This is my go to Nespresso Store. I absolutely love the new store and the new concept. You can have a cup of coffee and sit down and you do not feel pressured. It is a personalized experience. I use love the opportunity to swing by the store to get coffee pods in person. But the new store concept is just terrible! No one has the time or wants to check in and wait 30 minutes to buy pods! This will definitely make me order pods and if that is not efficient enough I'll be getting rid of my nespresso machine. read more

I had a two terrible experiences at this Nespresso store and I would give them zero stars if possible. I've been using Nespresso overseas for the last two years. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating, and happy to answer questions. When I moved to Virginia, I stupidly expected the same thing. There is one man who works here with blonde/light brown hair. He 'helped' me both times. He would scoff at every question that I had, he rolled his eyes when I would order sleeves of espresso, and he couldn't wait to be done talking to me. I never heard a 'thank you,' 'have a nice day,' etc. From what I observed, all of the staff treated customers the same way. I am done with Nespresso and moving to Keurig. Honestly, Nespresso should save themselves the rent money and move completely online. It's embarrassing that they train their employees to be so rude. read more

They helped guide us through different machines without rushing and created such a great ambience. Although they didn't have tasting options at the moment, I found the experience to be amazing and informative. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. People standing around doing nothing but they have a LINE?? What line? There is no line. You're not doing anything. Just help me. No, it's a DIGITAL line. Well where a should I wait? No idea. Are you going to call my name. Yes. Not true. I never heard a single name called in the 20 minutes I was there. After 15 minutes - "what's going on?" It'll be about 10 minutes. 25 minutes to buy coffee pods???? Absurd. All the time two people - one appears to be a manager - standing behind the ridiculous coffee bar doing NOTHING! Sales people often doing nothing but looking at their ridiculous screens. What are they looking at? I'm not buying a machine. I just want some coffee pods. I have no idea what this approach is trying to achieve but I will NEVER go back here until this whole system changes. Free coffee shop lol Well almost. Short anecdote for my experience with this place. Went here just to browse with my friend because I'm looking to replace my Keurig. The moment we walked in we got an iced glare from an older white male employee but another employee wore a cape and saved the day. These coffee machines are so chic and trendy with the price tag to match. We were able to sample as much coffee as we desired. Some were good like Cuban coffee and some had a bitter aftertaste. After careful consideration with my half, we werent going to purchase one. It wouldnt be practical as I probably would use it the first week and forget it about it afterwards. Also, being a loyal customer of Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks helped in making the decision. You have to be really devoted to this brand to drop coins for their machines. However, ill still drop in to get my sample lattes and Cuban coffees. read more

This store and Nespresso telephone customer service has been poor. This store is the first to close for Northern Virginia inclement weather which includes an inch of snow. They also close periodically for other reasons due to "routine unexpected maintenance." I visited the store a few times this month in the hopes of purchasing a limited coffee and it was sold out by the time I was able to return to the store. The hours of this boutique are also limited and less than all other mall merchants. Some reps at this store are always nice. And Nespresso coffee is great. This is why I am leaving 2 stars. And other reps are nice only when I buy dozens of sleeves. The Nespresso telephone customer service are quick to thank me for being a member since 8/16/2015 but truly seem to care only if I am purchasing sleeves from them. The information regarding availability of coffee at retail stores is usually wrong. And sadly retail stores are not availability by phone. I am only 1 customer and the $3,354.75 I have spent on Nespresso coffee is not enough reason to receive good consistent service. Another reason to purchase early and online. This store is why in person retail stores will soon cease to exist. read more

Abysmal customer service. Terrific product. When I entered the store the lovely young lady directed me to the counter to buy the coffee pods. The man serving me could not have been any less interested. I asked for suggestions and he sighed and let out a passive suggestion. I asked about the different size pods and how the machine knows the pour amount. He simply didn't care. When I paid I asked if there were any other shops worth seeing and he said he didn't know because he was a transfer. Let's hope the next transfer he has is to a demotion because if he were representing my brand with that attitude he'd be out the door. Love the machines! Rude older Middle Eastern sales lady at Nespresso! I walk in with my mom and baby to browse around. The sales lady greets us with ... you guys must be here for the sample coffees. I didn't know about whatever sample coffees. I told her sure, we're just looking around. She told us to wait in the corner. We wanted to ask about the coffee machines. Well, there were 2 other customers and maybe 4 employees. After 10 minutes of being in the store, the lady looks at us and looks away and then when the other customers left, she continued to ignore us when I tried to get her attention. So we walked out and she's gave us a smirk. Rude rude rude! These sales people need more training on customer service. I thought they were there to sell their product and answer questions customers have about their product. Will take my business somewhere else! read more

