MUST GET
Sheree Z.

My boyfriend and I went over the weekend and it was so good! He got the steak bahn mi 3 rolls for $11 -steak (11/10) -shrimp (10/10) -nem nuong (8/10) You HAVE TO get their house sauce. ITS A MUST. It's like a warm Cajun sauce 10/10

I've already provided feedback while I was in the store during soft opening but also adding on yelp. I ordered the beef bun thit nuong and was expecting a char in the meat for flavor. bun thit nuong has to have a char, its what the dish is named after..."grilled meat noodles" I got fish sauce and their special house nem sauce with crab. I was also expecting some sort of flavor but the fish sauce was too Americanized for me. I liked their nem special sauce though so next time I would stick to the nem sauce. Service was great, they visit every table to ask for feedback so I shared. I hope they make updates for my next visit.

Shrimp Bowl with Noodles

We dropped by on a Friday evening. NEM is a Chipotle style build your own meal but with Vietnamese food. You pick noodle, fried rice, sandwich bread, or spring roll paper. You then pick your protein with chicken, beef, or pork. I was not sure if they had tofu. You then add your vegetables. The atmosphere is fast casual. The service was great and the staff was very knowledgeable. My wife is Vietnamese and she thought her bowl was very tasty. Of course, this is a modern take on traditional Vietnamese food. My spring rolls with grilled chicken were delicious. We will definitely come back again.

Nem Spring Roll Bar is an absolute gem! Every bite of their spring rolls bursts with freshness and perfectly balanced flavors. The wrappers are crisped to perfection, and the fillings--whether it's shrimp, pork, or tofu--are always seasoned just right. Their house-made sauces take everything to the next level (seriously, don't skip the peanut or crab sauce ). The presentation is beautiful, the ingredients are top-notch, and the vibe of the place makes the whole experience even better. If you're a spring roll lover--or even if you're not yet--Nem is a must-visit. I'll be coming back again and again! As far for cost ...The cost for all 3 was 11 dollars with tip and tax was about 17 because I ordered extra sauces. So not bad to be honest because of the amount of items you can stuff it with.

I really enjoyed this place. Something different. Think noodle or rice build your own bowl. I got the fried rice with an added fried egg $1 up charge. It was on the pricey side but there was a lot of meat. I got half steak, half shrimp. Both were equally good. I enjoyed the house sauce but wish I would have tried a couple of their sauces. Vinny helped me today and he was outstanding. The lady cooking served it up quickly and my eggs were perfect.

one of a kind build your own vermicelli/spring roll restaurant!!! loved the sauces (house sauce with crab, peanut sauce, fish sauce all had great flavor), fresh ingredients, and the service was amazing! the guy who helped us gave us great recommendations (flat eggrolls) and made our bowls with a lot of love and freshly prepared materials! definitely recommend to anyone who wants a casual, light meal!

Very casual and friendly service. The place is small, clean and simple. The food is like a Vietnamese Chipotle! You go through the line putting together what you want...and there's vegan options! Food was fresh and delicious!

Ok, I actually drive pretty far for this place. I love their spring rolls!! Highly recommend adding truffle pate. And the truffle soy sauce and house sauce are fire!!! The managers here are so nice. I'm already a regular and I live an hour away.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I never write reviews on here anymore but I've eaten at over 500 restaurants in DFW and my girlfriend is Vietnamese. The spring rolls here are STUPID good. Every ingredient tastes like it was prepared with care and diligence and then combined together for an exquisite flavor profile. They also have diet Mexican soda which is rare. I love that. Too top it all off? 2 of the owners are WORKING in store. One in the kitchen, one on the prep line. Idk how long that will last - but if you're a real foodie like me - then you know that's a holy grail level find for delicious results. Get the pork. Get the peanut sauce. Thank me later. Cheers

Shrimp Spring Rolls (3)

The concept is cool, but the experience was just okay. It was $11 for three rolls, but each roll with shrimp was an extra dollar -- so $15 total for one order. For that price, I expected them to be a little more generous with the fillings. I kept having to ask for more of things, and even when I asked for extra lettuce, the guy literally added two small pieces and that was it. At that point, I just gave up. The sauces were fine, nothing special. Overall, not terrible, but definitely not worth the price.

The ambiance tries to give you a fun Asian street food feel, minus the gravel and actual cars zooming by. I also loved that they have games you can grab and play at the table while you wait. We grabbed an UNO deck and had fun with that. We wanted to try a variety of things without ordering so much that we wouldn't finish it, and honestly, every single item we tried was delicious. They did a great job staying true to the traditional flavors and recipes. The nasi lemak was SO good! It has such a unique flavor that I know isn't for everyone, but they did it really well. Definitely one of my favorites from the meal. Our server was also wonderful. She asked about food restrictions, and one of our dishes accidentally came out with nuts. She immediately brought us a replacement and apologized before we even noticed. That kind of attention to detail and care really stood out. Definitely coming back to try more items. We really enjoyed our meal!

