Eh, this is a hard review. Service was top notch. Both bar tenders were attentive, helpful, and beyond and above. I asked how the merlot was and if the bottle had been opened for several days. ( I'm not an ass hat. I've drank a lot of vinegar wines bc I wanted to be nice and accommodating as a guest..but the more expensive dining gets, I just can't drink old vinegar for $15). Anyway, he was so chill about it and didn't even hesitate to open me a new bottle, which I did not expect, nor ask for. He just did it. And again, I was not hinting or a jerk. He just was smart about wine. Whiskey drinks were, as advertised, fabulous. Real cherries, swoon. Food was meh. But, and I can't fault the restraunt, but the customer base was bro-ey at best. At best. We were waiting on other people who were late, so we went through two rounds of bros. It wasn't just a bad, single set. One guy sitting next to me (I couldn't help but overhear his loud and proud conversation) talked about how his wife was 'a good wife but doesn't know how to clean'. One of my favorite restaurants!!! Their cocktails are incredible, especially the adios pantalones (strawberry margarita). Yes, they are pricey but flavors are top notch and there are so many different options! I've tried several items on their menu. The pizza is delicious and a good size for two to split. The burgers are so good, but the real MVP?!? THOSE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!! Seriously, I LOVE them. I prefer them without bacon but you can get them either way. I love that you can choose them as your side instead of French fries for no additional charge. We went here around Christmas time and it was quite busy. Luckily we had a reservation. The bar was full of people having fun. We ordered a hamburger to share which was good. We also ordered the burrata appetizer which was good, not great, I felt like it needed more variety. We ordered a side of asparagus and literally got seven pieces of crappy asparagus for $7. I bit my tongue not to say something about it. I was really disappointed about that, it almost felt like a joke it was so pathetic. Service was good. Lauren (waitress) is fabulous! Friendly, efficient, great suggestions. Mom had the Classic Burger with fries. I had the Steakburger no fries and I substituted Asparagus. I also got the Small Chopped Salad which was very big for a small. I did eat my whole burger which was fantastic. I was concerned that burgers are all cooked well done. No worries on that, juiciest well done burger I have ever had. Loved my choice on the Steak burger. Mom and I both got our sauce condiments on the side. I'm glad I did Aioli on the side, the burger was so juicy I barely used any sauce. My one and only complaint would be I would like a larger portion of Asparagus. I've been here more than once and will return. They have so many Bourbons, omg, bourbon flights. Pizza, burgers, tacos, oh the "neat" balls in marinara and pesto, so much To eat and love. Service is beyond the norm, smile, attention, and focus. The ambiance follows suit, outside/ inside, all nicely done and fresh decor. Pizza is not really Italian but more contemporary semolina, still wonderful. Meatballs were memorable. Fish tacos same. Neat is definitely a "neat" place. Most days, you'll find it packed with people, and for good reason. I've eaten there a couple times now and each time was great. The first time I visited following a burger craving, and this satisfied completely. The burger was cooked perfectly and the experience was great. I wasn't a big fan of the "stew," but that is just more personal preference than it being bad. The second time we got the meatball appetizer and I ordered the pizza. Again both were great. The pizza was well cooked without having a char on the bottom that often drives me insane with brick oven pizzas. The greens may have been slight excessive for me, but that's me picking at this point. Definitely would return a third time! read more

Been by this restaurant a couple of times so we decided to give it a try. I decided to get two appetizers for lunch I chose the wood fired cauliflower and the Wood Fired N/eatballs. The cauliflower was mushy and not up to other dishes I've had like this. The N/eatballs were very dry and tasted like they were left over from the night before. We were the only ones in that section, which was nice, since the restaurant was super loud. Much more lively than I was expecting for a Sunday evening! The menu offers unique options for both entrees and appetizers, but plenty of classic dishes as well, so anyone in your party would be happy. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich, which hit the spot. My mom got the pork chop dinner, which she couldn't stop raving about, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his steak sandwich. We didn't get drinks but they have a stacked lineup of those as well! I'm not in this part of town too often, but I would certainly come back if the opportunity ever arose. I passed this restaurant a few times on the rare occasions I decided to venture to the north town. My friend Terri live nearby there. I haven't seen her in a long time. So when she suggest Neat I'm all for it. The restaurant is unique and look rustic. We sat next to the bar and near kitchen. It's a high table that look like a barrel. They don't really have a lot of menu, they are interesting menu. Mostly small and finger foods. The big plate (dinner) available after 4 pm. For Wednesday it's quite a crowd for lunch time. I ordered short beef rib soup and beet and goat cheese salads. My friend ordered stuff avocado. Her food very interesting it's a whole avocado that they put cheese inside where the pit was then crusted the whole things with nuts. I identify something looks like pistachio. She enjoyed it. My soup sooo delicious! What surprised me was the amount of meat! Like a lot. I expected bit pieces of meat because that's what restaurant do with soup give you tiny teeny meat and call it a day. But not this place! I'm very happy but of course probably why the price for it is $12 because of decent amount of meat. It's hard to pay soup for $12 but I guess since they gave decent amount of meat, it's forgivable slightly . The salad is ok. It's a salad. I like the goat cheese and orange but other stuff on it, just ok. I opt for small sz salad and it's $9. I would go again and try other stuff. read more

