Seated very quickly, nice clean restaurant and nice waiters although language barrier made ordering a bit clunky. My wife got the ravioli while my friend and I got the bolognese lasagna. My wife said the ravioli was good not great and our lasagna was very tasty but room temperature. I like my food hot. The other person at our table got salmon and it was way overcooked and very tough. Not sure why our other party got Salmon at an Italian restaurant in Italy but to each his own. If you want a glass of wine you only have two choices, white wine and red wine. No other available. This is probably because the restaurant doesn't carry large inventories of wine due to their small size and cost. Overall no way is this above an average restaurant. It's just okay. Heat up your lasagna better, teach your chef how to cook Salmon and expand your glasses of wine selections.

You could easily pay twice as much for something not as good as that at Bellavista Cafe. Great spot if you want to experience some quality local food and not break the bank. Both were amazing. We could not choose a favorite Started with polenta with truffle & that pic doesn't lie. There was a mountain of fresh truffle on the creamy rich polenta Then transitioned over to the pizzas.... Pumpkin, Gorgonzola and mushrooms for me. The pumpkin replaced the typical white or red sauce and was just the right amount of flavor to complement the toppings Mr chose the 4 cheese and chestnuts and he was totally digging the smoked provelone Both winners & an all around fantastic meal

Known as "LA MIGLIORE PIZZA DI MILANO", this forno a legna (wood fired) pizza is fresh, light, delicious and dreamy. It's an informal setting but perfect for a night our with friends or even a date night over delicious pizza. The only restaurant we visited twice during our Italy trip & we already miss it so much! We came during both lunch and dinner. Both times were really great! Hubby loved the Costoletta alla Milanese (Veal Cutlet) so much that he ordered it both times we dined here. I loved their Gnocchi Bolognese (seasoned so perfectly and the best gnocchi I've ever had!), but I also wanted to try their Ossobucco (Pig's Foot) with Risotto. Both were really good, but the Ossobucco is on the heavier side & can be shared, just FYI. Always got their House Red and asked for olive oil & balsamic for the bread...so delicious! And last, but not least their Panna Cotta was so good! =') I would be a regular here if I lived in Milan! Excellent service, great food and atmosphere.

The crust was deliciously chewy, but our particular pie was quite thin and soupy in the middle. I would recommend checking them out to see what the locals consider as their most "popular" pizza. Milan is better known for their risotto, but if you want to eat pizza, there are multiple Gino Sorbillo restaurants around the city!

Our host recommended this restaurant, and luckily was a short walk from the Airbnb. We arrived a touch before 8 without reservations, and the host requested that we give up the table by 9:30 for another booking. On a Wednesday night (though it was just before Christmas), this place got PACKED, as it should be! The food was exactly what I dreamed authentic italian food would taste like (hint: not Olive Garden) We started off the meal with burrata--basically a mozzarella ball that is gooey in the middle. Absolutely amazing and fresh. I mean, how could it not taste amazing?! Best Menu Item? Seriously, any pasta dish. The pasta carbonara was better than my Italian soon-to-be MIL's carbonara (shhh, don't tell her). Though the portions may look small, they are very rich and satisfying. The fiancé ordered a pork ravioli type of dish, and loved it just as much. The wines are reasonably priced, too! And the servers knew some English to get around the ordering process.

Came here with my friend for dinner one early evening during our trip to Italy earlier this year…read more This place happened to be right across the street from where we were staying, and we figured we ought to try it out. The service was friendly, though the workers didn't really know any English and we didn't exactly know any Italian, so it was a little difficult to order what we wanted, though we managed in the end. With that said, since this pizzeria happens to be in a pretty tourist-heavy area, the pizza itself also happened to be kind of bland. It wasn't out right bad, but it was certainly not what either of us had expected our first pizzas in Italy to taste like. My pizza came (the funghi) with mushrooms, while my friend got the brie, with prosciutto and brie. Wines were good, though, and at least the prices weren't exorbitant. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as the first place you go to for pizza in Milan, but at least it won't break the bank if you do happen to go here.
