Terrible resurface job. Never had an issue with stains after a resurface until Pulliam. They claim an imbalance in the chemicals, however, when balanced, the stains remain, can't even brush them out. But, of course, they recommend an acid wash that they'll happily do for more money. Not the company it used to be. read more

Longtime Pulliam customer here. They built my pool 2006 or 2007 I believe. Have used them many times since for service. Since the company sold several years ago, a bit different experience with them on the service communication side. My service tech this last experience was awesome...very helpful and did a great job with her instructions. Problem is getting the instructions from the Service folks. Multiple issues on that front where the office and the tech not on the same page and resulted in miscommunication and dampened the experience for the customer, me. I have used other pool service companies in the past and will probably do so exclusively from now on. Pulliam builds a great pool, I miss the fantastic service experience we used to enjoy. They are also very pricey but I know that from experience. read more

Buyer beware. Dealing with Pulliam Pools is akin to pulling teeth. I cannot recommend them. You are investing a lot of money, find a company that values your business. There are just so many things to write about and I don't want to waste any time on this. I had to watch their workers like a hawk to make sure they did their job right. Their workers threw cig butts in my yard, left cans, bottles in my yard. They built a fire pit in my yard and roasted corn and left the cobs in my yard. They tossed chemicals on top of my freshly planted grass. I now have issues after I wrote the last check and their management hasn't addressed them. Go figure. Avoid Pulliam. Unless you enjoy babysitting them, cleaning up after their crews, and being disrespected due to their lack of 2-way communication. read more

This is the 3rd week they have come out to clean our pool and they haven't added pool chlorine tabs. Not happy with this company at all. This is not award winning pool service. When I called them they hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager and of course he wasn't available. I just went ahead and cancelled service. For those who are looking at putting in a pool, I'd like to share my experience with Pulliam Pools. We looked at a few pool companies and narrowed it down to Pulliam Pools and Puryear Pools. Both had great designs and competitive costs, but what was our deciding factor was experience. Pulliam and Carl just couldn't be matched. From the beginning of the process to now a month since "startup", we couldn't be happier. For a first time pool owner who was a bit nervous of this journey, this company put my mind at ease. Many of you know Carl Lamsfuss who was local to VOWs. From the day we met him until the day we broke ground, his expertise and professionalism is second to none. We had no idea what we wanted and left a lot of our expectations in his hands - and he delivered. It was truly a pleasure to work with him on design, price and finalizations. Carl worked around our yard, easement and maximized our yard space with the rest of our yard to help create a well balanced oasis. Once the contract was signed and turned over to our project manager, I thought we might lose the professionalism we had with Carl. Let's face it, if you've dealt with construction project managers then you know how brash they can be. Not with Pulliam Pools. Our project manager, Greg Gilbert, was such a blessing. From the day we broke ground until this last week, Greg was there night and day, highly communicative, and was there for us every step of the way. I'm of the opinion that if you treat folks well from the beginning, the same is returned. Not always, but most of the time. Greg was awesome to work with. As far as construction goes, not a single major issue to report. The entire process was smooth, straight forward and always on time (we even had gunite 3 weeks early). As with any construction project, you'll always have minor fixes and adjustments, but with ours they were minor and fixed almost next day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first step, Pulliam Pools was a great builder to work with, and they did just that, worked WITH us every step of the way. We reached out to four different pool builders on the same date and Carl Lasmuss with Pulliam Pools was the only one that called us back. Carl walked us through the entire customization and price quote process, from the time he came to our home and asked us about everything that we were looking for in a pool, to even making suggestions for features that would or would not be cost-effective for us as a family. He continued with the great help and suggestions as we made some changes in the design and the help and suggestions even carried over into the day we picked out our tile, stone, and plaster finish for the pool. He was in communication with us the entire time, even when we were getting into the construction phase, he was there for the ground breaking. Carl put us in the great hands of Tyson Vaughan, who we met earlier when he came out to take some measurements. Tyson was our Construction Supervisor, and he was always available for any questions that we had, throughout the entire process. Tyson's attention to detail was top notch. Tyson was pointing out items that didn't meet his standards, and they were taken care of promptly. There was always updates from Tyson, and the entire process went very, very well, even finishing a week earlier than expected! To me, finishing a week early is unheard of in any construction field, as there are always delays. Way to go Carl, Tyson, and Pulliam Pools! We have had really, really bad luck with another pool company, not to be named here. We had to purchase a new heater after only three years and the company that built our pull is trying to pull one over on us. We ultimately purchased the new heater from Pulliam and I could not be happier with their service. I don't know if I'm just starved for decent customer service but I was blown away. First when we called,everyone we spoke with was incredibly nice. We were really happy with the level of communication pulliam provided and Dominique, one of their service guys, spent the time to explain our new heater, what probably went wrong with our old one and even talked to us about some other issues we're having with our pool. We've had such bad luck and service with the company that built our pool, it's really refreshing to deal with a team that seems to enjoy what they're doing. Top notch customer service. Pulliam built my pool in September 2021. The design and finished product is beautiful and the designer did a great job choosing the colors/materials. However, if I had it to do again I would NOT use Pulliam. The service, communication, and professionalism were poor from the start of the project through current service issues. The initial sales pitch was misleading on what to expect from the company and my build experience. I've tried to contact the owner and she has never returned my calls. I had confidence in the company due to their longevity in the market, however after my experience, I don't know how they have survived in such a competitive industry with the poor customer service and below average product. I've had multiple service calls due to malfunctioning equipment and each time I'm told by the technician, "that wasn't done right". I'm still awaiting yet another service call for a leaking pump for 2 weeks now. Given the numerous issues I've already had and the fact my pool is only 6 months old, I am very concerned about how the equipment will holdup and what future repair costs will be with their limited warranty. The finishings are bottom of the line- ie light, switches, skimmers, jets and system controls. This was my first pool to build and unfortunately a very poor experience. read more

