We hired Cornerstone Construction and Remodeling to build a mudroom on the front of the house and…read moreto finish the attic. I will say Stephen Hale is an excellent salesman. Promises to have excellent work and that the work will be done correctly. However, the workmanship overall is not good, several issues had to be resolved. Stephen (if he comes) shows up on site for maybe 30 mins at the beginning of the day. Stephen doesn't check any of the work to ensure its up to code or if he does, he doesn't know the code and will cause rework later. I requested all work to be permitted at the beginning of the project. After questioning when the inspector was coming, his workers said Stephen was dealing with that. Stephen never filed for the permitting until I told him it had to be done. Work had to be paused for a month while waiting for inspector to come to the house. Cracks in grout from install after 2 months. I found out there was no Schluter or hardy board under the tile and it was put directly onto plywood. After 3 attempts to repair by just adding more grout into the cracks and caulking into the grout, I complained enough that he replaced it with LVP. They poured a concrete pad right before a frost and mounted the split unit condenser on it 2 days after pouring. I asked Stephen to fix this and his response was "it's a useable pad". I was so feed up with the excuses and the terrible workmanship that I didn't even want him to come back. Several other items had to be fixed, mounting the split units within 2 inches from the ceiling, not cleaning the walls before painting, stripped screws, and overall just terrible finishing work. The other issue I had was that they used my tools and shop vac while working on the projects without consent. Completely unprofessional. Stephen Hale offers a good price but the headaches and numerous failed inspections were a nightmare. Spend a little more and avoid the problems.

Mike came out to check it out and give us a quote. He was super professional and gave us a quote on the spot. He had books for us to check out all our different options for shutters and railings, and said for bigger jobs, you can go to the showroom to check out materials. I personally loved the convenience of sitting on my front porch and picking everything out! He was patient and let us flip through the books and never once made us feel like he was in a rush. We put a deposit down on the spot. Our ability to do the project was dependent on another contractor doing stone work on our porch first. Fiderio was great about scheduling around them and getting the work done quickly once the stone work project was complete. They did their work fast and cleaned up without a trace. The prices are fair (let's be honest, home improvement projects are never cheap!) and the service and quality of workmanship is fantastic! I haven't even received my invoice for final payment, and I'm already eyeing my back deck for replacement....when I'm ready, I will definitely call Fiderio!

They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up and completed the project quickly as scheduled. From the office staff such as Marie and Margaretanne, Paul, Scott, and I wish I could remember, the "guys" names, I could honestly say they are all aboard and united in working together as a team to provide a valuable service to their customers, no matter how large or small the job.

Dzmitry is knowledgable, responsive, kind, and consultative. Similar to my fellow Yelpsters - we had 3 quotes and Dzmitry offered the best price with the highest degree of confidence. Not only did we have our entire house sided but his team also built a new portico on the front of the house and replaced gutters & gutter guards. The speed at which our project was completed was a huge surprise. The team were able start the week after we booked the job and, for the most part, they were done siding the house and with the portico inside of a week. His team is very clean - no mess was left behind each day. The brand of materials that D&D use is the same as many competitors and I am confident that my house will look as good as it does today for years to come.
