Came on a weeknight with a reservation and there was a line out the door waiting for it to open. Service was friendly and timely. Very family friendly. 1. Bone marrow - Delicious and tons of flavor 2. Pasta with seafood - Good portion with plenty of creamy flavor 3. Tableside cheesy pasta - Tons of cheese in this dish and highly recommended 4. Steak - Good portion and easy to split. Not the best steak I've had but good Overall, a solid dinner if you are in the area and a good choice!

Nerino Dieci Trattoria is an Italian restaurant in the Duomo area of Milan. It's located down a deserted alleyway away from the riffraff. We walked in at 9:15 pm on a Thursday night without a reservation and needed to wait only 10-minutes to snag a table. We were given complimentary sparkling wine while waiting before we were led to our table. The ambiance is relaxed and chill for couples and close families. We were provided wet wipes for our hands and complimentary bread. I also ordered a drink followed by mussels and a couple of pasta dishes. [WINE] +Glass of House White Wine for €5 - 4/5 [MUSSELS] +With 'Nduja (olive oil, garlic, and spicy salami) for €12 - This was an extremely large bowl of mussels with a slightly spiced broth to dip the bread in. They provided a plate to put the empty shells and cleared it away with another fresh plate a few times while eating; talk about incredible service! The mussels were mostly good with some tasting slightly fishy. After finishing this item, they replaced the utensils with another set before our pastas arrived. - 4/5 [PASTA] +Linguine with lobster and tomato sauce for €26 - This pasta was good, but it was messy to break apart the lobster even further than it was already cracked. They did provide the tools to get the job done though. It's a simple pasta, but I wish it was more flavorful. - 3.5/5 +Tagliolini with clams and spicy salami for €16 - This pasta was great and had a nice spice to it. I would recommend this one over the linguine. There are other pastas on the menu which also look excellent. - 4.5/5 To end the night, they provided a complimentary Pistachio Cream Liqueur as they said it helps with digestion. I enjoyed it. We also saw they were serving "Grappa" which is a fragrant, grape-based pomace brandy. One of the bartenders let me try it for my first time, and it was excellent. The grappa was strong and warmed my insides! Overall, I loved this experience in Milan, and I would highly recommend checking Nerino Dieci Trattoria for their excellent service and quality food!

Ayo y'all need to stop coming to this place cuz I always had a hard time getting a table!! Especially Friday and Saturday. That said..... a reservation is highly recommended. Food is amazing especially their pasta dishes, if you still have room after primi then def go for secondi and dessert. They are unique among Milanese restaurants in that they have a charcoal/fire grill for steaks and meat dishes. If you come here often they occasionally have a hit or miss new dish but nothing too crazy. Service is always impeccable, everyone treats you (at least me) like family and they know you by name, if you patronize often. They always try to get me drunk at the end of the meal by offering different digestifs and sometimes put the super high alcohol content in plastic bottle and have me take it (so they could open a new bottle haha) The dining room gets LOUD and probably too brightly lit for a romantic dinner but maybe the bar tables next to the kitchen ain't so bad for the date you try to impress??

Excellent experience at Nerino for our first night in Milan. The menu had something for everyone. It seemed like a place the locals went to dine. The service was top-tier (if you're from the USA...don't forget to that you have to ASK for the bill when you're done). We didn't feel rushed to leave at all (classic Italy). Each course was delivered at a great pace and we enjoyed every bite. House wine was also delicious (and only 15 euro!!!). Highly recommend!!! Add this spot to your list!!!!

Service was great. We were a party of 8 but we didn't make a reservation. Thankfully the staff were able to accompany us. Ambiance was great exterior wise. Food was delicious. I enjoyed everything except my steak. It was a little dry, hard, and I wish it was more tender(I ordered medium rare). It was starting to hurt my teeth. Could have been just me because I am not that good at cutting steak and I was putting huge bites into my mouth at once but I do recommend this. 9.7/10 :)

We made a reservation on their website on a weekday before leaving the US, which I highly recommend doing. The best restaurant experience we had in Milan! We shared a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to start. My pasta was prepared Parmigiano-Reggiano (cheese wheel) style with fresh tomatoes right in front of you. You also get a generous portion of cheese shavings on top of the pasta. My mouth is salivating just thinking about this delicious concoction. The hubs had the clam squid pasta, which was slightly spicy and oh so good. You can definitely taste the sea in every bite. Both dishes tasted so fresh and I'd highly recommend going! Best to believe that we'll be coming back!

Wow!! Very awesome place. Had to wait around 10 minutes no reservation. Got greeted with champagne. Food was awesome! Cool to see the chefs cooking through the window.

Highly recommend making a reservation especially if you're going on a weekend. We we're lucky to get a table for 5 by booking on the same day. We only tried their pastas but I have to say, it was mouth watering delicious! Favorite one was the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes tossed in a wheel of grana pandano. They do the tossing right in front of you. Second favorite was the tagliatelle with prawns and pistachio. Third was the pesto. Dessert was not bad but not amazing so I'd just go out and get some gelato. We could have had more pasta because it was that yummy, but we decided to stop ourselves and not overeat.