I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I loved the way this place looked on the inside and the way it felt. People talking having a good time lots of good energy. The decor was an industrial meet wood theme. Lots of metal with wood accents and then a brick wall that brings it all together to remind you it's a wood fire pizza joint. They had a cool wooden cabinet wall that has lockers that people can pay a yearly fee to keep their own liquor. All the lockers our lite up with warm lighting. Speaking of lighting they had these two light fixtures that were barn beams with large ropes wrapped around them and lights. The staff was great. My waitress was right there to refill my water every time it got low. Took my order and food came out quick. The food was great the cauliflower cooked right and not over cooked. The sweet and spicy sauce on it was very good but they drowned the cauliflower a little and that is my only negative. The pizza was bomb! The balsamic chicken with arugula is worth getting. they didn't skimp on the arugula and or chicken. They didn't overdo the balsamic either. The flavors of the sweet glaze, the cheese, the seasoned chicken and the nutty flavor of the arugula works. I wish this place was around the corner from my house I would be here weekly. Came here for breakfast this past weekend. It was sooo fun and amazing. I like how there is a little view of a pond thing. The inside is so pretty! I love the rustic industrial look. I always drive by here when I go to transit but never stopped to try it. It looked super nice and had a nice outdoor seating. One night, my boyfriend and I was trying to decide where to eat and I suggested we try this place out. The wait was a 20 mins wait when we went on a Saturday night. We were seated outside and it was kinda chilly that night so we asked if we can move to the empty table next to us under the heater lamp -and we did. The staffs were super nice. The drinks are great. My boyfriend ordered some type of whiskey and I ordered golden pineapple. If u like sweet, that golden pineapple is the way to go. As for food we ordered the wood fired cauliflower with the sweet and spicy sauce which was so good. There was going to be about ten of us so we secured tables around 4 pm to ensure we would all be sat before a rush. Our servers were amazing! I pluralize them because we ordered so many items that came out at different times that we had a rotation of three, but the main server was great. She was very attentive to our drinks, enough shade by the umbrella, food contentment, and continuous clean plates and napkin sets. We ordered their Brussel sprouts with bacon, two orders of steamed clams, a charcuterie board, seared ahi tuna, two orders of wings (highly recommended the honey butter bbq), and then two "cup & char pepperoni" pizzas. Today we went to Neat with my husband. I was looking forward to the stuffed avocado appetizer. Unfortunately after I tried it, wasn't the same anymore. Last year in May when I had it last, the sauce was delicious, red pepper sauce. Today was tonatoe sauce, like pizza sauce. It looked very nice but the taste wasn't the same. The waitress asked in the kitchen if the changed it, but they said "no?". Why do restaurants change things like that, I can't understand. My husband had salmon with his ceaser salad. It was oily and he he said had a strange taste. Everything became more expensive but the quality is not as good as use to be. When we first went to Neat years ago, my husband ordered salmon over rice and some green sauce. It was one of the best salmons we had in a restaurant. Last year when I ordered it, looked the same but didn't taste as good and was too oily. It is a beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere and friendly people. Neat is an upscale whiskey bar and restaurant in Buffalo, NY. It offers a large choice of whiskey (scotch, bourbon, rye), wine, beer, and cocktails as well as small and large plates. We went to Neat on a late afternoon for a whiskey flight to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was not busy so we were tended to very well but our waitress. We ordered a seasonal mule (orange flavor), a whiskey flight, charcuterie board, French onion soup, and a prosciutto pear pizza (not pictured here). The drinks came out almost immediately and shortly after so did the charcuterie board and French onion soup. Before we were able to finish our appetizer, the pizza came out quickly. Our waitress was very kindly and put the pizza in a warmer until we were ready. The drinks were great and I really appreciated that the waitress said she could swap out my mule if I didn't like it. We've never had French onion soup in Buffalo and really enjoyed it. The charcuterie board was nice, we especially like the candied almonds and jellies. I wouldn't say it is the best in Buffalo, but it was nice. We really like the flavors of the pizza, but it was definitely on the thicker side for wood fired pizza. It wasn't anything special. Neat is definitely not our typical kind of place that we go to, but it was quite nice. Very upscale with prices that match that. The service was fantastic and the food was good, but nothing special. I think this would be a great place for a business meeting or lunch during work. I imagine it's even better in the summer when you can sit on their patio and sip on some drinks. read more

Neat is one of our neighborhood staples we like to visit, as it's good for all different types of groups, including kids. They have awesome outdoor seating for the warm to mildly cool months and inside is very cozy for the cold months. The wait staff we have found to be very friendly and good at what they do. Food is always delicious and the accommodate the dishes to your liking/dietary restrictions if they can. We love the Brussels sprouts, arancini, soups and their pizza. My favorite is the Bourbon Butter BBQ pizza- to die for. My husband always orders a burger and always comments that they cook it perfectly and that it's very flavorful. I ordered a stuffed pepper pizza and it was delicious and more than enough to have leftovers. It could have used more peppers on it though for sure.