This store is absolutely amazing! Every member of staff is very helpful and personable. Dugi and two of the women there whom I don't know their names (they wear glasses?) greet me each and every time. Dugi served me with absolute excellence and recommended me some phenomenal powerhouse coffee blends that I wouldn't have thought I'd been interested in prior to my conversation with him. The store itself is always presentable, fully stocked and filled with highly trained staff who really know what they are talking about. Highly recommend! read more

Customer service, with some exceptions, is snotty. I mentioned to my friend and she said that's why she buys the pods on Amazon. Do they think they are selling 25 million Malibu mansions? They are coffee pods, people. I walked in the other day and first asked for a few recycling bags - two salespeople at the front looked at me like I was doing a hold up. Don't they encourage recycling? Are people running some recycling bag scam I don't know about? Very unfriendly. In fact, I was about to get in line to buy $100 worth of coffee (not that it should matter), which I did buy. They definitely gave me attitude then reluctantly gave me three bags when we debated what "a few" meant. Managers - please encourage your staff to cut back on the attitude, increase pleasantness and don't treat your customers like suspects. Of course, no apologies for the rude behavior. read more

Do your own research on the various models that are being sold and don't ask the sales staff anything because they are absolutely clueless. I went during to pick out a machine and none of them could identify even the most basic characteristics correctly, they didn't know which machine was first generation, which features each one had, what's the difference between this and that. I get it, it's a sales job in a mall, why try too hard but if you don't care then don't offer to help me and waste my time with made up answers. Imagine you're buying a car. I have been a very happy Nespresso client for a few years now but today I went to buy coffee at Nespresso in Tyson's Mall and "Armita" was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was so upset that I bought another brands machine. She has helped me before and I had the same experience with her. I would have to agree concerning everyone's bad reviews due to customer service.... I love my Nespresso machine. Actually before Nespresso I was spending at least $5 a day for coffee at Starbucks. So for me, I was able to find great use out of the Nespresso machine to make ESPRESSO drinks such as mochas etc. My second to last order for espresso sleeves from Nespresso was much later than we were told but I just waited it out and didn't complain . This time not only was our order very late but it also got lost. The first time I contacted Nespresso they gave me a new delivery date. At this point we went two weeks without coffee. Then when our order didn't come on the new delivery date I contacted Nespresso again. They apologized and said the order was now lost and they would send a new order with complimentary sleeves . You would assume the complimentary sleeves would have been something that we actually drink but it was not. This new order was also delayed so they sent us three more complimentary sleeves. Finally our order arrived in addition to 6 complimentary sleeves. The issue is that the complimentary sleeves were regular coffee which we don't drink. So the rep didn't take the time to see what we order and just sent random sleeves . We didn't want to waste the sleeves and I decided to take them to our local Nespresso boutique and exchange them for espresso sleeves and pay whatever difference in price there would be. The lady who "helped" me was a Caucasian woman with short hair located at the farthest station from the entrance. When I went up to the counter I explained what happened and mentioned I would like to swap the coffee sleeves out for espresso and pay the difference . She legit looked at me with complete attitude and said " so you want to exchange a complimentary gift from our company." And I said yes and explained we DO NOT drink regular coffee and that these coffee sleeves would go to waste because no one in our house would drink them. So instead of them being wasted I would like to exchange them for something we can actually enjoy. She smirked and gave me a side glance and placed the sleeves in their bag and said " I'm sorry but we can't help you. You can contact the Nespresso customer service number." And so I left. If I can help it , I will not be back. Obviously they don't value great customer service . The simple solution would have been to do an exchange and let me pay the difference . I don't know why Nespresso would send us sleeves of a product we don't use. They have our whole order history and not once have we ordered regular coffee. read more

The Nespresso product is hands down always good - never a complaint there. This boutique, especially being the only boutique in northern Virginia, is pretty darn awful in customer service and experience. Most of the Nespresso boutiques we've been to are in Europe, and this one doesn't come anywhere close to those shops. The sampling station is closed what seeks like 90% of the time. Unless you go at 10AM on a Monday, there's always a sign that says they're closed. The rare times we were able to catch a sample, if we asked for milk or condiments, the barista immediately threw an attitude. The point of these boutiques is to allow an experience and set a tone. Can we brew our own Nespresso at home? Absolutely. But it's nice to go in for the experience every now and then. Also, very random, but the boutique literally never has descaling kits. They should just revert to saying they don't carry them. Every time I go in, they say they "just sold out and are getting more back in stock shortly". read more

