After having parked nearby, we explored the spot. One side was where you would order food and drinks (no seating on this side). The other side had tables and chairs, including a full bar, and a large outdoor area - it was nice being outdoors when the sun was not hot (although I did see umbrellas and many covered areas out there in the back). Our event had a DJ as well. The overall layout of the place was nice, where I would revisit the business and maybe have my own party. This review is more for the carryout side. At the time, we were not trying to get a full meal, just something to snack on. I saw they had several patties available and when asked what they had, there were many choices. I don't remember all the choices they mentioned, but I do remember these: Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Goat and Mutton. I got a Chicken Patty and a Mutton Patty - never tried either before my visit here. For drink, I got a Ting and Mango Passion juice (sold in a bottle). The Mango Passion juice cost a lot more than each of the other items I got. When we got our order, the patties were in a different bag, but the employee who was on the bar side couldn't tell us which was which. It was a bit of confusion, and we had to determine which was which for ourselves (I was not a fan of that). Both patties ended up being good. I had the Chicken and another in my group had the Mutton. I love Ting - it is one of my favorites. It's a drink flavored with both grapefruit juice and cane sugar. I got a chance to taste a little of the Mango Passion juice and could taste both flavors in the drink. Not sure I would pay that cost again though. Their seasoning game is second to none and the way they cook their curry down tells me that the chef takes pride in every meal he or she prepares. The cabbage was delicious on its own and with the curry potatoes mixed in ( which always gives the curry dishes an extra umph to me ) the meal reached the perfection plateau !!! When I went in, I could see that they had plenty of stickers on the floor for social distancing, though it wasn't crowded. I'm glad it wasn't just sitting on the counter getting cold, because it would've been ice! I was also pleased to see that they set aside the three fried dumplings I had ordered so they wouldn't get claimed. I got the Teriyaki Jerk Chicken platter, which isn't on the menu (BBQ Jerk Chicken is on there though). I was intrigued, so I gave it a shot. I wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was, but that's a good thing! I expected the sweetness to take over, but it was a great balance in my opinion! The texture of the chicken was on point too. I have no complaints about the rice & peas, steamed cabbage and corn bread (the tiny tiny piece it was, lol). The plantain could've been fried just a little longer, but it still tasted great. I wanted festival, but the fried dumplings got the job done! From what I can tell, this place is improving as time progresses, and I'm looking forward to trying other things! Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

It was my first time coming on an afternoon, and they happen to be out of a couple of the things that we were really excited about (i.e. doubles) and so my sister tried to make a veggie platter. He asked what she would like in it and he responded "that's not a veggie" and proceeded to say other snarky comments that got increasingly inflammatory. She called him out for being rude and he actually said to me "I feel bad for what you have to deal with, you two can't be close." The embarrassment I had was immeasurable and I felt so bad for being so excited for her to experience that. It doesn't matter how delicious food is anywhere, but if the ones in charge are disrespectful, there's a moral issue. They also forgot my side of pumpkin that we paid for. Take this information as you will, but if you do go, my recommendation is to avoid talking with them as much as possible and try online ordering/pickup or delivery. It's really unfortunate.
