Recently opened pub right in Cadorna Square, an excellent position due to its multiple public…read moretransport options. Seating space for about 40/50 people in the ground floor and probably the same downstairs. Beers in display, screens with the beer menu, nice staff. I organized here an aperitivo with other Yelpers so we could speak in English. There was a bit of a misunderstanding since that night the Pub had also an English aperitivo with a teacher and activities in the downstairs space and they thought our reservation was to participate in that one. Luckily, they found us some space upstairs (after some waiting) and we were comfortably seated. What I didn't like was the few food that was brought to us as "aperitivo food", I was not expecting a typical Milanese buffet, but something other than popcorn would have been appreciated. They have dinner options but I didn't get to see the menu. 2 people in our party ordered some food and it looked good (not very English-pub portions, though). Also, I would have appreciated a printed menu with the beers they had, sure the nice waitress did her best to help us pick one based on our preferences but I would have liked to read more about the beer before ordering it. I had a cider (didn't like its taste) and a nice Sierra Nevada, suggested by Yelper Raquel. Prices are high, even if you consider the beer quality, it's central Milan, blah, blah, blah - there's always an excuse not to keep reasonable prices. Anyhow, the atmosphere was OK and our evening was nice (loved meeting and getting to speak with everyone in our party), unfortunately I was expecting more from the place. I might come back, perhaps for one of the many events they organize: live music, comedy shows, etc.

This small sports pub on Naviglio Grande is busy on a game day. The staff do speak English and are quite friendly and efficient. In Italian style, they will give you a nice long time to decide what you would like to eat and/or drink. If you sit outside, plan to pay for your order when it is delivered. On a cool winter's day, it's a good place to warm up inside with a beverage, snack or meal, while checking out the sports memorabilia. They have a lot of sports covered here. Beer on tap is offered by the pint or liter, or order a bottled beer from their 'around the world' selection. There is a full bar offering typical Italian cocktails ('Sprits', 'Negroni', etc. See their menu, located on the clip boards), Irish Coffee, wine, Gin tonics, whiskey, etc. Located right on the corner, at the beginning of the Naviglio Grande, this location gives the outside diner/drinker a great 'people watching' locale and the indoor customer a quick, easy refuge from the heat or cold while taking a break from the crowds or to take in a soccer (football/calcio) game.

When I asked the management why they wouldn't serve me they just become indignant and angry, the manager even insulting me, and still offering no explanation. Unfortunately this isn't an isolated incident as I've had many friends who have had similar experiences. One of my friends (a girl) was yelled at by the manager for taking a beer outside, even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with taking it outside as this is common practice and there were already people drinking outside. He contented that she had no table even though she was seated with us...a group of 6 people. Moreover, he offered no apologies after yelling at her and taking back her beer, forcing her to buy another beer because he had spilled most of the original one while he was berating her. Needless to say we left the bar shortly after. I however made the mistake of going back to meet a friend recently - hence this review. Probably better to avoid for any tourists as there's really nothing going on there. In any event, it's usually frequented by Milanese high schoolers in the evenings and not the best place to watch a football match or anything of the sort, despite its name.
