The plates and utensils looked like they were never washed and the staff was less than accommodating to my request to get clean utensils. I can't believe I haven't left a review for Nebu yet. I eat lunch here pretty much every day, oh and breakfast when my schedule allows. For breakfast they have a nice yogurt, fruit and oatmeal bar (overnight oats with berries are my favorite there). They have an omelette line (where you can pick all the veggies and meats you want and they make it right there for you). There's also a ready hot breakfast line if you're in a rush (eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, etc. you pay by weighing it). They also have an open grill line where you can literally get anything! My favorites in the grill line are the avocado toast, tacos, pancakes and croissant sandwich (you can pick anything and it's all so freaking good). For lunch, they have Tex Mex, sandwich line, salad bar, soups, pizza, stir fry, sushi, hot/ready food line that usually has salmon, grilled chicken and some other meat that changes daily (veggies change daily as well), BBQ line (so freaking good but only on Wednesday's) and an open grill line. I love Nebu oh so much! Especially for their discounts (Devon employees and downtown employees get them). Thank you Nebu and Nebu employees for making my food life amazing. read more

ANYONE CAN EAT HERE. It seems like people downtown don't always know that this is an open cafeteria. You don't have to work at Devon. Additionally, it really isn't outrageously priced. Is it cheap? Well, no not really... but no food downtown is, and you aren't going to find this many options at this high of quality anywhere else nearby. Take a look at their online menu to see their rotating specials, but one you get there be sure to make the whole loop to see what is at each station! It is hard to decide between so many delicious options. This is also my go to when I want a salad. I am at a loss for words. I have lived in Oklahoma City all my life and started working downtown before I could drive. This restaurant, much like the building in which it lives, is a game changer for Downtown OKC employees. I worked in the First National Center (FNC) for seven years. The closest, fastest, cheapest options, were national sandwich chains and after so much processed meat, sometimes it was better to just not eat lunch. Kashi Go Lean bars became my go to. Some great little local spots were in the surrounding buildings, but you can only drink so many smoothies and eat so much chicken salad. And I love me some Ken (owner of the Chinese buffet in FNC- big ups, Ken!), but you can't get Chinese buffet on the daily, no matter how much you think it calls your name. So back to Nebu: Do this math: for around $7, you can have your pick of sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, sushi, or one of four or five daily specials. I think between the regular options and the specials, if you worked in this building and chose to eat here on the daily, you could have something different every day, all year. I posted a bunch of pictures because it literally has to be seen to be believed. I had the soba noodles in a miso broth. I got to pick from chicken, shrimp, tofu or a combo. Broccoli, asparagus, tobiko, peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms and more could be added, as many as you wanted, for the same price. Which (with tax) came to $6.88. I had a (free) cucumber water, but had about 100 different teas, waters and natural sodas to choose from. The meal itself was fantastic, as my lunchmate can attest because I ate with so much gusto I ended up with soup all over me and really did not care. I've eaten in one of the cafeterias at Microsoft, and I can tell you that this is so much better it is difficult to compare the two. I plan to work here from time to time, so let me know if you want to try it. They'll probably just think I actually work in Devon Tower! read more

How can I explain Nebu? It's like an adult cafeteria. It's located in the Devon building and you really can't miss it once you enter the building. Nebu is open to the public, not just for the Devon employees. I had a friend that assumed that the cafeteria was just specifically for the Devon employees. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, providing daily specials. You can find the specials on their website, but if you don't want their daily special, they also have a lot of other options. I applaud them for having such a fantastic salad bar! That's another thing, if you're looking for a healthy meal, Nebu has that!! A tad bit pricey, but that's it. read more

