I placed an order today 6 subs for a retirement party. Two of the sandwiches were supposed to be tuna. I looked thru the tray and I didn't see any tuna. I called them asking for the missing tuna the man who made them wasnt there at the moment and the had to call me back. Needless to say 5 sandwiches cost was $60 today I added a sandwich and tge price went up $15. so now the total was $75. He soon returned my call and said he gave me Italian subs instead of the tuna. my question to him I paid for tuna why didn't I get it. then he asked if I still had the Italian and if not o well. This review based on Meatball hero and Burger Only. I'm from NYC so local pizza is part of routine culture. Been to many different local pizza joints and this place is by far the worst. I had pizza here before and it was just average joe Pizza. The owner seems to be grumpy sometimes but I really didn't care since it wasn't a serviced based joint. However, few weeks ago I ordered meatball hero w.pepper and burger w.fries. Meatball had no flaver, tasted flat, green pepper was undercooked. Burger was plain, tasteless, fries were soggy and disgusting. It is difficult to make bad burgers or Meatball unless you really give a xxxx about what you cook. I don't usually get unhappy after eating a meal but this place will make you regret that you ever came here. read more

Updating my review for Neil's and was pleasantly surprised. Went on April 15th for a free large pizza they were giving away to the first 25 people from 4-6pm it was in conjunction with the Little Ferry Police paying for the pizza during the pandemic for the community. I have to admit the pizza was good with nice cheese and crisp thin crust pizza. They were organized and got my pizza in less than 2 minutes because they knew they would be busy so they prepared the pizza ahead of time and handed out to everyone as they came. Wish Zio did that I waited like half an hour for my free pizza there. Good job they must have stepped their game up since I was last there. I would buy the pizza just not meatballs lol. There pizza is so good. Always the right amount of cheese and there sauce has good flavor. Ordered a pepperoni and mushrooms & sausage and onion. Both were very good. And have to give them extra props for the last minute delivery. They closed at 11. And I put the order in at 10:40pm. Most places would have not accepted it so late for delivery. But they did with no problem. Ordered two sodas with it. Only one came. After 11. The driver went back to get another soda. My wife and I have been ordering from them for about 25 years. This one time my wife ordered a pizza for delivery and the delivery person did not have enough change so my wife said next time we order, we will compromise the difference. I wanted to get a slice or two quick and wow.... is this really considered pizza? I should've just waited to get a decent meal. This place was in business awhile now but never tried it tillthat day. I tried putting salt on my pizza trying to fix it, now who puts salt on pizza? Um... I wanted to eat it by fixing it but nope. Slices were soggy from start, can't taste the sauce, cheese seemed old or hmmm fat free or who knows. So sooogggyyy I had to use a fork and knife to try to work on each slice. After a visit to the post office, my wife and I were a little hungry. We saw this place and decided to try them out... Here's what I think... 1. I don't care that they are San Francisco 49er fans (pictures and posters everywhere), the place needs a good cleaning. They have a hockey stick on the wall that has about a 2in coating of dust on it. Do you know how disgusting that is? 2. I don't know how old the graded cheese you put on your pizza is, but I think that needs to be kept refrigerated especially on a hot day. 3. It's never a good sign when you want to go grab a soda out of the fridge and there's boxes of motor oil on the floor! Are you going to give me an oil change if I buy a pie? Get rid of it, it's a pizzeria not a auto shop. Food: Overall... The pizza is not bad. It is what it is. The garlic knots in my opinion stink! It's like left over dough that they just sprinkled garlic powder on. When you bite into it, it's all plain and doesn't have a good taste to it. Wow, this place is in SERIOUS need of a face lift!! I'm not sure how I even ate here but I gave it a try. I ordered 2 plain slices that were mediocre. The staff seems absent minded and did not really care what was going on. The whole time I was eating, I kept staring at the hundreds of dusty (actually, dusty doesn't even begin to describe it) pictures and "flare" on the walls. If this place did an extreme cleaning and dared to put a fresh coat of paint of the walls, I'm sure they would get more customers. C'mon guys, some Clorox will do you wonders. While I was working I ordered a pie of pizza and a meatball sub for my 10 year old and dad online. I called a few hours later to check how the food was and my son said the sub tasted "old" therefore he did not eat it. I called to express my concerns and the man started yelling at me and saying it was not old and don't say that to me and I'm being unreasonable. WOW is all I have to say! Coming from a big italian family..i know food...and it doesnt get much better than this. This is a review on just hot subs and calzones. How people give this place 3 stars is unbelievable to me. This is...hands down...the best pizzeria in the area. The sandwich...veal parm...is placed on great bread and cooked to perfection. The calzone is the same price as any local pizzeria and stuffed with tons of meat. On top of this all...i called for delivery at 1030 on a Thursday and they were pleased to take my order. This was the worst pizza I've ever seen and eaten. The pizza was soggy, the "margherita" pie was basically old, colorless tomatoes and all of the cheese was on one side of the pizza when they delivered it. Tossed salad is also a great description because it looks like something that was tossed on the floor and picked up. Olives had white spots on them and the lettuce was not fresh at all.
