Food was only okay. Bread was dry and not served with oil or butter or anything. Service was slow and un helpful. Asked for recommendations and was given eyerolls. Ambiance was nice but there are definitly better choices. Skip this one

Risotto alla milanese con ossobuco, molto buono!
    Andrea O.

Sitting outside on the river was very tranquil although many people on a Sunday afternoon. Got lucky and got a great table under an umbrella. Quite busy but worth the wait. Started with a selection of local cheeses and although small for 5 persons all of them great. The eggplant appetizer was good to share and tasty. The salads are quite large and great.

I had really high expectations for this place based on the reviews but was underwhelmed. Had the tagliatelle with ham and zucchini. It was a bit too salty for my taste but the tagliatelle was cooked well. Their wine options are limited if you're ordering by the glass. It was either a white dry wine or prosecco or 2 types of red wine. The bread was also very boring in my opinion. Very cute atmosphere and views of the canal though. Would be great for date night.

This restaurant was right on the water where we easily got a table outside for 2 with no reservations. The food was good, not anything extraordinary and as mentioned before pricey. The menu was very small and the wait staff was nice but didn't check in much. Aside from the food, this outdoor seating was filled with swarming mosquitoes. We were not sitting for more than 2 minutes when we got at least 10 bug bites each. If we didn't begin ordering, I would have gotten up right there but instead I was forced to pay 10 Euro for bug spray from a guy selling it on the side of the road.

Good sized ozzo buco, plates could be shared. The mussels were good, not spicy at all.

A lovely location along the canal. Only disappointing thing is the street hawkers will not leave you alone. I started with bacon and black bread. It was actually Lardo. Not horrible but too rich for my taste and the texture eventually did me in. My main course was tagliatelle with mushrooms. The portion was very generous and I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the Porta Genova area.

Osso Buco with Risotto. I guess the main dish to get in Milan and it is definitely worth it!

Limited review. Loved the area and the one dish I got at this restaurant. I ordered the osso buco and risotto which was delicious. The meat was perfectly tender and the risotto was creamy and flavorful. The restaurant seems to be a little off from the main tourist areas in the Nivigli district which is well worth the visit. Nice to get a bite near the river.

Go here to get a classic italian pasta while also having a great view of Navigli in a casual atmosphere(in the warmer months). I recommend to sit outside if its warm, but if not the inside of Luca e Andrea is also very cute. The menu is on the smaller and simpler side and the ingredients are fresh.

    That veal....... :')

First meal in Italy ;) so of course very sentimental and all I remember is DELICIOUS. Even despite waiting with starving tummies for over one hour after getting our bottle of rosso.....all I can remember is how much I enjoyed that food. I had the veal and potatoes. Some kind of amazing lemony sauce. Soft soft juicy meat. Oh my goodness. That's all. I loved it!

A beautiful little place along the Navigli Grande Canal. I was one of the only three tables that were occupied, however this did not deter from the quality of the food. I had a simple spaghettoni with traditional red sauce and it was incredible! I also recommend the house Sangiovese red wine... yum, yum, yum!

Had their house red (medium finish), Dieci Monferrato Rosso, for about 10euro - you cannot beat this. Guests drank the whole bottle and literally ran a marathon the next day. She found Nerino Dieci but they were about to close for lunch so we rushed over. We got there with time to spare. The bartender greeted us right away and asked if we had reservations. We didn't so we stood in line to be seated with everyone who didn't have reservations. The place was full! When you enter, you immediately see their bar area. To your left, as you face the dining area, you see the grilling area. It's very clean and organized! It didn't take too long to be seated and we were happy they could take us so close to closing. We were provided English menus. Since we had time to check out their offerings online while we waited for a table, we had screenshots of what we wanted. It was a little hard to find the corresponding menu item with the screenshots at first. Our server came over and took our order when we looked confident with what we wanted to order. Just to be safe, we also shared photos to minimize errors. We ordered a Tagliolini with Clams and Spicy Salami, Tonnarelli with Cheeses, Pepper and Bacon, Milanese Veal Cutlet with Rocket and Cherry Tomatoes, Natural Microfiltered Draft Water and a Glass of House Red Wine. Our server asked how we wanted the food to come out and we said all together. It didn't take the bar long to get our drinks to us. After some conversation, our food arrived and it looked amazing! The Tagliolini with Clams and Spicy Salami along with the Milanese Veal Cutlet with Rocket and Cherry Tomatoes arrived first. Minutes later, the Tonnarelli with Cheeses, Pepper and Bacon arrived. The clams in Mink's dish were very tasty and the pasta had a slight kick to it through its sauce. We both really enjoyed the cutlet and completely finished it. It was huge so that surprised us that we finished the plate. The Cacio e Pepe was very cheesy and rich. It was really good but heavy. The food is delicious here and we can see why they have earned so many good reviews. Good customer service from the entire staff and they work nonstop due to how busy they are with the lunch rush. Another awesome find by Mink.

