Beautiful cafe! Friendly employees and a good place to stop to get a latte and a snack! We split a cinnamon bun and a chocolate croissant! I love the decor I. the cafe as well- and everything was clean and beautiful. What a lovely experience sitting at the bar area-if you are a museum member you get a discount t!

The café of the North Carolina Museum of Art is a lovely addition to the already beautiful museum. While the menu isn't extensive, it does offer sufficient choice to suit most tastes, with something for everyone. I visited on a Saturday around 11 a.m. for brunch and had booked in advance, which proved wise since the museum gets crowded at weekends. I enjoyed a delicious and shrimp salad and it was wonderfully fulfilling. The decor inside the café is beautifully set to balance with the aesthetic ambience of the museum so that the overall experience is that of an integral part of the work of art. Worth dropping by if you are in the area, sure thing!

I had an absolutely delightful lunch with my cousin on Saturday at The Cafe at The Raleigh Museum of Art! This cafe is certainly a bustling place and a bit bit noisy, but with all that aside we had a delicious meal. After viewing all the art, we took a respite, sat down and watched all the food going by. It was difficult to decide what to order; it all looked so good. We started with a fondue appetizer with a dab of fig jam and a basket of crustini! Killer! For my lunch entree I had a huge wedge of a hearty veggie filled quiche with fruit salad. My cousin had a large scoop of cranberry and pecan filled chicken salad with a croissant and a side fruit salad. Two peach ice teas topped off our meals!

Kind staff and good food, a little overpriced but for the location and atmosphere it's not out of place.

The owners have thoughtfully created a warm & welcoming space both inside & out. Beautiful landscaping greets you as you walk up to Vino's patio. We truly forgot we were a stone's throw away from downtown streets thanks to the trees, fire pits, strung lights, and overall chill vibe. They even have blankets for those chilly Raleigh nights! The wine list is purposefully pieced together and offers such variety at fair & affordable pricing. We look forward to many future visits to experience so many unique varietals & countries represented. I know which food item I am going to try on my next visit - the Brie & prosciutto panini! Sounds scrumptious! The inside decor of Vino Wine Bar in downtown Raleigh has nooks to settle into in addition to a beautiful bar. Great hospitality greeted us at every turn.

First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

The service on both occasions was a little lacking in attentiveness. We waited a long time between each check in for having waters filled or ordering more drinks. And it wasn't busy. One piece of feedback for anyone reading this, that is not the restaurant's fault, is that it isn't a great place to watch a football game. We came here to watch an NFL playoff game and the place was nearly empty at 8 pm on Saturday. It's not bad. I'll repeat that. I enjoyed my food (nachos and a burger). The TVs overcome the wall space, the chairs have seen things, and the décor bravely commits to no particular decade or idea whatsoever. Surfaces carry the gentle patina of past patrons--proof that fun was had and only lightly addressed afterward. The staff dash between tables like they've got invisible rockets on their shoes, balancing trays, menus, and the occasional existential dread. New customers arrive like clockwork, and somehow each one is greeted with a smile while the last table is still mid-order and someone else's fries are teetering on the edge of oblivion. Multitasking isn't a skill here--it's a survival tactic. The Old Fashioned lands on the table with all the fanfare of a workmanlike touchdown: competent, decent enough, but not the stuff of legends. No smoky magic, no alchemy--just whiskey, sugar, bitters, and ice doing their basic jobs. The nachos show up looking hopeful: a modest pile of chips garnished with a polite drizzle of cheese sauce, a dab of sour cream, a spoonful of salsa, and a sprinkling of lettuce that screams "fresh-ish." The problem is, the cheese is timid, more of a suggestion than a commitment, and the whole thing settles somewhere between "edible" and "I could have made this at home, probably better. This feels like a burger joint to me.....Cheers!
