Mark Lebowitz is a caring and intuitive IT tech…read more I was starting to panic after 2 weeks of no wifi in my home. Comcast had run new cable from the pole but when the problem continued, it became my fault, not theirs. I scrambled to find an independent IT contractor and after a few failed attempts, called Lebowitz IT Services. He ran a "ping test" diagnosis on my modem (which I lease from Comcast) and while the signal was strong, there were inconsistencies that could have been enough to interrupt my service. I then insisted Comcast send another tech and sure enough, that was the problem. They actually had to "dumb-down" my modem to an older model that was more tolerant of the inconstancies. I can certainly recommend Mark for any home business IT work.

My computer issue was more in-depth than originally anticipated and what set Monolith apart was the consistent contact updating me on computer. I didn't have to sit and wonder what was happening. They were very responsive and communicative. I also appreciate the time Monolith took to explain what was happening with my computer (granted most of it was over my head) but Bill did try to break it down to my level of understanding. On a final note- the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Monolith to any of my friends and I will certainly use them again should new computer issues arise.

After 3 more weeks they called to say it would have been ready but one of their techs broke the power button while putting it back together. I dropped it off on 7/3 and now it is 8/18 and I STILL DON'T HAVE MY COMPUTER. I can order parts online and have them in 2 days but I guess they can't - for the price I'm paying to have it repaired thee could have sprung for overnight shipping. Poor customer service and obviously poor technicians too.

Anyway, she somehow broke the molded piece where you insert your power cord. No idea how she did that, didn't even know it was something you could break, but there you are, it's The Queen. Anyway we took her computer in to Chat Tech Solutions to see if they could fix it, The office is small but so cute. Very open space and lots of natural light. The gentleman who was working there was very pleasant and offered us beverages while he assessed the damage to the computer. He called someone because he was not sure if the repair could be done and it turns out, they do not do that type of repair because it requires soldering. However he was kind enough to recommend another place of business, which is where we ended up going to get the repair done. For me that shows a wonderful regard for taking care of the customer, even though they did not make the sale. I will definitely consider them for other work that they can take care.

These guys saved me. My external hard drive crapped out on me one month after the year warranty…read more It had all my pictures, music and documents. So pretty much everything. I looked online at the cost of getting this retrieved. Let's just say at Christmas time, those prices make you want to cry. I had seen this place but never had a need. But I went on line and sure enough in their huge list of services they provide, data recovery was listed. I emailed them on Sunday (early evening), later that night I already had a reply. On a day off for the store. They told me they could try to get the data off and if they were unsuccessful they would help me get it to another company to try. You can't beat that for service. So I dropped off the drive Monday night. Tuesday afternoon, I got a call. They were getting really positive results. It seemed as though they were going to be able to restore most if not all of what I lost. They decided to let it continue to run. They asked me how I wanted to get it returned. Whether I wanted to buy a new drive elsewhere or one of theirs. At that point I turned to them for advice. I obviously didn't want to have this happen again. So they offered me a large external drive with a 3 year warranty. They handle the warranty portion for you. They transferred all my data to this new drive. And all of this service for $350 at a local vendor. Just to give you a little understanding of what I was quoted online for this service (without the external drive) was in the area of $1000- $1500. And that was to mail it out and insure it on top of that. So needless to say, I am extremely pleased with Build-A-Comp's technical work and customer service. Just FYI, if you are pc gaming person they make very cool pc's. I know nothing about them, but based on my experience, I would expect a great machine. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks.