I came back for lunch today and I ordered the Buffalo Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, pickle and Green Jasmin Black Tea. I asked for my burger to have chedder cheese on with lettuce and tomato. Instead of the little piece of lettuce I received last time, I got a healthy leafy green piece and a large tomato that covered the whole meat patty. The protein was kind of dry, but I think that's how bison meat is unfortunately. I slathered the bread with Chipotle mayo and it helped make the burger less dry! I feel that the regular french fries are better then then sweet potato one's.... This time the cook toasted my bread so it tasted 100x's better! My meal came out to 11 bucks today, so... If you're a Devon employee, you have three choices- red, yellow or green and you get a price break on "yellow" and "green" items. Even those of us who don't work at the Big Penis in the Sky get a break on Fridays!!! I've had the "red" meals - queso and salsa yummy, the pizza and the italian sammich yummo. I've had the salad bar (kinda price JMO) and other meals but I've changed my diet. So now I gravitate to one area. I love the 250 calorie meals, which is usually grilled chicken and veggies. Had breakfast there today and I have had a number of breakfasts there. 30 plus. The food and service for breakfast continues to go downhill. Last time I was there I had the breakfast hot buffet. When I picked up the turkey sausage you could tell it had been sitting there for a while. The sausage was dry and the eggs were dry. Today I decided to have a scramble with vegetables and turkey sausage to see if the fresh offerings were better than the buffet. I walked in and I was the only one at the station, asked if they were still open and they said yes. I ordered a vegetable and turkey scramble and they asked which vegetables I wanted, filled them in a bowl, turned them upside down on the griddle and left them, for about 5 minutes. During this time while some vegetables were cold, some warm and some over cooking, she took other orders, tasted the chefs sauce for the day and got back to me. She beat two eggs and poured them over the pile of ingredients. Once the started cooking, mixed them once, flipped them and put them in my to go box. When I opened the box the eggs were still wet in the middle and some of the vegetables had a good char while other were completely raw. Not only was the food underwhelming, the service was slow. How long does it take to make a scramble? In this case it took 10ish minutes. Don't even ask how long the omelette station takes. "Now taking orders for Labor Day." I think NEBU has really gotten out of the breakfast business and now only caters to lunch or the people who need to fill their time between showing up for work and lunch and are okay with mediocre food and service. read more

Yelp keeps prompting me to review Nebu so now I finally am. I have 92 check-ins there and I'm not a Devon employee. At least once a week, frequently more, I make the walk from my office in Bricktown to the Devon Tower for lunch at Nebu. I really appreciate Devon opening their employee cafeteria to the general public and also that they serve lots of tasty, healthy choices along with the normal not so healthy lunch choices. I have to exercise to get there and then I eat healthy when I do so that's a win-win day for me. The one benefit I miss by not being a Devon employee is getting the 50% discount they provide to their employees on their healthy choice items. I don't eat the healthy items only because they are healthy. I eat them because it's food I love and can't get anywhere else downtown for lunch at such a reasonable price. Seafood and fish are some of my favorites and you can get big pieces of quality salmon and mahi mahi at Nebu. The exact offerings vary from day-to-day and sometimes week-to-week. I have signed up for the daily email of the special offerings but you can also check it out at www.cafenebu.com where you can see the Daily Menu for items they have every day as well as the Weekly Menu that shows the special items in each section for each day. If you check this out in advance, it will make it a little bit easier when you get there. You will just have to see if they still have the item you want. I am a late lunch eater so I sometimes miss out on my first choice but always find something worth getting. They close at 1:30pm so don't be too late but around 1:00 pm you miss the big lunch crowd. I glanced through some of the other reviews. I noticed one lady complained about how much she assumed her small soda cost but that she couldn't check it because she didn't get a receipt. You frequently do have to request a copy of the receipt from the cashier but two copies are always printed out. Nebu keeps the first copy & the second copy is for the customer. I always get one. I don't think I have ever paid for a drink at Nebu. They have dispensers of cold water, one always has lemon slices in it and another cucumber slices, that are free. Just get a glass and fill it up. About every other week, Nebu has carved turkey breast at the bistro station. I love turkey but I don't cook and I didn't get to have turkey at Thanksgiving (we waited too long and had to have ham). I was happy that this was turkey week so I went Monday and had the carved turkey breast. The serving is always a large two slices and the bistro has an assortment of toppings available for the meat and fish offerings. In keeping with my belated Thanksgiving theme, I got the cranberry sauce topping. The turkey is always moist and tender and the salmon is also delicious. Their turkey meat loaf is so good and popular that I have only managed to get it once before they sold out of it. The bistro items come with a choice of two sides which vary day by day. I won't go into detail about what all I have eaten there. As of now, there are 80 photos on Yelp for Nebu. I am guessing that the majority are mine. You may be surprised that I am only rating Nebu at 4 stars and not 5. Well, with experience I usually make good choices but I have had a few not so stellar selections as would be expected in a cafeteria setting. All of the staff working there have always been very friendly and helpful. I am definitely a fan and will be back at Nebu eating lunch again soon! read more

