Dude. Listen I know you can't expect much from a buffet but this place is the definition of ass. Went for dinner expecting food to be fresh and hot. Well it wasn't, quite the opposite actually. Sorry folks I don't like making negative reviews but if you order take out I urge you to check your order. I ordered cashew chicken it was not what I have had in the past. It very much Looked liked sweet and sour chicken with a garlic sauce and a few cashews sprinkled on top. Fried rice was greasy and not enough rice for the amount of food they prepared. For many that have read my reviews I have never actually written a negative review, well not like this. This was a terrible 'never ever going back' experience. When you arrive 2hrs before closing you don't expect the entire buffet offering to be empty or if the tray had food, COLD. The Hibachi bar was closed down already (Again 7pm) and the traditional steamed salmon looked like the picked clean fish Santiago brought back to port in the Old Man and The Sea. The true impossible feature was the environment. When you go to a buffet style restaurant it is required that certain health precautions take place. Children (Not going to debate what constitutes a child but in this discussion its younger than 6) should not be permitted to run free and wild through the restaurant screaming and grabbing food, BY HAND, from the buffet bar. The staff who collectively appear to have a bare minimum english vocabulary rely on translation from the 16ish year old son who apologized for the disturbances but said they wouldn't say anything as to not upset or offend a customer. What about us??? That problem wont be lasting as I will never spend a dime in their establishment. If I wanted to eat at Chuck E Cheese I would've gone there and to be told that it was OK for the kids to grab food unaccompanied was wrong. I hope a member of the health department sees these little monsters licking their fingers as they attempt to scoop ice cream (4 of the 6 ice cream containers were empty to keep with the two hours before closing theme). This was awful, it was a terrible example of how a restaurant should be run and handled for customers to feel welcome. My feelings about Chinese buffets are well documented throughout my small library of reviews. I always give them benefit of the doubt because there is very little difference between them. But I love them so I continue to go... I just really didnt enjoy my meal here. Think if I showed up 30 minutes later than I did, they may have squeezed a 2nd star out of me since I did arrive as they were transitioning to dinner, but it wasnt meant to be. Great place. Great selection of foods and desserts. The staff is fast and kind. The lunch prices are hard to beat! You can dine in or fill your to go box to the rim and take it home (as long as the top closes, you're good). The dine in areas are spacious and clean. The food is delicious, but you definitely don't need to add salt or soy sauce to anything. It's full of salt. You can TASTE the sodium lol but some people like that. After finding a cockroach crawling on the sushi at our favorite Chinese buffet off of McCain, we were on the hunt for a new one. Qualifications were that it had to have sushi, hibachi grill and a generous dessert bar. I think we found our new favorite. Yay! When we walked in, we were seated immediately and our drink order was taken. The room was scorching hot for a Summer day but they promptly turned the ceiling fans on for us. And then the hunt began. I was amazed at how extensive the selection was. I, of course, started with the hibachi grill which gave me two options: garlic and "house special". If you like your hibachi a bit spicy, go with the house special. They offered pork, chicken, shrimp, steak, red and purple onions, fresh eggs, lo mein noodles, cucumber and other assorted vegetables. Tips are accepted. The sushi bar looked fantastic as well. There were 7 different kinds available, a few with crab and cream cheese (my favorite). I also scooped up some "spicy shrimp" from the buffet area and had to go in for seconds. Amazing. I'd skip the sesame chicken. The chicken was chewy and it tasted awful. They offer 6 different kinds of beer too. (Bud Light, Miller Lite, Budweiser, Heineken, Tsang Tso and Michelob Ultra". Price was reasonable for so much food and a clean atmosphere to eat it in. I've been here about a dozen times, and the food is fairly typical of a Chinese buffet. They have the standard fare of stir-fry dishes, egg-rolls, salad bar, deserts, and American dishes. They do seem to have a bit less variety in their Asian dishes that other places I've visited, but everyone should be able to find something to their liking. I don't care much for their stir-fry dishes with chicken, as the chicken always seems to be slimy and mushy. I do like their vegetables dishes. They also have a Mongolian-style grill in the back where you can get food cooked to order. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, and the price is reasonable. It's not my favorite place to eat, but I do enjoy eating here once in a while when I get a craving for a Chinese buffet. read more

