Hi again Yelpers, It's July 18, 2020 and this pizza seems to have only gotten worse. Ordered a half buffalo, half BBQ chicken deep dish pizza. What we got was a not fully cooked, doughy, ordinary pie that just had thick crust on the bottom. The guy on the phone when I ordered was nice and polite so that is a plus. We called back to let them know that our deep dish pie was not cooked (refer to photos) and the man on the phone asked what we would like to do. My husband said we didn't want our money back or a new pie, we just wanted to let them know they sent us raw dough that wasn't edible unless we cook it ourselves. He just said okay and sorry about that and that was it. As a business owner, I don't think I would have just left it at that. It made us uncomfortable to suggest a refund or anything else to be honest. Even the cheese on top of half the pizza wasn't melted all the way. What is going on over there?? lol Sadly, my memory of what used to be a delicious slice from Mark's is just that, a distant memory. Their deep dish Buffalo chicken slice used to have yummy red sauce, tons of small chunks of chicken all over, cheese, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese dressing. The slice was SO big that it would take up your entire plate and one slice would definitely fill you right up. Now, their slices are tiny and overall so meh compared to what they used to be... no red sauce... big cubes of dry chicken cutlet... the dough isn't even the same. I'm not sure if this drastic change in the kind of pizza they used to serve is due to new ownership or something, but I wish they would go back to the old and MUCH better recipe. Ordered through seamless and expected a delivery at 3:10. Around 3:30 i called the restaurant 3x with no answer - an automated message kept coming on the line saying to enter an access code. Instead i contacted seamless who let me know that the food wasn't yet made and would take an additional 20 minutes. I asked to cancel as it wasn't yet made and seamless cancelled my order. About an hour later the driver calls me and says he's been waiting for me downstairs and i let him know i had canceled the order about an hour ago and they should have been notified by seamless. Around 15 minutes after the owner of the restaurant called me to tell me that i shouldn't have canceled, i wasted their food, why didn't i call them, etc. very rude and unprofessional. They need to get it together. read more

This Pizzeria is the worst Pizza place in Bergen County. The pies are over priced. You order a pie with extra cheese, and they give you a pie that was sitting around that did not sell. they reheat it. They lied to me, they said there was extra cheese and the pie did not have extra cheese. I called to complain and the person was rude to me and refused to take pie back. Their calzones are also over priced had more bread than meat. If you use a debit card or credit card you will pay more for your order. Because they add on a charge for credit card or debit card usage. Everytime I went in there they are empty so it goes to show that they are not a good place to patronize. Do not go to this pizzeria they will rip you off. There is a Dominos up the block, go there at least pie is fresh. read more

This pizzeria was recommended to me by another Yelper, and since pizza is my favorite food, I decided to take his advice. First off, trying to find parking on Main Street during the week, at lunch, will be difficult. Your best bet is to park on a side street or in a customer lot and walk. But is Mark's worth the trip? Only if you work or live nearby. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. The places that I frequent are much better. However, the texture of the Sicilian slice is reminiscent of Pizza Hut Pan Pizza. For me, that's a good thing, not authentic, but still, it's a nice touch. The regular slice is too thick for my liking but the sauce and cheese pair well. A regular slice, a Sicilian, and a can of soda will cost you $6. At that price, you'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper option. But it ain't healthy... read more

I picked up the chocolate cake and payed for it, when I sat down to eat the cake I noticed their was MOLD on my dessert. I was seriously disgusted, I'm glad I was always one to look at my food before putting it inside my mouth. Imagine if I didn't ? And just ate it? The harm that could've done to my stomach. This is seriously INTOLERABLE, this is a ZERO TOLERANCE. What I will say is that they gave me my refund back, but this is a serious health hazard! I'll never be eating HERE ever again. The quality is very consistent, the salad is fresh and very flavorful, the portion is very satisfying, the free bread comes with salad is also very good, too. They are also very flexible, they always let us change the fried chicken on the salad to grilled chicken. The recent delivery man is also very polite, too. I have been a patron of Mark's Pizza for years and have never had the experience that I literally just had. I understand that Mark's is under new ownership and that would explain the disgusting pizza that they now have...but I digress, this review is about an ordering experience and not the pizza. At any rate, my mother calls to order a chicken cutlet sandwich...simple right..chicken cutlet, fresh motz, and mayo...the sandwich is delivered and it is the wrong sandwich. I call to inform that the wrong order was sent and was told the sandwich would be remade and sent out, I even asked of they wanted to take the wrong one back and was told "no" so I ended up giving it to my mother, no problem. After waiting about a hour for my correct sandwich, my mother calls to find out what is taking so long and I overhear her going over the order again...I ask if they are not going to sent my sandwich and she tells me "no" so I get on the phone all the be told that the order was confirmed and what was asked for was delivered. I inform the gentlemen that the order that was "confirmed" was not what was asked for ,being as though I was standing right in the room and heard what was ordered. So at this point I am hungry and without food because they told me that they would resend the sandwich so I gave the other away. I inform the gentlemen on the phone of this and he tells me he is going to put me on hold and speak with the manager to see what can be done. After holding he comes back and tells me that there isnt anything that can be done because what was ordered was delivered. Which is was not. I should have been told that when I called back if that was the case. Mark's pizza had gone substantially down hill and have lost a lifelong customer...I dont recommend the establishment under the new ownership. I went in for a slice and the guy behind the counter was extremely rude. I told him he should wash his hands after he gave me my change because it isn't sanitary to touch money and then continue touching the dough. He started getting loud with me and cursing. When I simply was giving him advice being as I was about to consume there food and was instantly turned off. We're in North Jersey and we expect our Italian to be GOOD! I've had pizza and pasta dishes at Mark's, and haven't been impressed by any of them. The sauce is very tomato-y (which is good) but lacks any depth of flavor (obviously bad). The pastas have been slightly overcooked each time I've gotten them, which seems to be a novice error. If you decide to check out Mark's and are going to take out, make sure you call ahead! Service is extremely slow. I will say, however, that there are only a couple pizza joints in the Main Street area, and Mark's is the best I've found so far. The staff is quite nice as well. read more

