I also had a lot of questions about the equipment they use. They were responsive to all my questions and issues. Once the paperwork was completed the installs were both completed in one day. The inspector, who was the head inspector for my area, said they did a great job. As soon as the power company switches out my meter, I'll be good to go.

I financed through Puget Sound Cooperative Credit Union, and my monthly payment is actually lower than what the solar is offsetting on my electric bill, which was a big reason I decided to move forward. I'm also a PGE customer, so I qualified for a $3,500 Energy Trust of Oregon incentive that came right off the price. They also have a pretty solid referral program. It's $500 if someone you refer ends up going solar with them. Overall, it was a straightforward experience, no weird pressure, and I felt like I got a really good deal. We reached out to A&R Solar after Purelight Power went bankrupt and all their staff disappeared,…read morebreaching their contract with us to maintain warranted panels and equipment. Previously, Purelight had done a "repair" that actually broke one of our microinverters and left 4 panels offline, leading to significant power loss and a big increase in our electrical bill, so we were pretty desperate for help with undoing the damage Purelight had done. A&R took over management of our Hoymiles instance (that's the app they need access to in order to make sure everything is working right and check on panel metrics), replaced our broken microinverter, and when a part was super late they graciously comped us for it. Excellent work, prompt service, and professional and polite techs and workers across the board. We will absolutely be using them when we convert to a generator/battery model within the next few months. Very highly recommended!

A and R sent their sales person to our house and he got right to work. He went into our crawl space under the roof to make sure our roof was properly supported for the panels. That was a relief as the other place wanted to send a structural engineer to do that very simple job and charge us for it. Ridiculous. Our project was two years, so the crew may be slightly different, but they were great. When there was an issue, like that we didn't have electrical grounding, they just put in grounding bars. Amazing! They offer production guarantees which is rare for a solar company, like those ones that come door to door. lol A and R was professional, easy to work with and easy to communicate with.