As someone who loves Mexican and Vietnamese food, I found my palette to be quite confused at this place but I really loved the collaboration and the thought out process you can tell they had when they put the menu together--what might work? It was really busy on an early Friday night which was really great to see, and there was plenty of parking outside. Staff was friendly and really attentive! They were all helping eachother out and still was able to coordinate super well. We were only able to try the phoritto and phozole before getting full, I will say the phoritto is exactly how you would expect it to taste, pho inside a beautifully fried tortilla burrito. It tasted almost identical to pho and with the side of broth which I appreciated, I liked this dish! It was inventive but also paid homage to pho. On the other hand I personally was not a fan of the phozole, I love pozole and pho separately but I couldn't enjoy them together. I think the pozole was cooked really well and was flavorful, I liked the spicy sauce that came for the meat, but I would probably try something else if I returned. In general I really see and feel the love of this restaurant and commend Cris and John for collaborating flavors that are very different! It's awesome to see!

The Larb Gai was served with a side of crispy pork rind (which I've never had with this dish before, but it worked) + napa cabbage, all of which made for a light but filling meal, with a nice amount of tartness, spice, and crunch. The Signature Krapow was hearty and robust with flavor, and it wasn't off-puttingly sweet, as was the case with others I've tried. Needless to say, happy to found this just in our backyard. Service: No complaints! We were seated immediately upon walking in, and our orders were taken and food arrived promptly. Virtually no wait on a Friday afternoon. The Pad See Iew was greasy and very plating was unappetizing. The red curry did not have any depth and no heat, even though we asked for a little spice. I did take the leftover curry home though and added ground ginger, cayenne pepper and a handful of chopped cilantro and it was leveled up! We were pleasantly surprised by how crispy the chicken was; it had a really nice flavor. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which were super crunchy and delicious, and a side of sweet potato waffle fries. While the sweet potato waffle fries tasted amazing, the portion was pretty disappointing; we got about 10 fries total to share between two people. We originally wanted to order the K-Meal To-Go for 4-6 people, as we thought it was good value for money, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. They only had the large K-Box To-Go available, which costs around $90. We were told the K-Meals are not available on Fridays so they "don't lose money." If that's the case, then that's terrible marketing. Overall, the chicken and sides were great. We just think the sweet potato waffle fries portion should be larger for the price.

I really wanted to love this place…read more After having a great experience during happy hour, I came back for dinner with a friend expecting the same level of service. During my first visit (dining at the bar), the bartender was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely made a bad day feel a little better. Unfortunately, the dinner experience was almost the complete opposite. My friend and I came in for an early Friday dinner around 4:45 PM, hoping to beat the crowds and enjoy a little more of their happy hour. The restaurant was far from busy when we arrived, which made what happened next even more frustrating. After being seated, my friend hadn't arrived yet, so I was sitting alone. Not once did anyone stop by to ask if I wanted something to drink--not even water. I could see several servers gathered toward the back near the kitchen/restroom area, but there seemed to be very little attention being paid to the handful of guests actually dining. Once my friend arrived, we STILL waited another 20 minutes just to get water. From there, the service continued to be painfully slow and inattentive. Every time we wanted to order something, ask a question, or simply get some attention, it felt like we were waiting 20+ minutes for someone to come back to the table. At one point, I literally got up myself and grabbed a water carafe because we had been sitting without water for so long. I have dined at plenty of restaurants with slower service, but I have never had to get up and serve myself water because our table was being completely overlooked. There was also some confusion with the menu. We ordered an item of the specials that was described to us as a roll, so naturally we were expecting a roll. What arrived was essentially sashimi. Had it been explained accurately, we would have made a different decision given my friend is pregnant and didn't want raw fish. The biggest issue for me is that dining out isn't just about the food. The experience matters. You shouldn't have to spend your dinner trying to flag down your server, wondering when someone will check on you, or getting up to refill your own water. Because the restaurant wasn't even busy yet, the extended wait times were especially difficult to understand. I'm giving this 2 stars, although honestly, the dinner experience alone would have been a 1-star visit for me. The reason I'm giving that extra star is entirely because of my first experience and, specifically, the bartender who was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. That first experience is the only thing that saved this review from being a 1-star rating. Unfortunately, the dinner service left me spending way too much time in the restaurant--not because I was enjoying the experience, but because we were constantly waiting and couldn't even grab the check to get out of there.
