a month later, much faster than other contractors said they could do. The week after they began my composite deck and finished that week. Tudor followed through on his word with the solar lights which are nice. Recently, I noticed caulking on the deck and Tudor had no problem coming out the next day to fix it even though I had already had the deck for a month or so. 10/10 recommend Montgomery Decks.
