    Windows decked out !

Fantastic boutique. Gorgeous , unusual finds . I bought gifts for at least a 1/2 doz peeps & they really fussed at the goods . Not going to lie , the service can definitely be off putting . I heard them flat out say "NO ",on looking / trying on jewelry , to an inquiring customer , no explanation, just No .??? Kind of caught me off guard . Then I also have seen them w customers that they call the driver to pick up & seemed to know them well & give them exceptional service . We felt good about our salespersons attitude. I have been here a few times . Saw the windows today , before they were opened , going back . Ha ha For the " hard to buy for "person , they have the goods to please . Check it out ! May want to also take in Ten ichi ,Japanese food across the street , really consistently great . Fillmore Street , naturally great for strolling .

Love the various gift items in the store. Great collection for you young and old. Price is a little high but worth the extra.

Since then I've really enjoyed interactions with the instructor (Karen) and the owner (Donna). Karen was very helpful in providing hands-on training to learn about 4 different techniques for chalk painting. Since taking the class, she has been super responsive and has provided a lot of helpful and creative ideas on how to work with different combinations of colors and waxes, has sent me links to some really interesting furniture, and was kind enough to send me a paint brush I left in the store. Donna has also provided a lot of very helpful advice on painting techniques and how to take care of the brushes and paint to prolong their use. She was very thoughtful in recommending that I buy smaller quantities of some of their products which she felt would be sufficient and, in turn, save the pocketbook.

The male shopkeeper was initially pleasant when I asked about a pillow. My husband joined me, and we decided the pillow's colors didn't match our decor. As we browsed, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Upon leaving, I thanked him, but he responded with a side-eye, glare, and silence. It's clear only potential buyers are welcome. This is unfortunate, as I'm renovating my home and this store could have been ideal. I'll take my business elsewhere, as snobbery doesn't boost sales. Why would anyone want negative energy associated with their purchase? No thanks.

There are events in SF where everyone knows it involves some type of costume. An annual event which involves performative running of over seven miles and resembles a mix of a flash mob, rave, fraternity and sorority Greek gathering and those who like to show their fun spirit in San Francisco at the Bay to Breakers run. Some years Karl the Fog accompanies the runners on a Sunday morning and some years the sun shines bright through the entire path. There is a place where you can gear up and show your San Francisco free spirit. Located on Clement street it's called Foggy Notion. On a San Francisco Karl The Fog stroll I landed inside Foggy Notion. Inside you will find candles and natural skincare products along with gifts with some San Francisco representation. The products are made by local artisans . Get a towel of Sutro Tower and salty waters of the Pacific Ocean on the both sides of the Bay Bridge. After the Bay to Breakers run come and get some soap. They also have San Francisco scented candles which doesn't stink like parts of Fisherman's Wharf in SF. I know it's an expensive neighborhood, but people often go to vintage/antiques shops specifically to find good deals. - The inventory (esp. clothes, wall art and decor) doesn't change all that much; I see many of the same items month after month. I wonder: if the prices were more reasonable, would they have more luck getting inventory in and out the door? - Bargaining is often unavailable. STUFF works with 3rd party vendors, so they may not be able to bargain with you (I tried). - The store front feels a bit stale. They painted the building a fun, bright orange, and they have a great little entry outside, but there's nothing there. It's pride this weekend as I write this, and I did notice a fun rainbow outfit inside, but it's hidden way in the back....not out in front. Consider having more fun with your display space! Neither a Pro or a Con: - STUFF's primary focus is Mid-Century Modern furniture and decor. If this is your style, great! If not, there's not much else, furniture-wise.