It's located in a stand alone building about a 10 minute drive from the Duomo. It seemed at least 1/2 if not more of the customers on a Saturday evening were locals rather than tourists. A definite positive in my book. We tried the stuffed octopus, grilled scallops, Captain's Risotto, bavette with shrimp and tomato, grilled monkfish, and grilled prawns with garlic and chili oil. The stuffed octopus was just ok. The grilled scallops were amazing. The bavette pasta dish was perfectly al dente and had a great flavor. The grilled prawns were superb, however there were only 5 prawns for 40 euros which seems rather ambitious . The monkfish was delicious as well. I really enjoyed the chicory salad for 5 euros. My only gripe here were the numerous flys that were buzzing around the table throughout the entire meal. It was of course late July in the middle of the summer, but I really would expect more from the restaurant. Maybe bug lights, fans, misters or something. Really too many flys for a place of this caliber. The service was prompt and attentive. Food: 4.0 - 4.5 stars Service: 4.25 stars Ambiance: 3.5-4.0 stars Would I come back? Yes, but maybe in the winter instead. Pro Tip: a few items in the menu are marked for a minimum of 2 people. I overheard the waiter next to us offering another customer the ability to order any of the items for just 1 person.

Had a wonderful meal with capesante (scallops) appetizer, seafood primo, and a large Rombo (similar to a Halibut but a bit different) with wine and and interesting desert... for sixe people it came to 388 euro, so say 65 euro per person. The location is cool, a stand alone white building at the end of the canal (hence "al porto")

The best of a night at several bars on the Navigli. Read my profile and my reviews, you'll find…read morethat I am a pretty experienced booze hound. Pinch is a total replica of American hipster craft cocktail bars, in Milan. The bartenders wear suspenders and do tricks with shakers. I'm waiting for an ironic mustache, preferably like the Moretti guy has. The drinks are exceptional. When I was there, they had one made of green tomatoes and mountain pine liqueur that was a taste party in my mouth. The aperitivo snacks are also really excellent, a small tray of various interesting crunchy things. No potato chips -- we're talking samosas in wonton wrappers with sweet chili sauce, Indian curry rice, a ham-arugula roll, and baba ghanoush. My second drink didn't quite match the first, but it was close. Also, the only bar in Milan that gave me *zero* grief about wanting a simple glass of tap water. In fact, they just give you one. Mega bonus points for that. I'm sick of paying for "aqua panna Toscana" that I neither need nor want. Been drinking Milan tap water in my hotel room for four days now. It's fine. Pour it on. Food offerings from the regular menu are a little hit or miss, but on the other hand, I had kind of stuffed myself with aperitivo. Had I been hungry, might've been a different story.

And yet I thought this Milanese neighborhood was only…read morefilled with bars with bad & cheap drinks, loud music and greasy aperitivo food (well, there are plenty of bars like that but thankfully not all of them). Pinch is a new bar right in Ripa di Porta Ticinese, not in the pedestrian part of the Naviglio, which means they don't have outside seating - except for the tables at the windows. It has a retro vibe, as if you entered a 1920s bar, dim lights, soft 1920's music; elegant but not ostentatious atmosphere. The cocktails list has about 15 signature cocktails, all with an explanation of the alcoholic level (medium or high), taste (fresh, spicy, bitter, etc.) and of course the ingredients, classic cocktails with a twist, made extremely well, with good ingredients. They also have a food menu but I didn't check it out since we were there for the aperitivo - which then turned into after-dinner drinks. I had the "South of the Border" with tequila, chartreuse vert, lime juice, sugar syrup and fresh mint, it was fresh and delicious, then I had another one and another one... just to be sure they were made perfectly ;) For the aperitivo, our cocktails were 8 euro each and the waiter (who looked like Robert Pattinson) brough a small tray with some snacks: rice and salad in small glasses, chips, mini-sandwiches and a couple of vol-au-vents - not enough to fill our stomachs completely but also not the average greasy aperitivo food. Nice staff, a full bar with quality bottles and clean bathrooms complete the experience. Too bad it's far from my house, but worth the subway trip back!
