We found this little, local spot by the Milan train station and it was a godsend. It was our first night in Milan and we had zero energy but lots of hunger, haha! We did not have a reservation, but they were able to find room for us. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, we didn't feel out of place as we often do as Americans. There were all kinds of people inside but definitely locals. We split a bottle of wine, a pizza, and a piece of incredible pistachio cheesecake for dessert. The best dessert we had on our whole trip. We went here for dinner as it was walking distance from where we were staying. There was a short wait. We sat outside and the tables are packed close together. The food takes a while to come out and not together. When the wait staff brings out the food, they'll ask which table ordered the specific dish. We ordered the Catalan octopus and shrimp as an appetizer. My bf had the grilled calamari with vegetables (zucchini and eggplant) as a main. He enjoyed it with the exception of the eggplant. I went with the paccheri (pasta) with pistachio pesto, crispy bacon and burrata. The flavors complimented each other. At the end of the meal, we were given shots of limoncello. Eat local. Loved this neighborhood gem. My sister-in-law found this charming restaurant on Google. Nice to be able to get a seat outside on the patio. Menu!!! So many options. Pizza. Pasta. Veal. Seafood. Desserts. The menu probably had the most extensive pizza menu of any that we saw in Italy. My sister-in-laws both got the pizza quattro formaggi. Literally the four cheese pizza. Mozzarella. Gorgonzola. Scamorza. Grana. Heart shaped. Perfection! My hubby and my brother-in-law had a vegetarian pizza with zucchini and eggplant. The pizzas were huge. Secondi di pesce. Branzino or sea bream. Count me in. I asked our waiter, and family restaurateur, what he recommended. The sea bream cooked Mediterranean style was so delicious. Loved the tomato sauce with locally grown vegetables. And a deal at just 15 euros. Loved our last family meal on our Mediterranean vacation. The service was amazing. The food was so delicious. Pasta literally to die for. This was my favorite dish I had while in Milan! Service was good, pasta was better. You'll have to wave someone down to get the check, as is typical for Italian restaurants, but definitely stay and enjoy the food for a while! Oh my god- this place is significantly underrated and honestly hope it stays that way. A family owned and run business, they know the meaning of customer service! They are located around the corner from Milan Centrale and we had to catch a train to the airport so we ordered takeaway. Regardless, every single table was packed. Their dishes are very decently priced considering the portion size and location of the restaurant. The woman at the door was so kind and gave me enough time to peruse the menu before ordering. It took only about 10 minutes before our food was ready to go and piping hot! We paid and they accidentally charged us in USD so gave us a free drink for the mistake, the guy was so kind. When we finally got around to eating, the food was still so hot and tasted amazing. Honestly, this might be the best meal we've had all trip, the photos I took don't do it justice! I ordered the risotto Milanese and penne arrabiatta. The penne was so spicy and a bit oiler than I would have liked but it was so hot and good I can't complain about it. I think the takeaway had more quantity than dine in - the two of us couldn't finish all the food. For 24 euros, this was such a great value. I definitely want to come back and try other things one day! read more

My favorite spot in Milan! Food was phenomenal! You can ordered anything on their menu and it would not disappoint. Service was absolutely amazing. The staff literally picked out something new for us to try each time we dined there 3 nights back to back. They really welcomed 2 NYC tourist with love and was very accommodating from food, drinks and dessert! This place does not rely or need tourists to visit as most of their customers are locals. Food here is...fine? It's not in a super touristy spot, but there seemed to be mostly tourists in the restaurant, so not sure what's up with that. The server was really friendly and recommended dishes to us. The pasta with burrata was decent, along with the seafood risotto, but it was all very mid. What an amazing family run restaurant. This is a highly popular neighborhood restaurant. The people were so friendly from the customers and to the family who runs it.
