Just as bad as I remember it as being! 10+ years ago my family and I would eat here. hungry and passing through I decided to stop by. The sushi is 4/10. There is the choice of something like 8 rolls. All of which are mostly rice. The seafood or other food easily packed with preservatives looks better. The only reason I could see someone coming here is (a) they're down to their last $15 and need to eat as much food as possible (b) they are driving through Macon and need something cheap to eat. It is your stereotypical side of the interstate buffet which only offers low quality food for a relatively cheap price. 10/10 would not recommend...I came here because I was hungry after a long drive and wanted to see if it was as bad as I remembered!

Lunch with one of my besties. For the most part the food was fresh but there were some items which seemed old and refried. The waitress was very attentive.

I love this place. I am never disappointed with the selection or the freshness.

I always enjoy this restaurant. I came here today and on Thanksgiving. I always have the sushi and octopus. I also sample a little of everything else that appeals to my taste buds. It's best to come when they are busy, because the food is constantly turning over. Today I arrived at 11:30am, and the freshness and choices were satisfactory. I recommend

After eating at number of "Hibachi Grill(HG)" style buffets, there very much like many fast food franchises, predictable. You know the usual items will be; salmon, black pepper chicken, fried shrimp or ice cream for the end. So the big differencs are the cooks on the Hibachi Grill, freshness of the items on buffet stations and the servers. This buffet suffered in two of three. First the cook on the grill was not as good as other HG cook. Very uncaring about presentation, he just create slop instead of stir fry. Second, buffet items like fried chicken looked old, pizza was soggy, crab legs small and no crawfish. Servers were okay but appeared to be angry or sound as if they were complaining in another language. Bottom-line: New China is just ok but I had better HGs in GA.

It's hard to decide what you want to eat these days when you have a taste for nothing but know you…read moregotta eat so I always choose to fix a variety plate off the bar. They had some good choices. The saw shee I don't need but they are always delicious just to put that out there. So I've been seeing these skins when I come. No I have never thought to try them. I got 2 plain ones off the bar as I would inquire about the bags of BBQ at the front upon leaving. The nice young lady said they were brought this morning. I believe that, but my problem is I don't feel they were freshly cooked skins. Both skins the plain on the bar and the bbq which I purchased upon leaving were chewy as hell. The BBQ seasoning was so good. But I can't get down with stale skins. I need some crunch. My dad was one of the best pitmasters there was. I know when the skin came off that hog and it wasn't crisp to throw it in the oven. It crisp right on up for a skin sammich. But you might be lucky and catch some on a good day so I won't say don't try them but for me this was my one time experience. One & Done!

The fried prawn appetizer was incredible. The price was lower than I expected. Very reasonably priced. If you want Chinese food in Macon, you must give this a try. My family and I decided to order to go this time and we were so displeased. The egg fu yung was full of more onions than egg, the shrimp fried rice had WAY less shrimp than previous ones and the combination platter was disappointing. Due to improper packaging, the prawns and egg rolls were soggy from the teriyaki sauce that was for another appetizer. I forgot the name of the young man I spoke with when I called (2/21 @ 6:06pm), but he was rude and condescending. I no longer live in Macon but my family and friends do. I have and will continue to share this negative experience with them. Getting bad food is understandable, maybe it was an off day. I did not call to request a refund, I was merely calling to express concern. Being rude and nonchalant is not the way to retain customers. Do better Mandarin Garden!

It was one of the 3 days of graduation so it was an understandable wait. My party was of 3 so we did hibachi with 2 more parties and enjoyed it. Waited about 15 mins to be seated and it seemed there was 2 servers and 1 chef. The menu they give you is outdated and doesn't reflect their website menu, they do have everything on their website but weird they don't show it. Server was all over and not super attentive but got the job done enough. Chef was friendly. The food was average the salad didn't have the classic ginger dressing which was weird and for the classic fried rice everything was uncharged. At the end we ended up having to grab our own boxes and had to ask 4 separate times for to go sauces.
