Emerald Waters

We have installed a pool before, so we have a good understanding of what to expect during the…read moreprocess. Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

Texas Native Aquatics - Here is my pool after Ryan and his guys came oit to fix it.

Texas Native Aquatics

I will never see the name Texas Native Aquatics and not relive the trauma they have caused. Let me…read moretell you about it. The previous owners of our home did not care for the pool, so after many years of trying to find the right person for the job, we thought Ryan would be our savior; boy, were we wrong. Things started off great! My husband found him on YELP with a high 4-star rating back in December 2024. Ryan was eager and appeared excited to bring our pool back to life. Ryan and Team started working on our pool February 2025. I mean, this guy is over communicating at this point. Keeping us updated on when they were coming out to the house and what materials were being purchased & so forth. We were indeed pleased. Our first biggest mistake, we paid him in full in April 2025. Ryan immediately stopped accepting our calls and stopped replying to text messages. We were out of $12,000! Thank the Lord we paid with a CC, so we took it up with our bank, but it wasn't easy. In June 2025, we were told by our bank that Ryan submitted pictures of a completed pool---claiming it was OUR pool. As a result, the ruling was ruled in Ryan's favor, not ours. We were in complete shock; utter devastation. FULL TRANSPARANCY POST NEXT: The stress was unimaginable. I stopped eating, my hair began to fall out, and I was so filled with anxiety, I could barely work. Texas Native Aquatics put such a severe strain on our lives, but my hurt turned into anger, AND WE FOUGHT BACK. We were not going to accept this! We took even more photos and gathered even more text messages to prove our case. It took hours upon hours to put the evidence together, but the hard work paid off. The claim was reopened and TODAY, the bank ruled in our favor. Today is September 16, 2025, and our pool is still unusable. It's been drained for 7 months---which can lead to more serious issues. We've declined hosting family events, friend get-togethers and birthday parties for our nephews all due to our pool condition and the pain/suffering Ryan Williams has caused. Feel free to visit his google and yelp page---as you can see, we are not the first to write about being taken advantage of. And as of recently, his ratings have declined. I am truly fearful for this guy because if he continues this type of practice, then he might end up working for the wrong client and he will be out a lot more than he is now. Lucky for him, he got a nice couple I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND RYAN WILLIAMS AND TEXAS NATIVE ACQUATICS.

This is my saga in dealing with the most impossible contractor I've ever worked with…read more This started around 7/17-18/2025. It all started well. Ryan came by to give me an estimate on a pool demolition. (He refused to address fixing the pool). He made me a great deal, and offered me a discount on some of the new equipment that the pool never got installed (about 20% of retail, better than nothing). He also told me he'd get it done in a week, if he could start right away, and I'd need to pay him half now to start. I should have heeded the bad reviews here. They are spot on. He showed up the next day and the day after that. and then didn't hear back until sometime on the following Sunday. I text him about the haphazard schedule and this was supposed to take a week what is going on? I'll be there later. He shows up with his wife and kid and they do some puttering around the yard, some work is done. The asks were spread out over the weeks but between week 2 and 5 these were some of the excuses. He needs more money. Another $1000 to order dirt. His dirt guy "let him down". We were out there, ha you didn't even know we were there (paraphrasing). We can tell nothing has changed except once when someone came by to take some equipment. I was never notified when they were going to be on site. Dirt finally shows up. They dump it in the middle of my driveway blocking everything (I have a 2x3 car driveway, there was room). It should have been put in a container as now our front lawn is covered in bits concrete that are in the dirt. We told them to move it as it is blocking my car. I had to shovel it out of the way myself so I could get to a doctor's appt a few days later. When the rest of the dirt was delivered as he called me to tell me it was coming today. (called me for the first time to inform me of something). When I came back, they had take the fence and gate off the front of my house. My wife explicitly told him that the gate must be closed when they leave everyday. He told her he had a skidsteer that can fit (It's a pretty big gate. Then he took it down anyway. It is still not back up. August 7th: They fill in the hole finally. It looks too high, I take a picture and send it to him. He replies "I'm coming by" He's told by my wife that there can't be a step here. We ask repeatedly that it seems too high, we don't want anything higher than this slab that they didn't demolish. Please bring it down, there can't be a step, my dog had back surgery in January and he can't go up and down steps. It is non-negotiable. I even recall telling him no steps or nothing more than the current drop from the house to the existing patio deck. It should also be graded. Instead, they drilled into the house to make it flush with the house. We told him several times Today August 23: He warns me for the first time in a while that concrete will be there. And they were and on time. They started to fill the form, and I noticed the went right to the top of the form where we told them we did NOT want to, creating about an 8inch step to the slab they did not demolish. I text him, "it's too high" there can't be a step. I told him to come and fix it after they just poured it. Eventually he gets here and he's already lying about what my wife told him versus what I told him. Then he accused me and my wife of not being together (don't know why that was top of mind for him). He then calls me at some point, I was away from my phone. He accused me of ignoring his communications in the voicemail. I was confused, I thought he was here. Nope, he left. Then he texted me this crazy plan to try to fix it that just didn't fix it (We'll bring that other pad up the 8inches and then use dirt to fill in the gaps...) and that he had already left instead of talking to me about it directly. He was trying to sell me on regrading my whole backyard on regrade and level. He hasn't even finished the first job competently or on-time. I've told him to tear it out. It is what I would have told him to his face if he didn't run. He said, you have to wait for it to cure. Which is hogwash, he was trying to convince me that "I'll learn to like it". Let the guys finish. All the while they're outside dying and pebbling this concrete. I had to go out there and tell them to stop and get it out. They didn't, they just hung around and it was the first time they heard that I didn't want this. Good thing my Spanish is sufficient. I'm going to give him until Monday to tear it all out and repair the damage he did to my home. Also refund me the cost of the concrete he didn't end up using. TL:DR: Do not hire this company. Do not hire Ryan Williams. You're better off doing it yourself than paying this guy to not do it. 1 week time estimate turned into 6 weeks of it not being finished and done to his own standards. He made changes, I would complain he'd blame my wife. No thank you.

