I've been here a handful of times because they have some cute clothes and jewelry. Prices are okay; some stuff is reasonable while other items are just too much for what they are. The customer service is definitely hit or miss. Half the staff is very friendly and the other half couldn't care less that you might spend money here. The store itself is really cute and the customer service is usually great. However, the quality of the clothes is HORRIBLE. So many things I have purchased from this store have been one-time-wear before something rips or breaks. And the prices aren't very low for the quality of the items. This is the first shop I walked into during my first experience in Claremont and the Claremont Village and easily one of my favorites. The clothes are of amazing quality paired with affordable price tags ($30-$40 for some dresses). All their clothes makes me want to wear everything without a bra, haha. Definitely not things you see all the time in big chain stores. They have these super cute sundresses with very different prints on them: bunnies, birds, elephants! in breezy, light material. Their jewelry ranges from about $3-4 for earrings and $12-14 for necklaces, all adorable and unique. They also carry Toms shoes, if you're looking to get a pair. The service is friendly enough. The girls hold the options you are considering by the dressing room so you can freely browse the rest of the clothing without holding a bunch of hangers. I've been in here when there were a large group of teenyboppers but for the most part it has a quiet and easy going atmosphere. Cute Cute Cute~! Love this little store. I first walked in during the Claremont's Wine Walk and fell in love. The store has the cutest, trendiest, lovliest dresses, blouses & accessories. Most of the dresses are around ~$30 and is totally affordable for all the college girls of Claremont (help them get out of their hippy-esque look). The last time I went by I got a pair of earrings (owls) & a wooden bracelet. Perfect accessories to make an old outfit a new look. I'm always looking for cute, affordable, and local boutiques in my area, so when I found Nectar I was interested in checking the place out. The girls that work there are friendly and helpful, which is always a nice thing. The clothes/styles are in fashion and items that people would want to wear. They are affordable, but I did expect them to be cheaper given the reviews here on Yelp. I ended up buying a maxi dress which I love! The material was really soft and is comfortable. Was visiting the Claremont area with my sister and stumbled upon Nectar. What a find! The store carries a nice variety of casual clothes, jewelry, shoes, and dresses, all at surprisingly reasonable prices. I was just walking around the store with no serious intention of buying anything, but ended up walking out with a cute turquoise peplum top and a silky blouse with awesome skull buttons... all for $50 with change! Awesome and friendly staff... they go above and beyond to meet expectations. I visited today from LA looking for a tunic that was sold out on the website. The salesgirls took the time to look through the store for the exact top... when they couldn't find it, they called around to THREE stores in the area before they located it at the Irvine location. I beg to differ with Tess's comments below. I've been to Nectar once and am planning on returning tonight after work. The employees were so very sweet and helpful, the variety of choices in styles and sizes were great, and I'm not a tiny girl by any means I wear a 8/10 and their large fit me fine. Their prices for the area are really quite reasonable and as far as clothing quality well, even Nordstrom pieces I've had to wash delicate and hang dry. Overall, I think Nectar is a adorable store with kind and helpful employees and great options in clothing for whatever your occasion may be. See you tonight!! read more

The town is beautiful, the sales assistants are helpful and nice, and the clothes.... they are everything I dreamed of :') Sun dresses, date dresses, skirts, shorts, blouses and normal tee shirts. The women that work in this shop are so RUDE. I've gone in a few times and its always the same they look at you as if your going to steal something. They also pick and choose who they say Hello to when somebody walks in. They are not approachable at all. If they want the business they should learn how to be Friendlier and approachable. read more

Very cute boutique which had a great selection of clothes that wasn't made out of cheap material. I really loved the unique styles they had and they had a good selection of rompers, which I have been trying to get my hands on since last summer. Oh my goodness, I have never been to a place with such HORRIBLE service!! The girls who work there think they are almost too good to help you, or they ignore customers completely and talk to eachother as if they are not on a job! I work in retail myself, so I understand how it is. But seriously each and every time I go in, the employees are just plain rude. Even when I've called in to see what time they close, they answered rudely. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because the clothing is just so splendid, but I value customer service, that's what makes me want to support small businesses. What a cute little shop! My friend and I stopped by yesterday and the clothes are cute! There was only one sales associate in there but she tried her best to attend to all her customers' needs. I found a cute printed tank for $16! However, I do think the rest of the store can be a bit pricey. They do look like they have great quality and material though. They also carry a small line of TOMS which is a plus! I wouldn't say shoes are the best quality but it's reasonable prices.
