Risotto alla Milanese
Lora B.

This spot was low key and was an overachiever. When our waiter dropped off the bread and said "here's some good bread" we thought he was kidding, but it was the best we had in Italy over 2 weeks. The veal Milanese was cooked to perfection and pounded out to a perfect then cutlet. The risotto was another eye opener with simple ingredients that were perfectly balanced. This spot gave us a chance to really enjoy the local eats with an elevated touch.

Went there in June. If you don't have a reservation you will likely eat inside. There is no noticeable AC but it was like most other restaurants in that way. Caprese salad was basic. Fine. Pizzas were nicely precut and good! Would order again. Gnocchi was a bit firm and bland but they had excellent parmeggiano on the table that helped a lot. House red wine was nice but way too warm. Other dishes we saw looked good. Service was good.

Spaghetti alle vongole

The spaghetti alle vongole was top notch! Bursting with flavor, it was the best we have had. Our server, Nicholas was very welcoming and had great energy, you can tell he loves what he does. This restaurant is what you look for when you come to Italy, the kind of place that treats you well and has you leave smiling.

Amazing dining experience! Fun food and wine. Our table enjoyed grilled sea bass and truffle ravioli. Both were delicious! Definitely going back.

Service: 4* (slow kitchen) Taste: 4* Value: 3* Ambience: 4* (if you sit outside be prepared for smokers to surround you) Had dinner here on our last night in Milan. The food was good, especially the risotto. The oso buco was fantastic, tender, well seasoned, and tasty. The pizza was good. Side salad was just an opened salad bag, so it was disappointing. The branzino was good, just be careful of the bones. The octopus and potato salad was a welcomed surprise, very good. The spicy oil was the star of the show. It was VERY spicy, but in a good way. Loved it. The biggest issue, really only issue, was the speed of the kitchen. The two male servers tried to keep you updated but after receiving our octopus and side salad, we waited over 45 minutes for our next dish. The food did come out hot and good, but it was quite a while between courses. They do offer a welcome glass of Prosecco and shot of lemoncello, so don't miss those.

Spaghetti alla vongole

Delicious final meal here in Milan. Courtyard area is vibrant and nicely lit and the server was very welcoming. I got the spaghetti alla vongole, a favorite of mine, and it was excellent. No complaints.

Osso buco

Food is very mediocre. Whatever you do, DO NOT come here for your osso buco fix. It is tough and small. The "risotto" tastes nothing better than Uncle Ben's yellow rice we microwave at home in the states. Very disappointing. I'll give the Chianti 5 stars as it was not made here. Overpriced for underwhelming food.

We started out our trip in Milan and found this place. The food is amazing, service was great and loved the atmosphere! We loved it all so much we came back our last night before we flew home. Would highly recommend!

Delicious veal chop (October 27, 2023)

My first meal in Milan after long flight last month and it was perfect , charming setting. The service was excellent and food (veal chop in particular) was delicious. The gentleman waiter, who I believe is the owner, served everyone in the indoor/outdoor seating area and was so generous with little extras and was very attentive. Can't wait to go back and take wife and daughter.

Truffle ravioli

This is my go to spot in Milan. Food is great, service is great. Beautiful outside sitting area. Service is great although, it gets crazy when it gets busy. Restaurant gets packed very quickly and servers get busy. Overall, totally recommend

A very traditional osteria serving classic northern Italian preparations…read more We sat in the garden area which I highly recommend as it's more intimate and inviting. We started with the mixed salumi and formagio plate which came with prosciutto, truffled mortadella, soppresatta, coppa, two types of cheese and giardiniera along with freshly baked bread. It was more than enough for 4 and very reasonably priced. We split a spaghetti with bottarga while our friends had the seafood risotto. Both were very good. This was accompanied by a nice bottle of Pio Ceasare Barbera. For my secondi I had the traditional osso buco which was very tender and served with a rich Espangole sauce. For dessert we split the zabaglione which was the only item that was outstanding as it seemed to gave been sitting. Service was very attentive and prices are good considering the portions and quality.

You can't beat the ambiance. The outdoor back patio is wonderfully decorated and very comfortable,…read moreeven on a brisk winter evening because of the many heat lamps. The ceiling is made of vines and twinkling lights which gives a great "secret garden" vibe. The service was good, they were trying hard, a mishap with plates, a few long pauses after menu or food requests, but overall was acceptable. We ordered the artichoke salad and the mushroom tagliolini. Would not recommend the artichoke salad but enjoyed the tagliolini. We also ordered the sea bass fillet ( needed salt) and the steak (which was very good). We finished our meal with the crème brûlée which was perfectly creamy. There was one odd thing here about the bathrooms. They were basically co-ed bathrooms with some urinals completely exposed with no privacy. Just something to be aware of before opening the door. Very glad we dined here. There were a couple of food items that could have been a bit better, but overall, this was a very good meal.
