Arrived early and did a great job at an honest price. I'm going to be using this service for all my car repair needs moving forward. Great work, Matt! read more

I had a good experience with need a brake. He was able to come at an earlier time and install a hitch in my new car in less than one hour. The price seemed just right for the amount of work. read more

Matt was on time and a great dude to meet. I needed my a/c recharged and it didn't take this gentleman 5 minutes to complete the job and let me know my oil was low. I will be doing business with him soon again. Thanks Matt. read more

Let me start by saying that having someone you trust to work on your vehicles is extremely important to me. I have been burned more than once by unscrupulous shops, so finding someone as reputable as Matt has been awesome. Matt has performed brake jobs on all of our vehicles as well as other jobs such as replacing a window regulator motor and A/C work. Every time I call to schedule an appointment, he either answers or returns my call within a very short period of time. If he is in the middle of something and can't talk, he will send me a text explaining that he will call as soon as he is able. That alone is worth a lot. He also will take the time to explain the repair, how long it will probably take, and gives an accurate estimate of the cost. His rates are competitive and often less than an actual shop. You also can't beat the convenience of having him come to you rather than having to drive across town and either drop off your vehicle or sit there and wait a ridiculous amount of time while your vehicle is worked on. I have and will continue to recommend Need a Brake to anyone who needs a reliable brake service and mechanic. read more

Matt is the DUDE. I needed a front brake and rotor swap to be done in a timely manner due to a road trip. Matt was able to fit me in and the prices are awesome. If you need a brake guy, look no further. read more

My experience with this company was nothing short of amazing. I needed some brake work done on a vehicle that was newly out of warranty... I'm also new to the area so I didn't have any experience with local mechanics. The reviews for Needabrake were very good, but I still got phone bids from 3 other highly reviewed shops in town. In the interest of time and convenience, I went with Needabrake. Matt was able to work me in the next day, came to my home, quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it (on my driveway) in minutes, and charged hundreds less than anyone else I called. He was a really good guy to talk to as well. Rarely do you get someone who is honest, fast, knowledgeable, skilled, AND cheap. I'm happy to report that I have found my local mechanic. Thanks Matt! read more

Matt was amazing!!!! He came the same day and even worked through the pouring rain! It was very affordable and we will always be going back to Matt. Great local mechanic read more

Great service! They come to you! I needed my brakes changed. Matt came out and replaced them for a much more affordable price than competitors! They also do other car repairs! read more

I was promised a refund and have yet to see it, two months later. Will not respond to me or BBB in timely manner and even had me sit at home waiting for them to show up all day, but forgot about me, twice. They're horrible, but pretend it's your problem. read more

Had an oil pressure sensor code. Called this guy on a Thursday and he said he would come the following day at noon. I called off of work so I could get this situation handled. The following morning I had an early appointment and went to it. On the way back he texted to see if he could get in earlier than noon. No hesitation or signs he couldn't or wouldn't do the job. I said I was on my way back and could meet him at noon. Then I waited until after 1 when he finally showed up. Popped the hood, then out of the blue he said he can't work on my vehicle because the bolts would be too hot and could possibly strip. That was never discussed when making the appointment. Not once was I informed not to drive my vehicle for an entire day before it could be worked on. He said he would follow up with the soonest time he could get it. Didn't hear back from him. I reached out and asked when he could come back and it appears as though I've been ghosted. So I lost quite a bit of money taking off work for this, didn't get anything fixed and wasted all kinds of time. Feels very shady and unprofessional to me. Even a text stating he couldn't do the job or it was out of his depth would be appreciated. read more

Came out on time, performed a scan for me to help diagnose the problem. Even though he couldnt fix the problem he gave some good advice and didnt even charge me. I will definitely call agin if/when I need another repair. read more

Top notch. Convenient. Affordable. Great communication. They do everything in your driveway. We will be using them for everything!

My brakes had been acting up and this mobile service helped me out so quick! My scheduled appointment was at 1:00PM and he ended up coming at 10:30 AM and was out of here by 11:00! Quick and fixed them right away at a great price. Was nice and heard my concerns and showed me what they used to look like. Just test drove and my car is good as new. :D Great service and thank you! read more

Needed rear brakes and rotors replaced. Extremely fair pricing. Better than most local garages, where you have no idea who will actually do the work. The owner is very professional and responsive. He stopped by my house while I was out of town, and performed the work. He was very courteous to my wife and father in law. Zero issues with car since, which was not the case for my past experiences with local garages after a break change. I will definitely come back to him for other issues in the future. Highly recommend him to my fellow neighbors in Cedar Park or nearby areas. read more

Matt was very courteous while here, but left the job incomplete on our vehicle. He was to come back two weeks ago, but will not return our calls. Unable to drive our vehicle as a result. Would love to give him a good rating, but here we sit waiting... 9/3 Update - Matt has contacted us with profuse apologies, and we look forward to completion by Wednesday, 9/9. We hope to change our rating to reflect the work Matt has done for us. read more