We bought a pool from Pulliam in 1997 and it was everything you could want and so was Pulliam. Fast forward to 4 years ago and new house. We chose Pulliam to put it in because of our first experience. Before pool was finished there was a leak in the plumbing. Since then there have been 3 more. Including both skimmers. Their stance is our guarantee is up so too bad. I feel like a pool should last for longer than 4 years. This makes me so sad. They used to be fantastic. But we will never recommend them. read more

Pulliam built our pool so I really wanted to use them to re-plaster our pool. I was told there is only one man who handles pool renovation. Guess I will start looking for another pool company. We thought we were going with a reputable company but we were wrong! The worst experience possible. Pulliam made so many mistakes and wouldn't take any ownership. Pretty much what's done is done and we just had to accept it. There was a mistake in EVERY step of our process. We were told "YOU should have been there watching to stop the contractors"......We are on month 5 of building our pool and it's still not done. We signed our contract in March and it's now July! We had a minor problem with our pool this week. Pulliam built our pool 2.5 years ago. I called them on Saturday and they had someone out on Monday. Our pool equipment was fixed under warranty no questions asked. Many companies try to delay/deny warranty work but Pulliam truly stands behind their product. The service team has been excellent dealing with. Our minor repairs were done earlier then what they told us, correctly, and with a smile. Frank was our technician who worked hard to ensure we were happy. Chris, the GM came out to check on everything, and the entire company has followed through and exceeded our expectations. When you need Pulliam for service, it will be done quickly and with a smile. Thanks for making the repair stress free. If anyone asked why I built a pool with Pulliam, I always tell them it's because of the service commitment. If I ever build a pool again, I will be using Pulliam! read more

Called Pulliam pool for Parker County and was told they would not give me an estimate for a pool renovation because the pool was not originally built by them, they only renovate pools built by Pulliam this time of year. Guess they have so much business they can afford to turn people away at will, must be nice to be that big and successful. They had been recommended to me by several people and I had heard only good things about there service, they were starting out as my number one choice based on what I had been told but now are out of the running all together. I am disappointed to have to write this review, as I believe there are some quality employees at Pulliam that want to do their jobs well. However, I purchased a home 2 months ago that had a pool installed by Pulliam 13 months prior. We were in a rush to get settled in as we were relocating from CA and my wife was 8 months pregnant, so we were not able to enjoy the pool right away. Once we did finally get around to inspecting, we realized that a huge crack was bisecting the pool, resulting in approximately 2 inches of chlorinated water per day leaking into our yard. (Pool was 15 months old at this point). Immediately we contacted Pulliam and were informed that "we do not warranty our work for any subsequent owner", refusing to help us address the issue. I contested that assertion on the grounds that the pool made it through only 1 swimming season before catastrophic failure. After asking around, I am of the opinion that inadequate ground preparation was done, allowing Pulliam to get by "on the cheap" which resulted in cracking that began immediately. (As info, the base of the pool has sprinklers that keep the ground wet each day to mitigate ground swell due to arid conditions). Please carefully consider your pool contractor's ground preparation plans prior to construction. read more

We've had our pool for around 6 months now and I can truly say that it is one of the best investments we've ever made. Our kids swim everyday, we can cool off in the hot Texas summer and it really brings a great focal point to our backyard. Pulliam Pools was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process (including the pool design and construction as well as the financial planning). Contractors were polite, punctual and very skilled at their individual trades. As with any large construction project there were a couple of problems, but Pulliam was very quick to recognize and resolve them.
