I was hoping I could buy one, and there they were!!!! A great size assortment and a big price, an embarrassing price, but I really wanted the sparkle tee shirt just like our amazing team wore right after their incredible WIN!!! And so, I gave myself a July Birthday present--I bought myself the tee for (gasp!) $75. The most I have ever paid for a tee shirt. The quality is there, it is a very well made, high-end quality, heavyweight cotton tee, with embellishments that put this tee in a higher price category but I would have liked a top price of $50 a lot better than the real price of $75. BUT, the tee has the gold embroidered NIKE SWISH LOGO in the neck band, it has black embroidered numbers on the lower right rear, indicating the 16 games THE NY KNICKS WON. I had to ask what that meant LOL. I paid $1 fee for the MSG bag, since I wanted to keep my precious new tee from getting messed up. I am so very happy that MSG SHOP had this special tee shirt, and I am grateful that I was able to buy one. Oh!!! And when I wear this magnificent NY KNICKS CHAMPIONSHIP SPARKLE TEE, strangers say things to me: "LOVE THE SHIRT!!" "NICE SHIRT!!" "GREAT SHIRT", and about half the people do a brief chat, too!!! NBA Store is a sports store that sell only basketball related apparels, hats, socks, basketballs etc. I have been coming here for a very long time but never got the chance to buy anything until now. I bought two KNICKS snapback hats. And they are sick!! I like this store because it's the freaking official NBA store. Basketball is my number one sport since childhood. Prices are quite expensive but I need to show support of the Knicks. Staff were nice. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed my cool hats. read more

I've been to the NBA store before, but I definitely don't remember it being this busy. Maybe it's bc the Knicks are in the Finals and suddenly everyone and their neighbors are lifelong fans. You know the type they are called bandwagon fans and the season is now. The store itself is spread across different floors. With different sections depending on the team, player, or type of merchandise. Whether you're shopping for jerseys, or accessories, it's pretty easy to get around. One thing to note was the staff. There were plenty of employees around, and they were friendly and willing to help answer questions or point you in the right direction. After the Knicks awesome championship clinching victory I made sure to be on line early the next morning to be one of the first in to purchase Knicks NBA Champions gear. On only a few hours sleep for an 8am opening I got inside after a short wait on line and they had a ton of swag to buy - hats, shirts, and other items. Even though it was a bit crazy they did good crowd control and only let in small groups at a time which was very smart. I can't believe an official NBA store would do shady things like now have prices on products. All the Knicks merchandise has prices crossed off with a black marker. I don't care if they charge $100 for a hat. It's NYC law to show prices on articles displayed in the store. This is a disgusting practice trying to scam tourists on Fifth Avenue. I ordered a Golden State Warriors hoodie and a Golden State Warriors t-shirt. The order was listed as delivered and I will send an email saying such. But I never received the order. I called the number which isn't listed by the way, you have to do a deep search to find it, and they told me they would send out a replacement package. Well they only sent out the replacement package for the t-shirt and when it said delivered, surprise surprise, it wasn't there again. I called for a refund and was given the runaround for a good two days. I would never recommend this website to anyone. They're almost scam artist! read more