Will I continue using Diamond Pools Yes. BUT, I'm giving 4 stars with a 2 Star review. I know how…read moretough it is operating a family business. We have an older pool in one of the higher end areas in Fort worth. Which means we have a lot of maintenance but need a professional job. Sadly we really never got to enjoy the pool vs. fixing it and or cleaning it. We did however get an aswsome pool/sauna heater installed by these guys, which was very professional! 5 stars. I'm not sure what the issue has been, but I explained the pressure and the flow of the pool and the jets not sweeping/ circulating the pool properly from the get go. They offered suggestions and gave me wishy washy answers. As, they were just looking for the quick fix and not wanting to get into lengthy or hard jobs, at least that's my impression. Recently, we called them to clean the pool because we were putting the house up for sell. They noticed the pump wasn't working, so they contacted me. I was like yes please fix it we are selling the house. They fixed it and asked me if we wanted the filter cleaned, I said yes go ahead. Well they cleaned the filter and fixed the pump, and cleaned the pool. Well we had pictures taken to sale the house, and we noticed murky water. BTW we are living in California selling the house in texas, so this is al via phone. So I contacted carlos and asked why, and texted the worker. I get a response that well the filter hadn't been filtering properly due to a cracked manifold and a broken grid, on top of the pump not running. But we did asked that the pool be cleaned, and come to find out they do have a machine/tool that gets sand out of the pool, that they could've used. I also brought up the fact again that the pool just doesn't seem to circulate/sweep the sand off the steps properly. Now this is after three years of using these guys, and now he mentions they could change the jets to get more flow out of them potentionally. I was like Wow, how come we haven't heard this before. So the reason, you did not get 5 stars, is the fact that I felt like I kept on having to do the following up. This pool really needed the assessing from yall, to fix any/all problems from the get go, so we could enjoy this pool. It is a business, and we were willing to pay the money to fix any and all problems/concerns with the pool. Which in return is money in yalls pockets. I by no means, am a pro when it comes to pools, I depended on yall for that. I mean I figured yall would come out assess the pool, fix this and that, ask us is there any concerns of yall with the pool, yea there is this and that issue, all right let me throw you some hypotheticals and give you some options. Instead its been a long process on getting things fixed on this pool, and now we are selling the property. Carlos is a trusting guy, and would still recommend this company to anybody, but once again I drew the short straw.

After purchasing my home right as the summer months were upon us, there were no other companies with availability. They're unprofessional and will attempt to scam you out of your money as they attempted to charge me a starting price of $1700 to open up my pool (eventually paid another company that charged me less than $300) as they stated the pool needed a full drain with acid wash. Then they claimed that filter cleans were $135 per clean and that mine likely needed at least 3, when the company that opened my pool included it in their price. The tech also used my pool tools rather than the company's, and then the secretary/manager (TJ) took the tech's side (without any discussion) after I complained about the pool not being vacuumed (not once all summer), walls being partially brushed, water left running from the hose into the pool all night without my knowledge, and the pool overall not being cleaned properly. They didn't even bother to have a ledger stating what pool services were completed or chemical levels until after I complained. Stay away from these crooks ... You've been warned.

It took a long, long time and I know it wasn't a fun process for him, because many walls were being hit, yet he never relented. Post installation and pool school, there is no remote turn on. This was discussed with the owner and he notes that it was not in the order form and we did not read the contract closely enough. Alright? But again, we worked with a sales person and we would not know how to look for that within the sales document. Now a year later, we cannot get in the hot tub unless someone sleeps at the lake house over night and turns it on at 9 am since we cannot turn it on remotely. So, beware of the salesman. Also, at the time of purchase it was 2024, why sell anything without Bluetooth? Also we had to have two pool schools because the first person who arrived did not how to even use our salt hot tub.