I visit this location twice a year to buy a 6 month supply of pods. I have always had an okay experience. I was there yesterday and Dugi was the associate who helped me. He was phenomenal! He's very knowledgeable and was extremely patient with me while I made me choices, despite the store being super busy. I hope he's still working there the next time I go. read more

I've never given a review on Yelp before, but with how POOR the customer service is at the Tysons Corner Nespresso Boutique, I've decided to take the time to voice my unfortunate recent experience. The other evening I just wanted to make an exchange for a couple of sleeves that I purchased the day before. I go to the Nespresso website to make sure I can get to the store within their hours (open till 7pm). Granted the mall is open, other stores are open, but Nespresso door's are closed. I did arrive within the indicated hours of operations. However, there were 4 employees inside restocking shelves. I was able to get the attention of one of them just to have him RUDELY say they were closed and that NO ONE could help me. Again, granted online it said they were open and there were still workers inside. I stated that I drove nearly 45 minutes just to make an exchange, not even with the intention to make any additional purchase. The gentleman was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL with his tone. Despite my long drive and already being outside the store with workers inside, did not want to make the effort at all to save me another timely trip and make the easy exchange. He was very persistent that NO ONE could help me and URGED ME TO GO AWAY. He did make the offer to get his manager in the back to talk it out with me (how thoughtful of him). The man goes to the back to walk out with the manager. HOWEVER, rather than the manager coming to me like the man said she would, all 4 of them inside JUST IGNORE ME AND DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ME AT ALL. At that point I decided to call Nespresso's 24/7 customer service line as at this point I'm more irritated that I am blatantly being disrespected as a human being, not just a customer . While I'm on the phone outside the store, mall security approaches me stating they received a call about me. RATHER THAN THE MANAGER TAKING THE TIME TO COME TO THE FRONT DOOR TO TALK TO ME SHE CALLS SECURITY. Respectively, I told Tysons mall security I meant no harm and did not mean to cause any trouble. He did inform me that the Nespresso employees inside did in fact call them about me because I apparently was "DEEMED AS A THREAT" to them and I was blocking the only exit for them to leave and go home. I ended up finishing my call outside the store, leaving without any trouble. I did ask security to reach out to me after I left to give me the name of at least someone in there. Got back to me with the name JANEAL. Very surprised her and the other 3 employees are even employed as just my experience with them shows the lack of character and respect they have for others. The next day, granted my 3rd day in a row coming to the store, I finally make the exchange I need. However, this time I came to the store wearing a dress shirt and slacks. Unlike the day before I wore a hoodie, beanie, and shorts. I will let you know I was treated with 2 completely different customer service experiences and inevitably felt PROFILED. Granted I am the same person, I most definitely was not treated the same the day before because of the lack of effort in my outfit. Just because I was dressed better than the day before, there was actually sense of customer service and effort to help me all because of the way I looked. I spoke to the assistant manager at the time, MARIA GONZALES, and she was very polite DESPITE the fact that she refused to give me the name of the other manager on staff last night. Couldn't even give me a first name. Being in the customer service industry for x amount of years, I have never heard a company establish a rule that they don't need to provide their name to their customers. I did get the head store managers name, MERCEDES BRYGIDER. I will just say reading the other Yelp reviews about the Tysons Nespresso in particular, my experience lines up fairly well with the others. UTTERLY POOR customer service with INCOMPETENT management that obviously seems to not care about improving the branding of Nespresso at all. If Nespresso really cared about their branding, imaging, and product they should most definitely consider taking the time to re-org this store in particular. I will leave this review on a positive note and say that Nespresso has a great product and I highly suggest trying them out if you haven't done so already! I would just advise buying your pods online to avoid security getting called on you for being a customer! My personal favorite flavor is Bianco Leggero and highly suggest it :) read more

Excellent coffee, staff is great, but you always have to double check that you received your promo items when there is a promo going on, sometimes they forget to add that to the bag, convenient location and pre pandemic coffee tasting was a great idea to see what you like, unfortunately due to Covid-19 there is no longer a coffee tasting station, so it's hard to try new products on the spot. read more