You don't have to work at Devon to eat here. Don't be afraid to try it if you are on the West side of Downtown around lunch. Get there around 1 and it isn't that crowded but don't be late, they close at 130pm. The sammy's are by far my favorite. You get several choices of meat, cheese and bread. I usually get hormone free sliced chicken or turkey breast, fresh greens, really really sweet and soft tomatoes, cucumbers, dijon and provo. A few different bread choices and I've had them all. The bread has to be fresh baked cause it's so delicious. Are they making it or does it come from somewhere local? Oh, and my side today was the quinoa with spinach and dried cranberries. It was freaking amazing. In addition to the wonderful review Julie P. posted, I'll add they also have burritos, pizza, pasta, calzone, and cafeteria style American food (think carving station with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes). They also minimize the impact on landfills by using recycled paper, washable plates, baskets, glasses and utensils (they have plastic utensils for the on-the-go pro) and recycle any plastic or aluminum product you use. Yay! FYI - The executive chef came out and talked to us today. He was pumping up a new coffee and pastry shop they are opening in August. Ugh, 6 am comes early but hopefully their creations will make it a reason to get out of bed. read more

Fantastic food court/cafeteria in the bottom of Devon Tower. It's a little overwhelming if you haven't been. There are a lot of choices: sushi, BBQ, sandwiches, Mexican, salad bar, hot food. Even though this place feeds a lot of people daily, they get you out quickly. There are several drink stations as well as cashiers. The area is desired very well. On my first trip, I went with a salad and BBQ. The salad bar is a little high at $9.60 a pound, but it's fresh, very well stocked, and has nice variety. I don't mind paying a little more than you usually would for a salad bar given the location and the choices. The BBQ had about 4-5 choices for meats and another half dozen choices for sides. I went with a 2 meat combo of sausage and smoked turkey with baked beans and mac n cheese for my 2 sides. I don't know if this is typical, but I got a LOT of food. I received a large scoop of each side (he actually went back to get more mac n cheese) and a large serving of each meat. The turkey was the winner of the 4 dishes. It was juicy and had a nice hint of smoke. The sausage was good, but it was just average. The beans needed a lot more seasoning, but they were cooked well. The mac n cheese was standard, but it was better than the beans. I would order the turkey and the mac n cheese again. I've only been one time, but I imagine on future trips I will be updating this review to 5 stars. It's a great cafeteria and it works well downtown. read more

This is the food court on the ground floor of the Devon Tower. I've been a few times over the years, but last time you can really tell they aren't doing as well - much less to choose from and less staff. The food has always been okay. It's a cafeteria, not great, but certainly not a Furs or Luby's, yes I'm old enough to remember that. I suppose my main reason for the low score is that it's expensive. A plate of nachos and a soda on Tuesday can run you $11 bucks. It's just not cost worthy for what you get, especially with other places around. It's really only worth it if you're a Devon employee. Sorry, contractors don't get the discount either. But hey...that's what Yelp! Is for. Checking out all the options. Hope you're next meal is memorable. read more

