They offered to make the fries with only salt without me asking which was a big help. The seasoned fries are excellent but they are a bit much for my little ones The shrimp tacos were excellent. They were loaded in shrimp and the right amount of sauce. The hot dog was really good. I'm always situated when the dog and bun alone can stand apart. Theirs does and it's a credit to the quality of the dog and the preparation of the bun. The best perfect finish of the meal was the beignets. They were cooked perfectly and were light and airy and topped with powdered sugar. Some may think the powdered sugar was excessive but I thought it was spot on and a huge hit with my kiddos. I'll be back again be t time they are zaftig and if I happen upon them when I'm out and about I'm Definitely ordering beignets on the spot!

There's good opportunities to catch it at Staas.

I met one of the owners, Jason who is a Veteran. I ordered a pork rib, some pulled pork, a pork belly burnt end. The pork rib had a nice slight touch of smoke to it and was nice and tender. The pulled pork was nice and moist had a very nice flavor to it. The pork belly burnt end was so tender with the slightest crunch to the outside, super tasty. On to the sides. The baked beans had some bacon in them with a nice yummy sauce to them. I also got the macaroni and cheese which had a blend of several cheeses and then baked. Scrumptious. And then a surprise, Cream cabbage, which had a nice sauce to it. I definitely won't hesitate to check them out again. Come support this Veteran and his dream. You won't be disappointed.
