Ice cream was great, as it's always been. I've been coming here for years and I can honestly say the place is filthy now. Tables are not clean, the water in the restroom to wash your hands stinks like sewer. The huge windows at the booth were we sat had been smeared with old dried up ice cream and fingerprints. We asked nicely for employees to wipe down the table we were sitting at because there was melted ice cream on the table and they looked at me as if I was asking for too much. This place has honestly become super dirty not sanitary at all, floors smelled as if they mopped with a dirty mop. I don't know if I'll be coming here again. read more

What an atrocious experience. I came in remembering that back in the day this place was really sought after for ice cream rolls. I was excited to bring my boyfriend but WOW. There was extremely unfriendly staff behind the counter and register. The man behind the counter had an attitude and kept asking "anything else" super annoyed. We ordered 2 items for $16 but was told there's a $20 minimum for card charges. We honestly just left and how unwelcoming the staff felt. Visited this Thai rolled ice cream place on National Ice cream day. Here was my experience: Food: 4/5. Good selection of flavors and we chose the Coffee Paradise. What I look for in a Thai Rolled ice cream is the texture and rolling technique. The texture was on point and ice cream was super creamy - just how I like it. The technique was ok but I wish it was rolled more tightly. I think the pad they rolled on was slightly too cold and my ice cream was slightly harder than I preferred, but it was good otherwise. The coffee flavor was there and was just right in terms of sweetness. A unique feature about this place is that you can choose what toppings you want to put on it, and you can choose however many you'd like. Service: quick and friendly, 4/5. I usually have to wait a while at rolled ice cream places, but they were fast here! The shop has seats inside and outside so that you have the options (which is great during the pandemic). This place made me sick. Red flag immediately when the register said $20 minimum for using card. Not sure where this place thinks it is, or what year it is, but people hardly carry cash post COVID. Our order was $17, but they wouldn't let us tip the remaining $3 , so against our better judgement we just paid the remainder in "extra charges". The manager had kind of a nasty attitude about it too. My ice cream had an initial 'extra charge' of 50¢ to mix in Oreo, but I think they literally added a single cookie. It was hardly present lol. Then they just ask you what toppings you want at the end ?? I got Oreos on top and could have added any additional toppings I wanted for free? Why charge for add ins at all? Such a disorganized mess. I did notice the consistency was different from when I had it before pre corona. The service is great but I could tell they were new to their job. Personally love the key lime and Thai tea flavors. I was bummed to see the Mangonada one was gone, but they had a new taro flavor that with the coconut topping was really good. Wow. Came in on a Saturday evening 8 pm. Fairly empty. No o e greeted us. Sour faced girl with the Tupac shirt on, the receipt said Sheila came over while We were trying to look at the menu from the wrong side and she snapped that we had to order at the other window. Okay went to this place and they have 2 menus that you can spot and can make ordering a bit confusing. Fortunately the cashier was so nice to explain to me. Overall this place is clean but can be a tad bit cleaner (maybe why they have a B) but the ice cream is good at a real good reasonable price. Its interesting to watch them do it and i love that the toppings are free. There are no distinct sign over the store except in front of the register that there's a $20 minimum if you pay by credit/debit card. I got the red matcha (which is just matcha, with Oreo bits... not sure why it's called "red"?!) - and then topped it off with blueberries and mochi. Good portions for the regular sized - enough to split between two people. The only downside is that you can only use credit card for purchases of $20, so have cash handy otherwise. The Ice Cream Rolls hype is real. Personally I have never been a fan of the concept: no sampling, no variety, takes forever, overpriced and no portion control. All of the Ice Cream Rolls here are $6.50 each. Definitely on the higher side, but there is more work involved since these are made to order. It looks rather difficult. So anyways, my cousin gets a Coffee Paradise because he loves coffee and tops it with caramel, oreos and whip cream. I am a sucker for anything limited edition, so I ended up getting the Horchata topped with strawberries, wafer stick and condense milk. My cousin and I both agreed that we would have been happier with normal ice cream. To their credit, I liked the flavor of the horchata but it's a lot of ice cream and all one flavor makes it very overbearing to finish. It's just not my cup of tea, but if you are into ice cream rolls, at least I can say the flavors are decent and toppings are unlimited. Rounding up my review (from 3.5 to 4 stars) for extra friendly service from the girl getting our toppings.