I'm at a little bit of a loss for how to write this review. All of the other reviews are great and I've been excited about trying Nebu, but I just didn't have a 5 or even 4 star experience. First of all, I was completely befuddled and I didn't even know where to begin! Upon entering I couldn't find a tray and I was surrounded by what felt like thousands of people buzzing around me in all different directions. I felt like I was at the London Heathrow airport about to pull my hair out. Since I was completely overwhelmed, I settled on the first vegetarian item I saw: a veggie burger. This decision came after I finally realized that you have to walk past everyone in line waiting to see the small menus on the counters. That annoyed me. It took less than 5 minutes to get my veggie burger and then I went over to the salad bar. There were so many different items that I was pretty excited about this part. I put all kinds of stuff on my salad including some delicious curry cauliflower. Downfall of the salad bar: there were too many people waiting in line for the other side where all the cheeses and other salad condiments were so I feel like my salad could have been much better than it was (since I decided to avoid the people). Food: 3 stars because my veggie burger wasn't that great. It was obviously a crappy frozen patty and it left me feeling uneasy all day. My salad was delicious though and everything was actually pretty reasonably priced. I think my whole meal was less than $8. Service: ehhhh 2 stars because the lady we checked out with was short with me when I asked where the water was and because I didn't know what the hell I was doing when I got there and I couldn't find anyone to ask. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Total of 3 stars because there are a lot of eco-friendly qualities surrounding this restaurant/cafeteria and I love that they love to renew, reuse and recycle. I may come back someday but there are too many other places downtown that I want to try and this place was just a little too much stimulation for me. An update: Breakfast: Breakfast tacos are a decent deal as long as you only get 1 meat and 3 veggies. If you ask for more than that, they hit you for like a dollar per add on at the register, and you might as well get the burrito. If you are an employee, the "healthy" breakfast sandwich (turkey,egg,lowfat cheese,english muffin or wheat bread) is a decent option. If you're not an employee, it is drastically over-priced at something close to $4-5. I see a lot of people get ala carte items, eggs etc. The pre-made things are always much smaller portion versions of the fresh made items, and the buffet by weight is a mine field of priciness. Don't touch the heavy barite buttermilk biscuits $$$, or the bacon! It's a DOLLAR extra PER SLICE for bacon, on top of the charge by weight. I'd give breakfast 3-4 stars as long as you have figured out the mine field of things that make it not a good deal. Lunch: Lunch is ok cafeteria food at a relatively premium price for cafeteria food. I would stick to the fresh made options a la Chipotle style. I won't buy hamburgers here, because part of their healthy push training is to smash all the juice out of the burgers while cooking them, and they are always very well done. Those carvery and premade items are never cooked right, and I've seen them plop them under the warming lamp at 8am in the morning. I used to get the pork loin, but that has gotten so consistently horrible I would never wish it on anyone without their chainsaw. How you make a pork loin not at least sort of tender is a mystery to me. In the several I have cooked, I have never managed to slaughter one as badly as the last several I have consumed at NEBU. My friend orders the sushi a lot and said they diminished the amount of fish on it. I would give lunch 3 stars. It's ok. Catering Buffet: OMG, from about ~3/2017 I don't know what happened. I think they hired a vegan to be in charge of catering the lunch buffet. It used to nearly always be: Italian with sausage or chicken, red or white sauce, pasta, and bread fajitas with steak or chicken, tortillas, beans, rice, and chips or barbecue with sausage, pork loin and chicken with baked beans and corn. Which got boring, but it was a solid lunch. Now literally every time I have been in months, the ONLY meat option among 4 other veggie dishes is always disappointing and as mentioned, everything else is a carb or veggie dish. I have heard of people being chastised for taking more than 1/2 of a butterflied breast too, so it seems they are really forcing you to eat almost no meat, and always low fat poultry. The last several options were: plain grilled butterflied chicken breasts bruschetta tomato coated otherwise plain dry butterflied grilled chicken breast ground turkey taco meat for healthyish tacos ground turkey nachos as the main course chicken wings as main and only meat course I really hope they get someone else in charge of this buffet or change whatever weird restrictions on planning it they put in place soon, because I will be getting food outside when attending lunch meetings until they change this. It is currently abysmally bad unless you are vegan and get all excited about veggies. Overall, I feel like Guckenheim must operate with a lot of overhead. They always seem very obsessed with costs and they are also all VERY into the healthy bent. They are going to get you for every add on and make sure you don't walk out ahead. Your food has to be inspected on checkout, in case you snuck any golden bacon slices?? They are super strict about what they will consider a healthy item, down to minor condiments, and they do things in their food preparation to force you to eat healthier than you might have intended. It's kind of strange. It's sad so many of the alternatives nearby got pushed out by construction. Hopefully they will have more competition when all of the construction is done. read more

Killer lunch options. I built myself a salad that was absolutely delicious - spinach and arugula, wheat berry salad, roasted veggies, olives, chicken, various other fresh veggies. They have such a great assortment of options and they keep the bar area SUPER clean and tidy. It's very appetizing. I love the variety of food options here. You can really get whatever your heart desires. I chose the salad bar, which was loaded with fresh greens and vegetables along with a wide variety of proteins. You do pay by the pound for the salad so do keep that in mind. Along with the salad there were a variety of pasta salads, quina, fruit etc anything that you could possibly want on a salad. I loved that they also had little containers with lids for the dressing so if you were going to get one to eat later or throughout the day you wouldnt have to worry about your salad getting soggy. I was there with a couple other people, the kids each had a hamburger- made to order and delicious. You can also get it without the bun and on top of lettuce if you are looking for a gluten free option. They also have french fries. There was not anything in the whole place that looked bad. We went right before the height of the lunch hour and it was already pretty busy by the time we got all of our food, drinks and paid the whole area was pretty full. If you are looking for a sweet little pick me up after or throughout the day there is a cute little coffee shop right next to the cafeteria that offers a wide variety of coffee drinks, pasty items and ice cream. You cant go wrong at either place. Both places are only open when Devon is open though so I wouldnt try to go on a weekend but its the perfect place to go if you are already downtown for a work lunch. read more

