Cozy local restaurant near Milano Centrale train station and our hotel. Owners, Maria and Marco so friendly and inviting. Both the linguine d'autunno and the risotto pistacchio e gamberetti were delicious I make my own risotto but never with pistachios. Maria kindly shared how they make theirs. Definitely a place to return to many times.

Last few calamari pieces! Very fresh and yummy.

Amazing dinner here in Milan! Such a lovely patio dining area. The waitress was kind and helpful. We forgot to take pictures of all the gods because we dug right in! They brought us complementary bruschetta, which was absolutely delicious!! Then we shared some calamari fritti, it was so juicy and delicious! Then I ordered a pappardelle pomodoro and my husband ordered a seafood pasta. He loved the flavor, but there were some Clam shell bits. So he was a bit disappointed. The rest of our party all enjoyed their food as well!

As we eat our way through northern Milan, our next craving was octopus. We found this little gem in a small alleyway with a very friendly owner waiting to welcome us. This was the first restaurant we've been to that didn't speak English too well but no issue as we all speak the international language of FOOD. Nice beer on draft to start the night with our goal of the night - octopus! Super tender with delicious potatoes. Normally i prefer a bit of char on mine but it was so well done with a bit of arugula for a nice balance of flavor. We shared a pasta with seafood dish that came served like a pot pie which was really fun. Limencello on the house for a quick digestive and we were on our way from this yummy and affordable dinner.

I found this place through Yelp based on reviews and it was outstanding. The food and service were top notch and the prices were fair. The owner took the time to explain the menu and options and made us a meal to remember. The pasta, meat and seafood were cooked to perfection. We will be back when we visit Milano again.

This place is an absolute gem! Went based on other good reviews here (and proximity to me when I was looking on the app and starving!). The owner met us at the door with a huge smile and immediately got us a table outside. Fresh bruschetta on the house to start, followed by caprese salad, 4-cheese gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara (my fave by far), mushroom filet and milanese cutlet. Great value for the amount of food we had. The overall vibe was very familiar, neighborhood hangout

Service: 5* Taste: 5* Ambience: 4* Food quantity: 5* While on vacation, stopped by this place to have dinner. Great little restaurant right next to the new Duo Milano Porta Nuovo. Greeted by what I assume were a husband and wife team. Very nice and accommodating. For a starter, we ordered the fried calamari and the mussel soup. Delicious! Maria brought over some garlic flat bread that we used to sop up the juices from the soup. My dinner mates ordered the spaghetti carbonara, tagliatelle con Raghu and porcini and I ordered the seafood spaghetti. The carbonara was great, well seasoned and perfectly Al dense. The tagliatelle was perfect and the rage and porcini sauce was fantastic. My spaghetti with seafood was a real surprise. It came out in a large earthen ware shallow dish covered in dough. It had been roasted in the oven until the dough was toasted and the inside was steamed perfectly. Maria took off the top to reveal the spaghetti with mussels, shrimp, a prawn, and some calamari. The dough we used to sop up juices from everyone's meals. It was so good. Like a thick fresh flour tortilla, but much more flavorful. What a great meal! We would return here and plan to in a few nights.

What a hidden gem. Glad to find this restaurant near Milan Central Station. Owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. Value was incredible here. Lobster linguine was just 20 euros and menu prices were all really reasonable. The owner provided complimentary bruschetta and basket of dinner breads, and after our meal the owner offered complimentary Limoncello liquor drinks! We had for appetizer the grilled octopus with potato and there were loads of delicious and meaty octopus. I had the aforementioned lobster linguine which was great, and the owner make sure you get a bib and plate with cracking tool, picking fork, and hand wipes. My wife had the seafood linguine and that was really good as well. The desserts were not home made but from a vendor called Bindi. The selection was excellent and we enjoyed the canola and a special tartufo. We had a fabulous meal! Tipping was not expected but we offered a 10% tip and the owner politely declined. We inserted a cash tip in the billfold anyways! That's how much we appreciated the dinner experience there.

Amazing service, incredible food. We stumbled upon this cute little spot on our first night in Milan. Very friendly owner-operator went out of his way to provide exceptional service and the food matched. It's a shame "one star Karen" didn't get the opportunity to eat at this hidden gem so that she could give it a proper review. So far, this was our favorite meal. We will definitely be back before we leave!

Amazing all the good reviews weren't lying this place was awesome. Very reasonable pricing.

Both tasted like they'd been frozen beforehand and were among the worst meals we've had in Italy. What made it worse was the service. We were completely ignored the entire time. When we did get served, it was no eye contact and just staring at us to tell the server what we wanted (and that was after I had to wave them down!) At first, I thought they were giving us privacy, but everyone around us had their tables cleared and were offered dessert while we sat with our finished plates for at least five minutes. When we finally got up to leave, they stopped us to offer dessert, which was a nice gesture, but by then, the experience had already soured. There was no music playing either, making the whole meal feel awkwardly silent. With so many great options in Milan, I wouldn't recommend this one.

The food was simple and delicious - we started with a Caprese salad, very nice, followed by bread that was super fresh and a heartier flavor than we had at other restaurants. For entrees we decided on seafood after so many pasta and pizza meals - we tried their grilled tuna and grilled swordfish, and both were outstanding. The tuna had a nice salt/subtle seasoning and was prepared perfectly, seared on the outside and rare on the inside. My wife's swordfish was also nicely prepared, and the portion was huge - twice the amount she expected (see photos)! And the generous portion of veggies were tasty. For dessert my wife had tiramisu and said it was among the best she had on our entire trip (and she had many!). I had a wonderful pistachio dessert with almonds on the outside that was great (forgot the name), but highly recommend it. Service was professional and prompt (no hovering, a pet peeve). As we ate, the restaurant filled with locals who all seemed to know the staff personally, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere with a nice family feel. We walked to the restaurant so I can't comment on parking, but the neighborhood was clean and the restaurant exterior is well-lit. So, if you like excellent food at reasonable prices with great service, try San Mina!