Decided to order from a new pizza delivery place via GrubHub and chose Mark's based on the ratings. Probably a bit of a mistake, this review is definitely in two sections. Firstly the food, it was ok, decent average tasting pizza, and chicken parm, nothing to blow you away but not bad either. The problem was that the delivery guy calling from down the street asking where we were and then not understanding when my husband told him about 20 times to turn right and come a few doors down and that he would be outside to meet him. Eventually after a call to the company to find out why he didn't understand simple instructions like that and my husband barefooted outside... he eventually showed up having walked down the street, basically resulting in the food having to go into the microwave to warm up. Another problem was that my deep dish pizza with meatballs had a change of clothes and became deep dish with chicken parm... Not bad, but it isn't what I ordered. This place is a scam. We called and asked for a plain deep dish. We got switched to three different people because apparently no one in that shop knows what a deep dish is. The guy on the phone told us a plain deep dish would be $16 and then changed it to $19. The pizza came when they estimated except when we opened the box it was a regular plain pizza. We called the store back to fix the discrepancy but instead of an understanding owner we were called liars and told we didn't know what pizza is, and then hung up on. I would warn you guys to check your receipt but the terrible customer service won't give you your money back so better play it safe and sorry and not order here at all. read more

Huge slices for around $3. Really enjoyed the crust and flavor. Nice ambiance inside and a large menu that should satisfy anyone: pasta, great apps, deep dish and flat bread pizzas, and more. There are 2 TVs in the restaurant. Delicious cannoli!!! This would be a nice place to sit inside and eat with your family. We just tried a slice to go, but we were pleased with it. Tried this place out now that I just moved to the area. I'm a fan. Little old school pizza joint right on Main St. Pizza is a good sauce/cheese/crust ratio and they do a nice crust too with that perfect crunch. This has officially become my goto spot for lunch and dinner. My favorite meal is the Blackened Chicken & Shrimp over romaine lettuce with ceasar; which is always incredible. Let me warn you, if you can't take spice then this one is definitely not for you. It's not jalapeño hot but still has a robust amount of heat to please a spicy food lover's taste buds. Today, I tried the Roast Beef Club, and boy oh boy when I tell you amazing; that's not even a strong enough word to explain how phenomenal this sandwhich was. I suggest getting a little bacon on it too, because its well worrh it and really added the perfect amount of flavor. Another thing I've noticed is the staff always treats every one who comes in well and makes them feel welcomed. Very disappointing "restaurant" to eat at for lunch. My friends and I went there to grab some pizza and fries and the disco fries took about 15 minutes and were disgusting. Gravy wasn't even gravy and the cheese looked like someone ripped it up and slapped it on.The pizza looked as if it was sitting there since morning and one slice even contained a hair which was NOT from either one our own heads.. very disappointed in this place, even upon returning the disco fries dish there was no apology and my friend didn't receive her money back. Hello! So my experience was extremely horrible!! I ordered a medium pizza half buffalo chicken and and other half plain for 15$. After waiting for an hr for delivery when we are literally 2 blocks away I called to see where my order was and they answered "sorry we're busy the driver will be there in 5 minutes" so I waited for 30 more mins just for them to come and bring me what they call pizza! They were not planning to refund me at all just brought a litter free soda. I tried to give them a break but when me and my coworkers opened the pizza it was the last straw . You can see in the picture for yourself. Still we tried a slice each to see at least what it tasted like because we were starving at that point, but let me tell you it tasted even worse then it looked. The chicken tasted like a sponge and the sauce tasted spoiled. When I called and asked for a refund they said that "it's against their policy". Called to place pick up order and was given an attitude when i asked for the prices and specials. Arrived to pick my order and no one knew that there even was an order. Finally they found my food and then I was changed more than I thought it was going to be. I simply asked about the price and they got very rude with me.