Yum. Yum. Yum. Cliche to yum again? Don't care. Yum. Nebu is delicious and beautiful and perfect. Yes, I said perfect. There are so many options to choose from and from what I could tell, you can't make a mistake. I joined a friend there for lunch and she got me a guest parking spot so I can't speak to the parking (which is honestly what has kept me away because I don't work right in downtown), but even if it were a hassle it would be worth it. The day I was there, Nebu had many healthy options as well as standards like pizza and burgers. I opted for the salmon with chimichuri, asparagus and cous cous and a watermelon iced tea. It was ~$9 before my friend's employee discount and a lot less after and was arguably better than any fine-dining salmon I have had in OKC. If I worked in the tower or even in downtown I don't think I would ever bring my lunch again. Every single employee working at Nebu greeted me, told me to have a good day, and smiled the whole time. It is clear that Devon put a lot of thought and effort into their cafeteria (but really, can we find something better to call it in this case?). Actually, with the downtown employee promo they're doing, I got an additional 20% off and bought lunch for a friend. You can get a variety of foods from the traditional American hamburger to pho. It's a short walk from where I work. Nice atmosphere. Nice healthy selection. I imagine it's nice during the spring. They have outdoor seating in which you can view the Myriad Botanical Gardens. I decided to give this place a try for a change in my Friday lunch routine. The restaurant is actually more of a cafeteria-style setup where you pick which option looks best to you and then take your food to the cashiers at one of the entrances to pay for it. It's a little confusing at first, but the staff serving the food were very friendly and eager to help new customers figure it out. There's a strong focus on being environmentally friendly, too, with compostable and recyclable materials used. The seating areas are also great with the option to sit indoors or outside. I ordered the following item as specified in their menu: Grilled Balsamic Chicken and Apple Panini with Dried Cranberry Compote and Fontina Cheese with One Well Side 8.00 Cal 489, Fat 5.5g, Sat Fat 2.1g, Sod 760mg, Carbs 51g, Fib 5g, Pro 24g I went with the couscous with grilled veggies as my one side item and added a single to-go cup of soda to my meal. Sadly, those 20 oz sodas must cost over $2 since my total meal came to over $11. That's a little on the high side just for lunch. Obviously, I should have gotten a drink elsewhere where it would have cost quite a bit less. It didn't help that the cashier's english was rather poor, so I couldn't get a receipt to break down the cost either. Taste-wise, the couscous was good, but the panini was rather dry. I love this place. You can eat healthy or not healthy. The salad bar is dreamy and you purchase it by weight. There is tons of variety for any type of food you want. I would eat here all the time if it was a closer walk from my work. Yum. read more

Yay! I'm a fan. Oh, nebu. I've eaten so much food from here. I eventually got tired of it, but I'm not sure how. The food is always at a good temperature and yummy, which is all you can ever ask of a cafeteria. They have Mexican, pizza, BBQ, sushi, Asian, American grill, sandwiches, salad bar, Mediterranean, etc. There is also a wall of teas and flavor-infused waters. I also enjoyed playing "Which new Chocolove can I find?" and running between the different baskets at the check-out counters to lust after my options. This is open to the public so check it out. Outside seating facing the garden is available if you want to fight the doors while holding food (it's an art form). Get there before noon if you want enough room to wander around and get a lay of the land. read more

One of my favorite lunch places downtown. Always has fresh and healthy options, but for some reason I stick to the salad bar. I love salad bars. I want to try many of their specials of the day though that so many people brag about in their reviews! They are open for a relatively short lunch time though so before going you might want to check, it is i think 1-3pm? Not bad! I love the atmosphere, sophisticated gorgeous high-rise building in OKC. Nebu is just a short walk from my office, and I love it. If I'm not sure what I want for lunch, I head to Nebu because I know I'm sure to find something good. They have all kinds of food - pizza, pasta, sandwiches, soup, Asian food, even sushi (that is actually pretty good)! The only thing I've had here that I didn't like was pad Thai, and afterward I wondered why I was expecting an authentic pad Thai from a cafeteria-style place. Having said that, I've enjoyed sushi, salads and sandwiches from Nebu very much. Meg mentioned she was overwhelmed in walking in, and I can totally see that. Everyone else seems to know exactly where they're going, so if it's your first time, just wander around and look for signs for the different kinds of food. haha I'll also say it can get kind of pricey, between $10 and $15, which isn't horrible, but more than you'd pay for a good lunch other places downtown. It's not somewhere I'd eat every day, but definitely a great addition to downtown! read more

Nebu is truly God's blessing to downtown. They have EVERYTHING. Mexican food, Chinese food, and the best salad bar downtown. They give discounts to downtown OKC employees on Fridays, which is another added bonus! They also have a great breakfast bar - full of yogurts, oatmeals, and breakfast tacos! You can truly find anything you want here - and it's all excellent. read more