I am a big fan of asian style cooking but when I ate the food here, I was extremely disappointed. When my party and I were waiting to be seated a 10-12 year old boy came up to us and showed us to our seats. He proceeds to ask us for our drinks. I don't really have a problem with this but still , why is there a child working here??! After that we go and get our food from the buffet line. Most of the food being served was NOT labeled. The food looked very messy and looked like it had been sitting there for several hours. Once we got the food that we were willing to try, the food tasted like it had been sitting out for a day or two! It was also very bland. Most of the meat such as my orange chicken and my moms beef were very rubbery and chewy. Not to mention my grandfathers fried fish was UNDERCOOKED. He could have gotten sick!! When the bill was brought to us she hovered over my grandpa watching him pull out his money and even laughed at him. At this point, I just wanted to leave. Living nearby, I find myself at this place way more often than I care to. Having said that, as Eric R mentioned, this is a very clean restaurant. It is brightly lit, and the service is great. However, that is where our reviews will diverge. Where Eric R had great experience with the buffet food, I constantly find myself with lots of wasted food due to a soap residue taste on some things, a slight dog food taste in the egg rolls, and some of the chicken dishes are a tad bit too slimy for me. Having said that, I get the mongolian grill every time i go. The ingredients are (relativily) fresh, and I get what I want, how I want it...not something that has been sitting under a lamp for a long time. All in all, I give this restaurant a solid B. Great service, decent food, and usually easy to find a seat. I do not suggest visiting during the evening rush unless you are going West on the boulevard. I have waited over 10m to get out of the parking lot before because of traffic. read more

Basic. I tried the buffet on a recommendation from the irk as there isn't much other than fast food in the immediate area. At first glance I was excited to find Chinese and sushi in AR, when I made it through the buffet, I found a lot of dried up and evaporated pans. Some items were good, don't get me wrong, but things like the sushi had been out for some time and had developed crunchy, dry corners...yuck. The baked crab was not edible. I usually love this restaurant and have high praise for them, but they were bad today. Everything that my wife and I got off of the steam tables was cold. It was cool in the restaurant and all the food from the steam table was room temp. When mentioned to the waitress, they didn't understand us. When checking out and told the manager, he just said sorry. No explaination for the cold food. It will be a while before we return. you can tell this restaurant is on the down hill slope of closing...the bench seating is original and tearing apart. Double check the highchairs as I went through four before finding a sturdy one as most had loose screws. Half the food was either chewy, dry or hard giving me the impression there's no passion for quality. One of the staff was boosting over a tip from across the restaurant to a colleague but spoke in her own native language so no one could understand what was being said. Been to New Asia twice now, once on a Saturday and once on a Sunday. The buffets were very similar except in price with the Sunday buffet coming in a couple dollars higher and with more selections especially in the sushi bar which far exceeds any other buffet I have come by in central AR. This is my go to for takeout as their prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. The staff is always super friendly and service is quick. I find myself here way more than I should be but it's just that good. If I call in an order it's always ready in 15 minutes and you can get a ton of food if you get the buffet to go. Today was my second visit to the new New Asian Super Buffet in North Little Rock, near the city limits of Maumelle. Let me say first and foremost that this is one clean place and for a Chinese buffet decorated quite attractively. The won-ton soup was pretty good for one of these places IE, it actually tasted like won-ton soup. The spring rolls are pretty good but were a tad greasy and not quite as good on the second visit. Bacon wrapped shrimp were tasty too. The coating on the chicken and shrimp for the sweet and sour dishes was a little on the thick side. The sauce itself is rather thin and much more sweet than sweet/sour. I thought it was good and a better accompaniment to the shrimp than the chicken. The Chinese style chicken wings are quite good but taste like every other Chinese style chicken wing you have ever eaten. The General Tso's chicken was among the hottest I have ever eaten. Now let me make one thing perfectly clear (forgive the Nixon quote but this being a Chinese buffet review I could not resist), it was spicy with many visible red pepper flakes but it was incredibly flavorful and quite good. The boneless spareribs were strips of pork done in the red BBQ manner common to most Chinese restaurants. A Mongolian type grill was available but we did not partake. The desserts were a mixture of fresh/canned fruit and food service cakes and cookies. I must comment on how much I enjoyed seeing the lychees and loquats as these are two of my favorites. The waitstaff is attentive and quick. This is a large buffet and in two visits, I have not been able to check out everything I wanted. So I guess that means I will just have to make a trip back! It's good food as far as Buffets go. I liked that they had a mini fresh sushi bar. You don't find that in every buffet you go into. My father in law has gone here often and finds that they are always busy. The food is always good and fresh. They very rarely didn't have things out as well so it was well stocked. I didn't find that the food was too greasy or oily or tasted like dog food. And as far as service goes they come by and pick up your used plates pretty much as soon as you are finished using it. They were also speedy with handing you the check once they notice you've stopped going back for more. Great place to take a group or just go with the family including the kids. There's definitely going to be something for everyone. The other best part is that they have a gazillion different types of shrimp, shrimp with veggies, shrimp to peel, shrimp wrapped in bacon, etc. If you are a shrimp lover this is a place to go. I loved the mussels they had with cheese too. It's a wide eclectic group of different Asian and fried foods. read more
