A place that treats coffee like its an art! This our favorite espresso in town. Get the cortado if you want a higher espresso to milk ratio. It reminded me of flat whites from New Zealand. Every pastry we've tried has been incredible. There's a variety of seating including a large pine table, bar seating, and six bistro tables along the wall. Come here for a calm ambiance with personable service!

Gosh, even early this place fills up quickly and for good reason. Strong performance on the cortado and the ham and Swiss handpies. The masala chai is also excellent. The staff greets and interacts with a genuineness that's really lovely.

I came here for a quick drip coffee and it was great! There was no wait and the staff is super friendly. The cafe is beautiful--it was nice to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

Oat milk latte

Great coffee and service! Very friendly people who like to personalize the experience. Love the staff and they're friendliness. I ordered a regular oat milk latte and it tasted delicious.

Mocha and a latte.

I would highly recommend Neckar. The barista was helpful and friendly to everyone who entered. He made the drinks in front of us on the bar and added some art!

Good latte. Their ham & gruyere hand pie was light and tasty. The café is modern and spacious also cozy once you sit down to catch up with a friend or your saved news articles. The staff are very friendly and their service is very attentive as well.

A wonderful space, friendly and helpful service, and great coffee! We were passing through Boise on our road trip, and wanted to sit and have some coffee. After walking around for a bit we found this cafe. I ordered latte which was really good, but I fell in love with pumpkin cardamom loaf! I loved it so much I tried to re-create it once I got back home (it was good enough that it satisfied my craving). I wish this place near me!

The bar counter is the best place r sit!

My favorite coffee joint in Boise. Laid back atmosphere and great service. My favorite drinks are the cold brew, iced matcha, and iced chai

I have been to top coffee shops in Seattle, Netherlands, LA, San Fran, Austin, etc. and Neckar stacks with the best of them.

The shop is always clean and has a really comfortable atmosphere whether you're stopping in briefly or planning to stay awhile. One of the highlights is the upstairs seating area. It's cozy, bright, and overlooks the downstairs dining area, which gives it a great feel and makes it a perfect place to sit with a coffee or get some work done. They also have nice outdoor seating, especially on sunny days, which adds to the whole downtown Boise experience. The food has been consistently good and everything I've tried has been fresh. What really stands out is the management. It's very impressive and clearly shows in the staff, the attention to detail, and the overall experience. I'm still getting to know Boise, but this is definitely one of the places I recommend downtown for great coffee and a comfortable place to spend some time!

The shop offers house roasted coffee beans and merchandise. My dad buys their house "bright eye" beans every week for our coffee machine at home. Pastries selection is great but I wish they all inside the closed displayed so they all not dry and no fly landed to any of them. I know it's early but I love it when employees/ baristas greet us/customers "good morning"! They never smile and I feel like they had a rough night? And I never understood why My barista always ignored my request every time I ask them to make my latte extra hot and no foam/flat. I don't need any fancy milk art, just simply make my latte xtra hot.

I got labs done at the hospital today. It was so pretty out that I decided to walk and make my way…read moredown to get some coffee. I usually hit a couple local joints that are right by the salon I work at. Conveniently, Dawson Taylor was right there so I took it as a sign to head in. This coffee joint is so cool. Walked in and instantly noticed how pretty the shop is. I was greeted right away. I told the gentleman that greeted me that I was going to use the ladies room real quick. I will have to say, the bathroom is so dope. I love all the quotes that were written on the walls. You don't realize how long you're actually in the bathroom when you're reading all the tiles. After reading a handful of tiles, I finally made my way out. I got my usual coffee when I try a new joint out. Gives every shop an even playing field. So I got myself an iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I had asked the barista for cream to be poured in the back by him. I had told him about my new kidney when I ordered and that I can't really use communal things. He proceeded to tell me the cream was at the table. I really didn't want to use it but I did. I poured a little of it out before I added the cream to my drink. I also used a napkin to hold the handle. I try not to be a germaphobe but it's hard not to be when your immune system is non existent. I made my way outside to sit under the sun and absorb the afternoon energy. I did add couple packets of my sweetner to my drink to sweetnen it a tad. I like my drinks on the sweeter side. Wow, this drink is absolute perfection. You can taste the espresso. It was very present and bitter. It wasn't watered down and light. I appreciate how bold the espresso is. The cream added a nice richness to the drink. The sweetner did enhance the taste of the vanilla. This americano was so good! I ended up walking to Cecil Andrus park and enjoying the rest of my drink there. It was just what I needed this afternoon. This joint is just another block away from the salon I work at which will be so nice and convenient to head down to for an afternoon caffeinated beverage. Another joint I will have to frequent. I will be back soon for another round of this fabulous americano. Especially after a long day at work.

We did a short trip to Boise, and our last full day started with a cold & rainy morning. To warm up…read more& keep us out of the wet weather, we looked for a cafe and noticed Dawson Taylor was nearby. It looked like it had a good amount of seating within its cozy interior, so we decided to settle here. The cashier greeted us & was friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. I got a mocha and my husband got a pour over coffee. My mocha was pretty good, but the star was the pour over. I believe the beans used were from Ethiopia, and it was excellently smooth with notes of the coffee cherry it came from! I love when I can taste the complex flavors through different brewing methods at a café. This Dawson Taylor location may be downtown, but it still maintains a welcoming community vibe, and has delicious coffee. Highly recommend!