This place delivered yet again! Recently after my roommate/best friend's dog past away (RIP Zeus!), I asked all of our closest mutual friends to come together and order a custom Knicks Jersey with Zeus #1 on the back. Everyone immediately gave a resounding yes so I went to nbastore.com to check out our options. Everyone looked great but the only issue was that there were 3 different types of jersey's to order from (not really an issue per say, but I was confused about the difference). After consulting with my pops (he's my go to consultant for many things in life!), I went over to the nba store on 5th ave yet again, and told them about my dilemma. They kindly showed me the different jersey types and didn't make any fuss when I examined each with a fine-tooth comb, as this was a very special gift and I wanted to make sure it came out perfect. They even helped me narrow down the right size to get, based off my vague description of him being about 5'9-5'11 and somewhere between 165-180 pounds. I was thrown off because he's lanky but kind of muscular but also skinny... if that makes sense? Anyway, they assured he could return it and change the size if need be. I ended up with choosing the Swingman model in a Large and they assisted as I customize the jersey on the spot via the website. When it arrived, I randomly put it in the freezer momentarily and asked my best friend to grab me some ice, "since my hands were full." Once he spotted the jersey and figured out what was happening, his eyes lit up. As soon as he put the jersey on, it was clear that the size and fit was perfect. This place is very touristy. Maybe 17-20 years ago or so, I would frequent here and wear jerseys that didn't quite fit, lol. However, as that was many moons ago, I hadn't been here since. I recently learned that the store relocated to this location and I came because I wanted to pick up a Bleacher Report collaboration with The New York Knicks t-shirt that recently came out and was a hot commodity. I came in and asked the greeter/front door person about the shirts--he told me to go up to the third floor and inquire. When I get to the third floor, the employee isn't aware of the shirt either and has to wait awhile to get the managers attention. The manager or who I believe was the manager, said it's probably long gone, but never speaks to me directly, he says it to his employee. The employee reiterated what he said, but doesn't seem to sure. I go back to the ground level and ask another employee who says the shirts are one level beneath. At this point I'm frustrated because it seems nobody in the store knows about the products they sell! I head downstairs and I'm told it's sold out. It just seems everyone here is clueless, they have way too many tourists so it's hard to maneuver in the store--I think it will be quite some time before I return here. read more

Save yourself some time and hassle and just make the purchase online. The manager, who was recently promoted over from running an NHL store, was condescending and very abrupt. When asked questions about the availability of a Kobe Bryant jersey, she said rudely "Did you see it? If not, we don't have it." Upon asking another employee downstairs, we were able to find it. When I went to check out, she just said "Guess you just didn't look hard enough the first time, huh?" Basically, if you want to have a negative experience, this is your spot. I went into New York City for a day of shopping and the NBA store was high on my list. I was looking for a sweatshirt for myself and my son. He is 6'4 so it's always a challenge to find something long enough in the body and the arms. Kadeem helped me out! He is the same height as my son and went above and beyond to find the size I needed. He was extremely polite and professional. I know some reviews were uphappy about their experience, but everyone I met in the store said hello, asked if I needed help, pointed me in the right direction, and thanked me. Merchandise choice is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll find the same product cheaper or on sale online. Store aside the basement is very small and crowded because of the way the racks are situated. If you love NBA hoops definitely have to stop by, but you can find more merchandise online at better prices. Last but not least, ever since major sports leagues like NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL sold the operations and management and granted licensing to Fanatics the vast majority of clothing designs are lame and quality is poor. There were barely any WNBA items. This is crazy, considering how well the liberty have done and that they are going into the finals with a packed arena. The items that they did have were hidden in the corner of the basement. The very helpful and knowledgeable general manager, Kevin, told me that he gets complaints about this every day, but the higher ups are not doing anything about it. I was prepared to buy WNBA jerseys for my entire family to wear to the finals and left the store empty-handed. This is just not acceptable. This is a large store, with a big selection of NBA gear. Make sure you make it to all three floors - we almost missed the basement! For Warriors fans, there is a big mural of the champions on the ground floor by the back door you can snap a photo of. I was looking for a specific size of Lakers slippers for my brother, and the associate I asked very lazily responded that all they had was out, he didn't even try to check for more, nor did he pay much attention to my request. Employees seem to be everywhere in this store, but only a few greet you and few are really jumping to help you. Just hope you find what you need on the rack! I hadnt received it a month later gave them a call said it is on its way they are working on the order. called again offered me a discount and said I would still recieve it a month later they returned my money saying they couldn't fulfill it. then not realizing they are connected happen to stumble upon the NBA Store website and saw the shirt so I ordered it. again it said they had it and then never fulfillled the order and sent me money back.