    This was incredible.

Best place in Milan. I can't wait to be back. It is always packed so try to make your reservation early. A friend suggested this place to me. I like to try different things but I got attached to this place lol. Everything is fresh and delicious. The smell of the food is pure art. They put love into it.

This is the type of restaurant you want to look for when you're a traveler and not a tourist. Fantastic food, excellent service, and hospitality of Italy all in one. Pastel was fantastic, state quiz yummy, seafood was incredible! Just be sure to make a reservation. Second visit in two days, the waiter recognized us and slipped us in without a reservation! Wine is still awesome at $10 and anything shrimp is fantastic! Had the tomahawk steak tonight and goodness gracious, simply awesome! The kitchen is always so calm and efficient, Chef #GordonRamsey would be proud!

4.5 stars. Excellent meal - delicious food, friendly service and affordable price. One of my most memorable meals during a 2 weeks trip to Italy. Our favorites are the fried dumplings with prosciutto and honey, the tuna steak, and the truffle/mushroom ravioli (favorite pasta dish on my trip). Dessert (three tiramisu) was probably the only slight let down - thus the 4.5. Restaurant is a bit hard to find - it's in an alley in a local neighborhood but definitely worth checking out. Would totally visit again next time I'm in Milan.

Ever have one of those amazing restaurant experiences where it feels like the entire restaurant is interacting together over wine, and the servers are also taking part? That's what it was like at Nerino Dieci when we dined here for my step father's birthday on a Friday night at 8pm! Seriously, a great atmosphere where your neighbors become your friends (despite not speaking the same languages) and you'll be toasting whatever they are toasting! Ambiance - warm and cozy with a fire place (though it was used for wine storage), which reminds me that the place was stacked with wine all around! Service - really outstanding and they did a great job bringing out a candle for the birthday boy. Wine - very comprehensive wine list sorted by color and then by region (Italian wines only). As noted, wine in Europe is cheap, and this was no exception, bottles started at 14 euros and went up from there, with the majority in the 18 euro area. Our chosen bottle was fantastic! Food - Absolutely amazing! Two dishes really stood out, although I must note, I believe the menu changes here by season! So what did we eat? Well, a lot, even the server was shocked by our order, but I told him we could handle it. **Octopus in pesto sauce - hands down the best octopus of my life! **Assorted burratas - I learned I do not like smoked burrata, but other than that, this place was great! **Scallops Au Gratin - ok, nothing to rave about. **Risotto - warm and creamy! **Pesto pasta - delicious! **Beef Tenderloin - SO SO SO good! **Pistachio covered Tuna - perhaps the best tuna steak of my life! Melt in your mouth good. **Veal cutlets - good, but the radicchio was too bitter and I had to pick it out. **Side of roasted veggies - ok. **Leonardo - very good! Though some of the fruit at the bottom was off putting, perhaps I just wasn't expecting melon lol. **DIY Cannolis - Not a huge fan of cannolis so I stayed away. **Ricotta cake - delicious! Seriously, MAKE A RESERVATION. We came early at 8pm by Italy standards and found the place quite busy. When we walked out at ~10pm the place was insane and a line was congregating out front that reminded me of people waiting at The Cheesecake Factory!

It's located in a stand alone building about a 10 minute drive from the Duomo. It seemed at least 1/2 if not more of the customers on a Saturday evening were locals rather than tourists. A definite positive in my book. We tried the stuffed octopus, grilled scallops, Captain's Risotto, bavette with shrimp and tomato, grilled monkfish, and grilled prawns with garlic and chili oil. The stuffed octopus was just ok. The grilled scallops were amazing. The bavette pasta dish was perfectly al dente and had a great flavor. The grilled prawns were superb, however there were only 5 prawns for 40 euros which seems rather ambitious . The monkfish was delicious as well. I really enjoyed the chicory salad for 5 euros. My only gripe here were the numerous flys that were buzzing around the table throughout the entire meal. It was of course late July in the middle of the summer, but I really would expect more from the restaurant. Maybe bug lights, fans, misters or something. Really too many flys for a place of this caliber. The service was prompt and attentive. Food: 4.0 - 4.5 stars Service: 4.25 stars Ambiance: 3.5-4.0 stars Would I come back? Yes, but maybe in the winter instead. Pro Tip: a few items in the menu are marked for a minimum of 2 people. I overheard the waiter next to us offering another customer the ability to order any of the items for just 1 person.

Had a wonderful meal with capesante (scallops) appetizer, seafood primo, and a large Rombo (similar to a Halibut but a bit different) with wine and and interesting desert... for sixe people it came to 388 euro, so say 65 euro per person. The location is cool, a stand alone white building at the end of the canal (hence "al porto")