Matt was very nice. He arrived right on time and did a great job on my brakes. He did not try to sell me anything extra. He also checked out my car for me to see if there were any other issues which was much appreciated! I will call him again if I need any other work done. read more

"Need a Brake" (Matthew) was quick to reply to my initial inquiry. Unlike several other providers of mobile brake services they did not hesitate to affirm their willingness and ability to assist with a relatively simple brake replacement job. Seems many of these providers won't work in a travel trailer or RV as a matter of policy, without considering the nature of the job. Anyway, Need a Brake was responsive, communicated well in scheduling, was on time, and comp, eyed the job quickly at a fair price. read more

Matt is always quick to help and take care of what we need in a timely and affordable manner. He's fixed several of our vehicles and we will continue to use his company and highly recommend him to others. Great guy. read more

Matt was so helpful - I needed the starter replaced on my car and he was able to get to me promptly and complete the repair quickly for a reasonable price. What really made the experience for me is that I didn't feel uncomfortable being home alone with my daughter while he was here completing the job because he seemed professional, trustworthy, and friendly starting with our phone and text communication and continuing through his arrival and completion of the job. I'll definitely be reaching back out when we need work done in the future. read more

Efficient, Punctual, Reasonably priced are not typically what you thing of when you thing of brake repair. The kicker is that he comes to your home or place of business so not time wasted. Matt did a great job replacing my squeaky brakes. I asked him to save my rotors and he did. He was done in less than 30 minutes or at least that's what it felt like. Thanks Matt!! read more

Need a brake recently did my mother in laws brakes. He was professional timely and came to us (which is huge for us right now with Covid). We appreciate the service and will be getting our own brakes done very soon. Thank you need a brake. read more

I contacted Matt through Yelp to replace the alternator in my car, which was stuck in my apartment garage after a few weeks of non-use. Matt responded within minutes and showed up exactly on time the following day. He replaced the part and even jump started the car for me, all in about 30-40 minutes. Completely painless process! Highly recommend Matt and Need a Brake. read more

Fast, Reliable, Honest and Afforable. I highly recommend him if your needing a service done on your vehicle. Matt not only fixed my car, but helped me avoid an all day hassle at the dealership with a expensive invoice to go along with it. I came across Matt on Yelp and I'm very thankful that I did. Matt responded to me very quickly after contacting him and also drove directly to me. Need a Brake saved me half the cost or more than what I'd be charged at a dealership. I highly recommend Matt's services for your vechicle needs. Thanks again Need a Brake. read more

Matt was nice, responded quickly with a quote, and did great work for a fair price! I'd use him again.

This small company gives the big dogs in the city a definite run for their business. They were responsive, friendly, and very efficient with the whole process. Will no doubt use again! read more

Matt was very friendly and did a great job. He is does work at a reasonable price compared to the auto shop quote I compared him with. He is a mobile mechanic which is very convenient. He did a front and back brake replacement and front rotor replacement under an hour at the parking lot at my work. He is priced to compete. He has won my business. I will be keeping him in mind whenever I have car troubles. read more

They showed up on time, provided excellent service and the pricing was very fair. I will continue to use their services in the future and recommend them to any friends or family that may need a mobile mechanic. read more

Matt's worked on 3 of my vehicles over the last couple of years. He always does a great job, and quickly! The problem is, he's too honest and too reasonably priced! Where most brake repair guys would've told me I needed to replace all 4 sets of pads and the front rotors, Matt was honest and showed me where the rear pads had plenty of miles left on them, and only replaced the fronts. I understand why he is so busy and can't give him a high enough recommendation! read more

Matt just finished up my car service and I couldn't be anymore grateful! My brakes and rotors needed to be changed so bad and so last minute. I found their exceptional reviews on Yelp and decided to book a service with them. He was able to squeeze me into their schedule, and I was thankful that they came to my house. I was nervous to drive anywhere to get my car fixed, because I knew how bad/dangerous it could've been if I tried driving it to a shop with horrible brakes. Prices were reasonable and service was quick (45 min)! Highly recommended to anyone who needs car service. read more

My experience was perfect. It was a very reasonable price, quick response time and the job was completed in less then 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. read more

Matt is more than outstanding!! Honest, courteous and efficient! What more can you ask for? Highly recommend!!

Fantastic service!!! I found Mike on yelp after getting a ridiculous quote to change my brakes from a dealer. Not only was the price fair, but the service was so top notch. We messaged each other to schedule on yelp. The day of service he actually became available early. So Mike came to the house and changed all my brakes in about half an hour. The work done was awesome, no corners cut. All quality work. I can't recommend this service enough. Will definitely use Mike again. read more

Showed up as scheduled and was very professional and completed the work in record time. Will definitely use him again for future brake work.

Matt came over the same day and fixed my car, then he topped off my fluids for free. The car had been sitting for a year and now it runs. Thank you! read more
